Alright, the opening scenes. I had flashbacks to at least 3 recent BL's while watching these two get ready for work. Btw, boss guy is giving me Machida Keita in Cherry Magic ever since his profile shot in the opening segment, and now I can't unsee it. This is definitely not a complaint.
Well, well. This was actually one of the better episodes. These two couples apparently need to go to the amusement park more often. It was cute (awww, Asuka & Shu!), a little funny and emotional. For once Akira's pulling back made sense. Unfortunately you can't really mistranslate "lovey-dovey", but my god, Akira, in what world were you ever. Now, let's finish this with a happy ever after. We have all worked hard (especially Asuka, who's been carrying this show for two seasons) and deserve that much.
What a strong first episode. The themes are so dark, but they sucessfully mix in a little bit of comedy and a lot of wholesomeness. I'm certain, it'll become more emotional as the show progresses. I'm already liking the dynamic between Myung Joon and Roo Hee. Their chemistry is great, and the acting is solid. Poor loveable guy sure has his hands full and unwittingly signed up for the ride of his life.
Why are the episodes so short?! We're 17 episodes in, and I'm actually floored by, how the show has maintained this level of quality. There hasn't been a weak episode for me yet. The overall storyline is one of the most engaging and well-executed ones in any show/genre this year. I'm already sad, this will end so very soon. And Bong Seok. 🥺🫶🫶!
A reference to their kdrama Mama. Mom/son role in that. It’s actually a pretty good family kdrama. The premise…
Thank you for this comment. I've actually had Mama on my TWL for some time, but didn't realize both dramas share cast members. I know, what kind of show Mama is, so I haven't mustered up the energy/guts to start it yet, because I know, it'll break me. Some day.
I cannot believe, we've been dragging along Ma Tae Hwa for two seasons, when we could've had Dr. Frankenstein instead. I loved everything about that character. I'm down for a season 3.
So, who's the boy in the drawing, they keep showing us? A brother? A friend?
And what's with the coffee tumblers. I get, it's connected to the whole organization with "Gaetal" acting as the front, but what is the purpose? And why would Jihoon buy one like it's a limited edition action figure (or drugs) on the street in episode 1. And then there's the thing with Jihoon and the controlling grandma.
Anyway, there's been several times, where the police/cyber team appear kinda like newbies. When they first entered the professor's house. And then Joo Hyun chasing the delivery guy and dropping her one form of communication with her team. She's literally standing there looking at it on the floor for enough seconds to be able to go back, pick it up and still having a chance of catching up with the guy. You never go in without backup - and if you're alone, you do not continue without your only way to call for backup.
The way I'm suffering due to the one episode per week. 🥺
"In systematized amnesia, patients forget specific categories of information, such as all memories related to a location or a person. Causes: Past or recent trauma, abuse, accidents, extreme stress, war or a natural disaster, either witnessed or experienced."
You know, I could go for the obvious, really bad joke, but I'm going to be decent and just say: I learned something new.
Watching these episodes feels like a job at this point. I like these four guys, but the plot is simply not there. I can't recall having watched a show, where 20 minutes feel like 3 hours. I only have myself to blame. I need to learn how to drop shows.
I am kind of baffled at that scene. Are the girls crushing on Yoh or Segasaki??? Because damn Yoh looking so hella…
Their hormones didn't kick in until Segasaki arrived. And they said "he is...", not "they are". I was so thrown by it, I had to check the subbing on both Viki and Gaga. 😂 Maybe it's the usual introverted, "geeky" dude isn't hot, but confident, suit dude is. Nice try selling that one, when Yoh is ridiculously beautiful.
I thought the shorts and sneakers outfit was refreshing and cute, lol. xD
Everything came together for me, when he whipped out his skateboard later on. Now, I'm noticing it's mostly the way they all dress. Well, apart from Masaomi. 😄
Always here for and ready to support a good thriller, so I really hope this one will hold up. These first episodes have been very satisfying. Park Hae Jin reminds me of Namkoong Min ever since his role in "From Now On, Showtime!". I don't know, what it is - their visuals or vibe, but it works for me, whatever it is. Nice to see Seo Young Joo here too. He really stood out to me in "Beautiful World" and "Nobody Knows".
I mean... I gotta agree, with everything you said 😅Because evil mastermind or not, the guy just had some sort…
Oh, definitely! Loved his whole aura and that impassive, no f's given vibe from the getgo. Plus he was able to surprise Hogae, so I was already dreaming up a season 3 with him as a regular cast member. Too bad, really. Let's hope, he has an epic finale as the main baddie instead.
Seeing Masaomi express his inner world has only been a positive addition to the show. Just his quick change of facial expressions at the very beginning of episode 4 had me giggling. Dude created his own prison, and now we get to see him struggling in it. And what the hell was that outfit on Domoto? The shorts + the socks and sneakers? Masaomi definitely didn't get the memo on the dress code in that office. 😂🫶
Of course all the red flags were there, but I really wanted to ignore them, because I thought Han Se Jin was pretty cool, and I like the actor. Also, Myung Pil is really solid this season. He's had some very emotional scenes, carried so well by the actor. While I'm not here for the romance, the elevator scene with Hogae and Seol? I felt that.
I can't believe this season is almost over. It feels like, it just started. I still think, it overall leans a bit more uneven than the first season due to the introduction of many new characters and juggling multiple teams, but I'm liking several of these new characters a lot, and I'd be seated for another season. I hope we get it.
I'm so ready to be done with the Ma Tae Hwa storyline, though.
I haven't been this mesmerized by someone's lips since Ha Jong Woo in Happy Ending Romance. I can't believe those girls only started to swoon, once Mizuki arrived, when Yoh has been stitting there looking out of this world beautiful. And don't get me started on his voice.

The current rating is merited.
