5.0/10 - Okay, I'm thinking after this episode we'll be moving into the meat of the drama.

Boom! Finally Lee Dong Gun's character is officially introduced!!! We are now formally introduced to Ji Kang Woo the newly appointed artistic director. He is kind of reminds me of the male version of Lee Yeon Seo. So that's a bit off putting.Ji Kang Woo has to admit Ni Na has a point. In the dance world. Especially ballet next time usually means "you're out" and other things. Directors always have favorites unless you get an honest one. Those really don't exist. Especially in dance companies. Connections sadly. That said . . . I became super confused by Ji Kang Woo's interests in Lee Yeon Seo. Is he just a super fan? Or is it another past connection. It's nice he was gonna push her to dance before the she got her sight back. So I want to think he had nothing to do with her "accidents". He's still a bit on the back burner so we'll see what happens! Lee Yeon Seo is definitely the total opposite of the lead in Lucky Romance. Instead of stopping to smell the flowers she's pulling them up and destroying them. Kim Dan is right. She takes no pleasure in life and is not impressed by anything. If you can't enjoy the small things then you'll never be happy. The issue so far is that Lee Yeon Seo is very unlikable. Her parents died . . . yeah that happens to everyone. She's blind. Well I hate to say it she had every cushion in the world to help her with that. (Try to be poor and blind. So on.) She's such an angry, greedy, miserable person so on, and on, and on ext. It's just that no matter her hardships you can't really relate to such a horrible person. Yikes. I'm very curious to see how Kang Woo will handle her. Clearly Lee Yeon Seo only respects people who talk shit to her face. Who confront her. Basically people who act like her. So maybe Ji Kang Woo will be able to reach her. Because Kim Dan only acts that way when she's pushed him to his limits. Now for that cliffhanger!!! What's up with his wings and will Lee Yeon Seo actually "see" them? Hmmmm. From the previews I feel like that's a no.

5.0/10 - Tragedy can still be predictable.

*sighs* Mr. Jo was set for eye harvesting from the beginning. Wouldn't it have been a better drama if this kindhearted man lived? More interesting to see Lee Yeon Seo realize that Mr. Jo was her second father. MORE than father. He was her family, friend, and everything. It would have been more interesting to bypass the obvious death of the only person who cared and loved her to instead show them bonding. Show their interactions and eventual growth together. That's what would have been interesting. Moving. The better storyline. Poor drama. Though considering the writer it does fit very well with the type of plot tragedy that is this writer's style. The difference this time the lead is super a depressing and rude lead. Where Lucky Romance's female lead was warm, loving and always happy/optimistic. So there's the twist. Or attempt at change. Mmmmmm. So Lee Dong Gun's character seems to definitely be in the real world. We have not officially been introduced yet. I feel like the obvious plot is that Ni Na's parents have maybe highered him to romance her. Though clearly the car accident was an assassination attempt . . . so was he plan b? Or what? Or does he have no relations to her aunt and uncle? Is he a super creepy fan . . . OOOOOOOOO! What if he's a bodyguard that Mr. Jo paid to watch her!!!!!!! Though . .. that doesn't really work so far. Hmmmmmmmm. I love trying to guess! But I have a feeling I'm way over thinking it.Kim Dan didn't do much except to see Lee Yeon Seo be weird and seemingly cold. I mean that creepy smile at Mr. Jo's funeral was indeed freaky stuff. Yikes! He missed her emotional break over seeing that video of herself with Mr. Jo and her parents. I hate it when they kill the only person off who loves the lead, just to show what a disciple person they became/were. I want to see those kind of relationships mend. Those kind of characters protect the person they love, mend the relationship, and see their loved one restored. Okay, I'll stop ranting. So we're getting more of how Ni Na is a good person. Her family just doesn't let her be good. Hmmmmm. This is another drama trope build up there. Overall this is still building a decent setup. I tell you Kim Dan or Lee Dong Gun's character are going to be her new chauffeur/secretary. The twist that she now has anxiety and can't do anything because she did everything with Mr. Jo seems weird. Though it's drama irony: " I did everything with him. I can't do any of that now? Although I can see now?"

