I don’t agree with you about the highlights. Everything could have been better including his relationship with his friends if the screenwriter had written him as a soldier. All the coolish things he did seemed awkward to me since he was not a real one.

We could have seen his bond with his soldiers ,with his friends and his care for the local people but writer presented us a romantic man rather than a soldier man so his faults were not the result of his lacking scenes , they were the results of writer’s character development. It was normal that he failed and had a trauma because of his voluntary job.His ending also was result of his character so it was impossible that he had a family or children while he had a heavy heart.

He wasn’t even in his first time and he never was. Man was not a real soldier. It was ridiculous that he was in front lines or in a conflict. His behaviours caused Captain’s death. He left and when he came back with a trauma , he caused Ben’s death this time.

If he was mentally ill , it was wrong that he had this job in the first place btw. I can also add Saxin to this list. He didn’t have a good state of mind either when he joined the team which is also stupid move.

Still I can’t get over the fact that two good soldiers died because of an incapable volunteer lmao.

Man had a damn point about feeling guilty about them.

Tbh , I skipped high school girls’ parts and it was a nice drama. I like the school setting and bullying theme. It was successfully made. Boys in school made me laugh a lot.

I expected more action than comedy but I loved the story in general. My fav trio was NIS gang. Love setting was good but it was too exaggerated to include the teacher in action scenes.

Unbearable FL.
Too forgiving ML.
Third wheel 2ML.
Too much scenes for their past.

NOTE : I cannot stand the way writers handle “loyalty ” in this drama. ML is far beyond being loyal. He is too blind and too dumb for waiting for a materialistic person like FL for a long time.

Not for this drama but in general , as a woman who works a lot , I don’t like how Chinese writers portray “a successful woman” either.
Leaving everything except working , leaving the men because of being abroad , being illogical because of the pride doesn’t mean that you are a successful woman . When do they exactly stop being dramatize about it ? Is it really selling ?

What he supposed to do was not put all his trust into a spoiled brat who was obsessed a woman but he did and BDJ helped him. In the end , YDZ and him died.

I love every piece of thing about this drama including evil ones except Qian Luo girl. I didn’t like her acting either. There was no chemistry between Xiao Se and her. It was forced and unnecessary. She was like an extra every time Xiao Se appeared. I really love watching Sikong Chenfeng but he was also unbearable when she was around . I was almost dropping because of her but glad that I kept watching it.

It was a top notch story with the music , characters and massive good acting.

I cried hard for Ye Ding Zhe’s story. He was obsessed with Wen Jun and this obsession led to him a being evil. I can’t blame him for being like this after his losses. All of his pains came from the same source and he was damn right about getting revenge on them. I am not saying that it was right thing to do but I can understand how desperate he felt and didn’t want to experience that anymore.

My ranking list about the reasons why Ye Ding Zhe mad.

2 - Xiao Ruo Jin ( I really hate him)
3 - Wen Jun
4 - Xiao Ruo Feng / Lang Ya
5- Baili Dong Jun

Notes : I hate Yi Wen Jun &dumbass prince and I am glad that Dong Jun didn’t forgive her.

- I can’t forgive Ruo Feng because of his favoritism about his bro.He chose wrong person and the wrong path which led him to his own death.Glad that he found his karma in Blood of Youth and had to kill himself because of the person he chose like Ye Ding Zhe did.

- I am disappointed that Bali Dong Jun forgave Ruo Feng. He should have said more and did about that.

- Mengsha and his laugh was another level.

- Master Li needed more screen time. I really loved his relationship wlth his disciples especially with Dong Jun.

She is the smartest among them actually and yes she is better in every aspect than the FL herself. About the FL , she has many red flags apart from her PTSD situation. I hated that the way they portrayed her. The things she did were so fake that I felt nothing but cringe.

I watched LJ in “ You Are My Destiny” before and she really did a good work about dramatic scenes but I didn’t like her acting here. It was too pretentious and she always had same “white face ill girl” expression.

I am not used to watch that kind of fluffy stuff but this one was nice. The story was meh. FL was also average. I didn’t see anything new about her.Actress’s acting was so so. The pace was perfect until ep 16. It became too draggy for me after ML and FL became a couple.

ML was absolute green flag. FL was smirky but had a nice personality. No angst , no triangle and not even a bad character. There was also second couple and I loved their story. To sum up , it is ideal to be a comfort drama.

Special kudos to CZY btw. Omg he really nailed his character especially until ep 16. I don’t remember I have never laughed this before. This was my first time to watch him and I found this after I disappointed with TWOT. Glad that I chose his right project to watch him.

I won’t comment on acting but I really liked the story in general. The themes like friendship , school mentality , love and teacher student relationships were nice to watch.

I can’t say it is underrated but it really deserves more than 8 since an average drama gets 8 here.

Even though the story itself emphasizes that Ben and Saxin are brothers , delulu BL fans still dream that they have kinda different relationship lmao. I can’t blame actors for pretending or playing some tricks to promote their project because of the unnecessary hype about them but thinking that it is so called “brotherhood” or thinking that they are sincere about it is like living in another dimension. Respect for BL and BL fans but tbh , seeing implications which are far from the script and the reality makes me feel bored especially for this drama.

Another note : It is just unfair that imaginary bl delulu, boring romantic stuff and a crybaby FL get more attention than a brave , confident , hardworking nice female like Dr. Pei.

I can understand people having bias about actors and actress but it is really hilarious that people praise characters like this drama’s FL. whatever! Dr.Pei deserves better and I am gonna root for her even though I drop this。 Dr.Pei 加油 !

The story and acting were good but the OST was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard. Even though I watched this when I was in high school, I listen all songs even now. It makes me nostalgic and good.

I finished this one a while ago and I only liked FL. Writer pushed all of buttons and tried all possible scenarios like amnesia , betrayal etc. to give a nice story to the main cp but I didn’t like overall story. Nothing new but great acting by main actress.

She messed up in TWOT. I won’t watch any product she is in.

I have been waiting for this for a long time and I am planning to watch it when half of the episodes are released. I love watching Chinese xianxia dramas and I hope it doesn’t disappoint me like other tree drama.

I was there to heal my military drama side after TWOT failure and it served me very well. ML and FL had a mature relationship in adults’ world. It was said that FL was unbearable in comments but I found her brave , talent and hardworking doctor. Her duty scenes weren’t exaggerated except last part. Her behavior towards to ML was childish but bearable. It was a bit draggy after ep 30 but I really liked this drama. Still sobbing for Tian Yue’s death and it deserves more than 8.

Only thing that I dislike is FL’s ex boyfriend. Writers gave him too much credit.

For the romance , it works but for the military part is a mess. ML isn’t even a soldier. FL is called a brave reporter but she acts fool.

Thanks for your recommendation but no intention to watch again since it has been a long time🙏. I remember that it doesn’t have a good taste for me.
