Oh another person who appreciates Nam Joo Hyuk's raw and vulnerable portrayal of Do San ..he acted so well I was in awe at times ...I even loved him in weightlifting fairy but here he was at the top of his game ..what is wrong with people ..why can't they see what we saw !!!

Ep 1 - the whole alley scene where Pat pulls in Pran to save him from his friends and that whole scene of Pran without any dialogues sitting in his room and staring at his watch given back to him by Pat and reminiscing about the past and making us realize how in love he is !!!

ohh thank god !! I was afraid to admit it thinking I might get hate for it but i absolutely loved Do San ..I'm a sucker for underdog characters and he played it brilliantly ..like there were moments I actually wanted to go inside the screen and give him hug whenever he felt slighted or under confident even though he was a genius !! like his actions seem so justified. I still cannot understand ( other than the romantic threat he posed) reason why Do San's character is disliked by so many when I couldn't find anything unlikeable about him ...Oh yes your so on point about not being able to understand why HJP fell in love with Dal Mi instantly after so may years ..also why only after she started showing interest in Do San ...like for him she didn't even exist in his world before that in spite of the fact that he had written all those letters to her ...i would have been much more convinced had they shown that HJP was in love with Dal Mi since childhood when they had exchanged the letters etc !!

That I completely agree on ...2gether worked the way it did for several reasons none of which had actually to do with the quality of the show...first factor also the most important one was that it came at a time when people were stuck at home finding things to do ...so timing was the biggest factor in favor of 2gether ..also having 2 immensely attractive leads helped a lot ...so people got infatuated and didn't care much for the quality of the show which though not bad was nothing spectacular...and yes still2gether was a much better show (off course it was directed by pAof so had to be )...but I will give credit where its due which is 2gether helped a lot of people find something to obsess over and pass their time at a much needed point in their life and that it did help to propagate the BL genre to international audiences much more efficiently than any drama had done before it...

ohhh you make some really good points...especially about the breakup...I know they had to make it dramatic that Do San wouldn't have gone to the US and sued the company or so unless Dal Mi let go of him but still it does seem weird though it is something I can live with from dramatics point of view but oh my god ur so on point about the whole demonising Do San thing..I mean when I started the show I was literally waiting since the beginning for Do San to show up and for me to start hating him like I had read in so many comments etc but with every scene I was like okay why am I supposed to hate this sweet guy who is already an underdog and a very likeable character ? and then i put myself in the shoes of delusional people and could see how Do San was a threat for my fantasy ship of Dal Mi and HJP and I could understand that point of view though I despised the fact that a show had to suffer becoz fans couldn't let go of their stupid prejudices and see what the series was trying to show and also understand why it had to be Do San ....I agree with everything you said about Do Sans personality and how he was such likeable character ...even though I came for Kim Seon Ho and frankly I loved HJP too except the whole So Dal Mi romance angle which kind of ruined bit of his image for me, it was Do San who surprised me the most ...instead i would have loved if they would have explored more of HJP's rapport with the grandma which according to me was one of the biggest usp of the show and a much more interesting aspect than the whole forced romance angle ...

Exactly ...the show would have been way better if it was just left as a mentor/mentee relation and the two distinct relations of HJP and grandmas familial love and Do San and Dal Mi's romantic love were given equal spot to shine individually instead of messing it up! I found this comment I had written while watching which explains the moment it was clear that Dal Mi and Do San are endgame - "Ep 7 Ending is very crucial if you look at it a little more deeply...the director really played a subtle game here which you can see in the way the scene is executed....that's where you get the answer for the so called love triangle..sure Dal-Mi says that she will chose the one who wrote those letters as that was her first love and that she is still getting used to the current Do San...this itself gives an idea that she thinks of the previous Do San as a fantasy and she is obliged to love him since he comforted her when she needed the most...but she also says that even though the current Do San does not resemble the one in the letters, in between there are moments when he makes her heart flutter ..remember this is the conversation before the kiss at the end of ep 7...then that kiss initiated by Dal Mi just solidifies her feelings and removes any doubt that she has been harboring regarding the current Do-San...in that moment the current Do san replaces the memories of a 15 year back Do san that the treasured more...."