5.0/10 - I really wanted Lee Dong Gun's character to be an angel of vengeance or death.

I really wanted Lee Dong Gun's character to be an angel of vengeance or death. Oooooo, what if he's a hitman? Nah, he's gonna be something lame. *sighs* Either way his smirk to Yeon Seo was so brief I had to back it up to check!! If he is a hitman creepy or either of my other fun options. I doubt it though.Overall this was a great other half and from now on I shall quit breaking/merging the episodes up. So moving on. I thought Shin Hye Sun did a wonderful job at being blind. She is a lovely prima ballerina. Her arms are lovely. Though I think they picked that dress because she doesn't quite have the feet. Though only a dancer—especially a ballet dancer—would pick that up. Either way her arms and hands hit beautifully. So I was right. It's not that her dancing has hindered her in being a ballerina. It's simply that she is still grieving. She's in the anger/hate stage. She cursed everyone and everything. Hating her existence. It's moving seeing her history with Jo Seung Hwan. The instance I saw their past I knew that if she does get her eyesight back it will be Jo Seung Hwan eyes. Likely of them being a match is ridiculously low in reality, but this is dramaland! Not to mention the cruel things that she said to him in the back of the car. Especially after Kim Dan mentioned before that she will regret everything she has said to Jo Seung Hwan. It's easy to let your rage out on those you love when you're suffering. It would only make Lee Yeon Seo's story more tragic to recieve the eyes of her "second" father. Ni Na isn't really developed. But she is a stereotype at this point. She's the second to Lee Yeon Seo. I beautiful soul. A person who hit a cat and wants to stop to save it. If what her dad said is true she probably did mourn Lee Yeon Seo's tragedy. Though if they keep with this trope eventually she will turn into a villian becuase she no longer can take other's cruelties or she'll just let it happen even knowing. You know the kind. I hope—because of the writer—she'll be more complex! Anywho. Tragedy is gearing up for Lee Yeon Seo! Though I believe she will get her eyes back! To be honest I did like the idea of a blind leading lady. We'll see what happens. Especially to Kim Dan. As flashbacks show Kim Dan and Yeon SEo must have had a past. Looks like young Yeon Seo saved young Kim Dan from suicide? Or at least from dying. Goodness. Even this drama can not escape the tragic setup of knowing each other as children. Or at least the whole paths crossing. (I can't believe it! I ramble just as much with 30 min episodes as the full 1 hour ones!)

5.0/10 - Still setting things up.

So this episode of course is working on the setup. Since it's only half the normal time that means the next will help it feel more like a full episode of a "normal" episode. It's an interesting enough setup. Lee Yeon Seo was a ballerina until a stage light fell and broken glass pierced her eyes. Killing her dreams. (Which I will argue about further down.) Three years later she's waiting for a cornea transplant. A transplant that is being thwarted by her own aunt. Which kind of backs up my first impressions that the stage light incident was probably not an accident. Either her aunt did it. Or Ni Na's mom. (I think the woman in the car is her mom.) Either way it's a great setup. The angel bit isn't too over the top. I'm looking for a quirky drama! But I don't want it to be insane. It's funny I was looking for a quirky drama like Lucky Romance and this is by the same screenwriter! So my expectations are higher. L as Kim Dan makes for a fun and lovable angel who just happens to meddle in the wrong doers live's. Though setting dogs lose like that to roam may not have helped them. (If I want to be totally negative some activists set the minks loose on a farm here. You know what happened? They get hit on the road and got ate by other predators. Those never found starved.) He really makes you smile. Though I found what he said about Lee Yeon Seo's reaction to jumping off the bridge after she goes blind odd. That most people don't react like that to tragedy. If he's talking about suicide there's a startling proof off stats of how many people do take they're lives after going deaf or blind. It's common sense. I really want to know if he meant something else. Overall I'd say Lee Yeon Seo is not an ice queen or whatever. She is a woman who has grown up under staggering tragedies her whole life. Losing one's sight is one of those things that you can only hope to never, ever, have to go through. Because the loss of sight affects so many things. Not to mention her parents so on. She's a woman living with one disappointment after another. A woman people are constantly messing with and trying to sabotage. Because I'm sure it was to end her life, but for her own aunt to want her to remind blind. My issue is that losing one's sight does not mean she can't dance. My Pointe teacher would have us blind folded so that we could learn how to memorize the length of steps and leaps to get to position. Not only that but to test how we used the space and made up for each other's leg length. There are a number of professional ballerinas who are deaf and blind. Being blind might mean you may not be able to reach certain height. But she can do battle with jerks in the park and since their presence. I have no doubt she could dance again. It would be nice if this is just a pity party she has to over come. It would be lovely to see her take dance back. Though I feel like this drama will not let her stay blind for long. The setup of Kim Dan not being able to be touched by a human without disappearing seems . . . silly. As in silly stupid. We'll see how it goes though. I'm looking forward the the other half to see where this drama is going.

6.0/10 - I think the story should really start leveling out now.

Oh, I think I got myself confused. Liu Su Ruo's brother might be innocent. I think Liu Su Ruo and that other head of the the Golden Deity's sect might be making plans. Though I was so sure it was Liu Su Ruo's brother who did it, but she also didn't want certain brothers to know. Hmmmm. I'm curious why they need Qin Zhi Yan. Perhaps forced marriage allience? That siad I love how Zhao Yao begged for her life and it sparked his memory. I wonder if she was sticking to her tried and true tactics or if she remembered what she had told Li Chen Lan in the past. She's certainly taking advantage of the situation though. Being a disciple is one way to gain power. Okay. I call bull. Firstly Zhao Yao may have become a bad person, but she did do good. Even while being bad. She saved Mo Qing / Li Chen Lan. She also, in that montage of video of her rise to power, helped others who were abused by the "good sects". Plus Li Chen Lan has been doing good in her name. So I call bull that she doesn't have any good deeds currency in that land of the dead. Qi Zi! Zhao Yao can really weave a tale though. At least she probably got Li Chen Lan to help her with the deeds. I wonder how she's going to turn visible again after taking that pill. Or when will the real Qin Zhi Yan get a bathroom break? Very cool build up here. Just enough mystery and vengeance between the soon to be lovebirds that can easily be solved. I'm excited to see Zhao Yao regain her powers. I complained too early. She still has her martial arts, but her powers are gone. So that's cool. Even more I'm happy to see her journey to becoming a caring person again.

7.0/10 - Very annoyed she's lost her powers. It was expected, but still annoying.

Okay, so I was right. Zhao Yao did turn into a bad person. More concerned with people fearing her than with the state of the people around her. I was wondering. It's okay Zhao Yao—my goddess—everyone gets corrupted by power. Speaking of corruption. This villain Jiang Wu is creepy. Plus, he wants Wan Lu Sect. EVIL! I'm curious to see if they will flesh him out or not. I feel like they should since he is in the main lead spot on the cast page as I type this.Mo Qing has not only ascended to sect leader of Wan Lu, but to his real name Li Chen Lan son of the Demon King. It's so hilarious he talks about making world peace and Zhao Yao was clearly blood thirsty! She wanted to rule the world! Ha-ha. She's enraged at what he's done to her alter and so on. Ready to kill him. He coughs from her evil intentions only to talk to her dead spirit about achieving world peace! Oh, my! WHAT!!! Zhao Yao has lost her powers!! I KNEW IT! They took away her hard won powers so she could be a weak damsel. Gosh that pisses me off. As long as she can become strong again I'm okay with that. *sighs* It's just that she worked so hard before. Though maybe being humble will help improve her outlook. He did rescue her! I just love how amused Zhao Yao is and that she keeps telling him he saved the wrong girl. She's still a rash hot head though. Despite learning how to get her powers back, and then over hearing Li Chen Lan say he's gained all his powers. AKA Demon Son powers! She rushs him. To only end up being defeated of course. Now she needs to figure out how not to be killed by him. Maybe she should run back into that tree and figure out how to get that resurrection pill. I'm pondering if I should brave fixing the Cast page. There's a lot of actors/character missing. Such as Liu Su Ruo's brother, who is a new character father? Ugh. It's a mess. I'm a mess! I'm trying to take notes to keep the names straight.

6.0/10 - Not 100% there with the mistaken betrayal.

Mmmmmmmm. The basis for his supposed betrayal is very thin. In fact, it's a bit unbelievable. She thinks that he will do anything for her. Then bam! He's using her to get the sword? Nah. Though maybe the shock of dying muddled her up. To be honest I'm in a bit of shock too with her death! For my beloved Zhao Yao to go out that way. She must of really forgotten how much Mo Qing liked her and how compassionate he was. Though this did answer my question about his fight skills. Which I hope grew more for him to be the new sect leader. After all he was week when Zhao Yao died. I truly love the fast pace of The Legends. Which is something C-dramas apparently do well for their Wuxia. What I don't like is that the director—writer or both of them—really like to rely on flashbacks. The issue is they're too long and stuff we have seen in the current episode! I mean it's annoying to see it from the previous episodes, but the current one! Yikes! It really drags down the pacing and story. There's also the sloppy quality around a murder that happened five years ago. I murder that was super out of place and to now just be addressing it five years later! WTF! It's odd and out of place. The weird seal around Liu Su Ruo's brother's neck—I assume that's who the guy was—means he's possessed or playing with "evil" magic. It seemed to me like Qin Yu was murdered, but that's up in the air. Not to mention that Qin Yu's daughter just popped up out of no where. (The cast page is not helping me keep the names straight and they're to new for me to catch on yet. Not to mention the pictures are super hard to match. Over photo editing and makeup is a curse!) Either way this is a bit of a jumbled mess. Though I think I get what they're trying to setup. If you're a long time Epic/High fantasy reader I think you'll be able to flow with the unflowing story. If you're not it might seem really jumbled to a point where viewers might not be able to follow. It is after all the rush to setup the real story. Which is something I'm starting to become accustomed to with fantasy Wuxia. As mentioned above it killed me to see Zhao Yao go out like that. Though I did see in her internal voice as she figured out how to use Mo Qing that may have become a bit . . . bad. I'm not saying she's evil, but she was cruelly calculating with how Mo Qing feels about her. That said my girl Zhao Yao is still awesome! When the ice broke and she broke out I cheered. I suppose the synopsis only spoiled the beginning of how this drama is going to go.

6.0/10 - Certain parts were so totally amazing I feel like I should give it a 7, but . . . .

I get that Grandfather being killed is a huge catalyst for Zhao Yao's future path. It's just always a pet peeve of mine that the writers are too lazy to figure something else out to be the catalyst. Grandfather was an awesome character and killing him off further down the line after viewers fell in love with him would have a bigger impact. Also, the editing of the fight to help with low budgets definitely showed here. Especially the rooftop fighting. Yikes! Still cool, but yikes. They were saving their budget for that phoenix. The writers decision to make the "good sects" the true villains is brilliant. Zhao Yao believed Luo Ming Xuan's words and teaching, but she could clearly see he was a hypocrite and not afraid to tell him. The chilling part is that Luo Ming Xuan could not even for a moment see that. His own words had no power over the idea he already had. Zhao Yao is right! How many other poor souls were killed just because they might to evil. Minority Report anyone? The whole montage of Zhao Yao becoming a badass of her own sect was cool. Cool enough to make up for the fact that we don't get to see her rise to power!! Not to mention that she sealed Ming Xuan!! What!! You go girl. She's a women you don't cross and her sect doesn't need to be labeled. They help justice and take in those that the "good sects" have wronged. Though it was a bit of a twist to see her stealing those nom-noms from that poor kid. It's interesting seeing all those people just run when the Zhao Yao I know wouldn't hurt innocents. What I didn't like about this episode is that Mo Qing suddenly gaurds the gates to Zhao Yao's territory. I mean when did he get any skills to guard? Hello! Zhao Yao is my main lead, but Mo Qing is also a lead! It's sad though that they basically don't have any contact after that. I was hoping friendship at least. I'm happy there isn't any romance yet. Though who knows. Maybe they'll show that they were friends and how Mo Qing become a fighter or something. I just don't like it when think aren't linear. I'm tired of flashbacks for stories. Unless it serves a true purpose of surprising the characters and the viewers it's just lazy writing. I'm looking forward to more of this drama anyway.Despite flaws The Legends really packs an emotional punch. Luo Ming Xuan betrayal of Zhao Yao was so swift and absolute it was painful!! I felt with her and I was despising the "hypocrite" right with her. Right and wrong is never clear cut and the good guys are probably more villainous then the bad guys.

5.0/10 - Rewatch that info dump! It's a lot to cover!

That was one heck of an info dump!! Yikes! Though I'm glad for it and I appreciate that at least an info dump was done so viewers have a clear starting point. I have a feeling many will need to watch that more than once! Phew! That was fast. (Random thing, but that girl is so bored she'd take a mosquito bite? Girl you need my blood. You won't have that problem. They can find me for miles.) So how was Lu Zhao Yao's mom and dad able to leave? Plus, everyone else? They all didn't just die? Not to mention why did her grandfather not take down that seal on the mountain? He lied to her and now they're still destined to stay there? Not to mention it sounds like the outside world dislikes her clan. So does that mean they have ties to the Demon King since they promised to keep the son in? But it felt like that was wrong and that the story is saying something else. I'm a gonna rewatch that prologue at the beginning. Bird romance! No really! Huh. I think the beautiful Golden Deity liked, likes her! How could he resist. She's a lovely lead!! Not to mention when he got back I think he was acting super rash about the Demon King's son. Hmmmm. It seems odd that the Golden Deity is just assuming that this son of the Demon King is evil. I mean from what we've been shown this son is really good. (Where did puppy go!!!?) So is he trying to get rid of this poor kid simply to let Zhao Yao be free? Also, the passage of time is getting super foggy. It seemed like a decent amount of time passed while Zhao Yao was taking care of Golden Deity. Yet, it was only a few days when his buddies came to get him. Is the passage of time different?Especially with all of Zhao Yao is training. The most important part, and use, of a montage is to show viewers that time has passed. Normally lots of time. All the training montage shows there's a passage of time there. It clearly showed the changing of seasons. I'm not liking this. Though I know other fantasy Wuxia have the passage of time is different in realms. So I wonder if the seal puts them outside of the mortal realms passage? I don't like it when the viewer is left to fill in blanks. What if this was my first fantasy Wuxia type of C-drama? You wouldn't have some of the basics of Chinese mythology or what's normal. So here I am getting all excited about Zhao Yao breaking out of the seal. Boom evil cliffhanger kicks in. BOOM! Epic ending credits OST! That song is awesome i must find it. Not to mention it made me watch the whole MV for it. This drama looks A-mazing! They've sucked me in! Despite it's rough start with the info on the world/realms and how the heirocracy and natural enemies are, AKA rough information giving I feel really intrigued. I'm gonna rewatch that info dump of a prologue for sure. That ending MV for the credits makes me want to full invest in this drama. Whole heartedly. Because the female lead is all kinds of awesome and it looks like she gets to stay all kinds of awesome during the show! Yeah!

3.0/10 - The rest of the setup.

It just feels like episode 1 got split into two. The shorter time doesn't feel like such a "time saver" or whatever when it just feels like one half then the other. You know? Anywho, I'll quit my random knit picking. The love triangle and confusion is setup. Si Tu Feng used Chen Qing Qing as his fake fiance to break up his dad's wedding. Interesting. What happened to Si Tu Feng's mom? Hmmmm. At least there's a dash of mystery. The estranged father and son. I'm very curious as to how it will all be revealed. There's the normal female character who is lusting after Si Tu Feng. Naturally his younger brother dreams of her. Enter Si Tu Feng's friend who meets the lovely lady in dressing room and helps with her zipper.Only Chen Qing Qing is both the apparently "rough" looking short haired version and the lovely zipper lady of long hair. It's hilarious. Though annoying that the men in white recognized the short hair version of her leading to her meet queue, but then she uses the same look again to walk past them at school. Lame. I had inconsistencies.I think this drama could very well be a great waste of time! Though the episodes I'm watching of atrocious subtitle timing and parts missing. It's a bit annoying. I'm wondering if it gets better subtitle wise and if the who will be worthing watching like that.Random note. Si Tu Feng's brother and best friend all look so much more dreamy then him! It's weird. Not to mention his dad!! MMMMMMMM, silver fox. It's hilarous because Go Princess Go really exploited his "funnier" looks with his dream face. So when his dad is like "who do you think gave you that face" I thought any of the other men shown look more like they got their face from him. No offense, I do love the actor who plays the ML.

3.0/10 - It's hard to believe this is so new.

It's clear I've become so spoiled by the high quality of C-dramas I've been watching. I really thought this drama was old because of the quality!! Ha-ha!So this is a huge surprise! I thought I was just getting a runaway bride comedy. Nope, it's extra magical! Not sure what to call the Female Lead at this point, so for now it's FL. We enter her life on the night before her wedding. She's looking at a book of her parents memories. Boom they visistor her and basiclly tell her to run away! Save herself! What cool parents. That leads to an episode of fun hijink! I like the idea of the FL at least already having a good friend that helped to impersonate her and give her a head start. Though FL blew that! I mean! She should have none a better exist! I love how she stole that motorcycle!!! Ha-ha!!The over topness of Accidentally in Love definitely fits their setup. So props. Though this is a really short setup episode and it's super sloppy. I hate episodes that start then flashback to lead up to the begining events. I feel like it wasted so much time here to make the first episode a bit more coherent. I'm curious! As the FL is pleasant and I love this over the top cray-cray! The ML. Hmmmm. I loved Guo Fiction in Go Princess Go! I just don't feel he's in it with Si Tu Feng. He doesn't have the idol swagger. Plus, he felt super out of it. I hate it. I know he can bring more, but it feels awful. Maybe it's jitters being the FL for the first time? (ML hubby to be was pretty hot! Holy cow! Too bad I'm rooting for team "True Love!"

7.0/10 - Heartbreaking.

It's so heart breaking! Kyoko wants to change. She's been working hard, but to change from such emotional damage is so hard. With every person who was supposed to lift her up and let her become stronger only beating her down. The glimpse of current day mom actually, uncaring, talking loud enough about how Kyoko is erased to Kyoko's younger sister is the cruelest thing. It also makes me wonder if when Kyoko stripped nude and walked out if it was recorded and shared. So it was a huge scandal that spread around as well. That would fit Hoshina. Truly I think he's an evil enough person to set something up so that Kyoko would be alienated and haunted her entire life. *shivers* I truly hope the writer explores the full history behind Kyoko and her mother. It doesn't have to be long, but something so that we know why her mother was that with her. With a extremely brief flashback it's already shown that Hoshina's father was his abuser and that's why he's twisted. Just one flash and we know that Hoshina was tormented. So instead of being a victim he became a tormentor. It's nice seeing that Kyoko tries and she has one true friend at least. Though that friend, Hotta, doesn't seem to fully understand the atrocities that happened to her. So maybe Kyoko doesn't have one true friend yet. Kyoko needs to be able to share this with someone. Since she can't trust people, I think a good psychiatrist is called for. The power of this episode is seeing how much Kyoko wants to change. She knows that she likes Yoshizaki. She's not sure how, but that she does and wants to grow/explore those feelings. Yoshizaki is slowly being drawn to Kyoko. I know that he's already very interested. (Which proves that other men would very easily like Kyoko.) The awful truth is watching Hoshina masterfully push Kyoko's buttons and play with her emotions. So when Kyoko thinks that she doesn't want Hoshina to take Ida home because he's EVIL and could hurt Ida, it's all the more clear that Hoshina is right. He's played her. Kyoko doesn't truly care about Ida's safety—though I'm sure it's there—the truth is she doesn't want Hoshina to give attention to any other women. I'm invested in Kyoko graduating from Hoshina, but at her current state I don't think she can. She need some real time between them. Right now I feel leaving her job would be the best choice, but I'd hate for him to steal that from her. Wow, I am so invested in how this plays out.

6.0/10 - Powerful female lead.

Now I got a few raised eyebrows when I add this to my PTW, and more surprise when I started it. Maybe it's when I talk about strong female leads all the time. The issue is I don't think people understand the reference to strong female lead. I mean a character who is well thought out and fleshed out. Who is true to her character. One that doesn't suddenly change because the writers decided they needed to tick off some tropes in the drama story box. So far Ogawa Kyoko is probably one of the most well fleshed out and thought out female leads I've watched in a while. We know who she is, how she thinks, and most importantly feels. I for one have intense empathy for her character. Though I understand that her personality is not for everyone, but that's the thing. Even if you could never be like Kyoko the power of storytelling is to turn someone you don't understand, and might actually dislike, into someone you can understand. Even feel for. Even if their personality is totally opposite from you or their choices scream "WRONG!" for you. You understand. What's more is that the male leads are much the same way. Kyoko understands Hoshina Ren. The monster from her past and the person that wants to possess and destroy her. Taking advantage of her personality. The flashbacks to their past and what he did to her is chilling. She didn't know him then and now she does. Hoshina Ren is the person she most wants to escape, and most desires. This is a psychological mess. Hoshina Ren knows how to take advantage of Kyoko's mental disorders. He knows how to make her desire him even as he hurts and ruins her. The new male lead is up front a better guy. But much as Hoshina Ren told Kyoko in a chilling flashback: "She doesn't really know him." So that echoes in my mind as Yoshizaki Kojirou slowly turns to liking Kyoko. We're getting glimpses of him. We know just a tad more about him. Such as he might have a past with someone he can't give up. While Kyoko just sees a person that is okay being himself and not caring. I honestly wonder if Hoshina Ren hunted down poor Kyoko to her work so that she couldn't escape him. She's trying, but Ren has a point. She's wearing the scarf and it's like a nose to me. Which aptly represents their relationship up to what I've seen. The setup and story being presented is powerful to me. I'm curious to see how Kyoko can affect change and to escape the monster preying on her mental disorder. I can see clearly that she should leave her job. Though it would be tragic as she clearly loves her work, it would be something that he takes again. Though she's not strong enough to take working with him like that. I'm curious to see what will happen and already completely invested.

1.0/10 - The urge to just hit the power button to stop this mess was strong.

Um. Errrrr. I know there's a awkward setup phase for dramas. This was just . . . I don't know. Cheesy campy. There's clearly a lot of setup and it's really all over the place. They want to show us how everyone is linked and rush to get us feeling. It's just so . . . horribly cheesy. Wow. This was . . . I'm speechless about how cheesy this is. I can't even properly put my thoughts together. At this episode I'm debating whether to even think about going for more episodes. Especially after the villain's little booty shake fest. That was embarrassing. The hilarity and humor of this episode was in its outrageous terribleness. Just Yikes! YIKES! Not to mention that they're saying that Zi Guang gets imprisoned for four years. By watching and learning he hones his body into a lethal weapon. (Come on I had to toss that in there, the dislocated shoulder bit.) The reality is air fighting and going though the motions of dismantling guns is different. Building the muscles up like that are different. Though at least they tried. Though trying seems like too strong a word. I will try another episode, but I'm not even sure if I can push to 4 at this rate. Let alone the 6 I've decided C-dramas need. Apparently I've been blessed by a great intro to C-dramas in the past. I thought Demon Girl was cheesy, but Age of Legend puts every cheesy drama I've seen to shame right now. It's bad. Though I have a feeling this might be a style choice. Like this is a style of comedy or something with C-dramas. Clearly it might not be fore me.

4.0/10 - At least I got a lovely ending. Still I'm greedy.

Well I called it in my episode review for 9. Foolish plot devices that wasted Yuri and Harumi's time. Not to mention mine. *sighs* Yes, there was a happy ending kiss and HEA. However, I am a very greedy consumer of stories. This episode ticked off almost all the boxes I have for a wasted ending. Many might be okay with it. However, the whole accident wasted important time, not to mention the time table. Just think of it. If Harumi would have walked him to the test. The news he paste came up faster. Then the ending of this episode (dramatic kiss and proposal) came in at the 15 minute mark. This would give us the wedding and some actual happy couple moments. Not to mention getting to see her parents and his accept it. Because if I really think about it the true romance is coming up. The weird adults entering their wonderfully weird romance. Isn't in sad. Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed Hajimete Koi wo Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi. For the most part. It just spend so much time on studying and denial.Because Harumi denies her feelings for Yuri. No matter what she said or the reasons. It was fear. Complete fear. Every time people kept talking about how she had moved on from failing her test I kept thinking she hadn't. She was trapped. Harumi was affraid to do anything but things involved with studying. Romance and love interests scared her because that meant she had to do new things. She did go out on a few limbs during the course of the show, but she really hunkered down this episode. Not to mention that Harumi really hurts and lets Yuri down. Simply because some people mentioned the confession of students to teacher. How it's mature for the teacher to understand and let them go. To pat them on the head and realize these kinds of things occur. Also, the side characters lost time. Masashi is just a tool to keep Yuri away and help Harumi mess up. Not to mention that he would have been perfectly happy to wait FOREVER for Harumi's answer to his proposal. Masashi gets no development in the end or growth. I had hoped for a bigger Masashi and Mo-mo ending. I was happy with Eto Mika and Kisa (I think that's his name, the quiet one that rarely spoke) were heavily hinted to start a romance. Though wasted time means we didn't get a pick further down the line for them either. The most important part is that Miwa and Tsukasa had an engagement party. Though didn't the white dress mean married? It was so sweet. They learned to dance together and were clearly happy. They were a couple, and people, that others rolled their eyes and said were crazy. They didn't waste any time. Even with crazy lies and misunderstanding. They were the ones with the best romance the entire drama. So I suppose that does help make up for Yuri's and Harumi's disappointing rush of an ending. The ironic thing is that Harumi was weird and Yuri was. This drama was a drama of weird couples finding each other. Yamashita's wife always asking for a divorce then wanting him back. Then when she gets the divorce she wants him back, then when he's supposed to marry her again she's making him work for it. Yamashita seems happy in the end. Miwa and Tsukasa, the best couple in this drama. Then Harumi and Yuri. Finally Harumi and her mom resolve things. Really I didn't understand how they could have dragged it out so long. In the end her mom wants her not to marry someone for Todai. Ha-ha. The dramatic ending was sweet. We get our HEA! I've rambled on and on. So I will say I did appreciate the Harumi like ending. She realizes that Yuri truly likes her. That her feeble attempts to hide behind her age and other practical adult things was stupid. The best part for me is she finally decides, when her fear is cast aside, that she doesn't want to waste any more time. She wants to marry him ASAP! That was brilliant!! Heck! I might have loved her quizzing him about begin with her more than the final kiss! So I will give mad props to that whole setup. They did a good job there. I'm a picking last episode viewer. *shrugs* Also, I realize how badly I want to see them as weird adults openly in love. It still is a wonderful HEA.
