The novel has many kiss scenes and I read somewhere there’s even a kissing Reuters of LLTG to be released at a suitable time. And like Mariah Jones mentioned, he did kiss in a movie before.

I read it will be showing in a netflix Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, India n Nigeria. Anywhere that was missed out? They should just show it worldwide

The portrayal of the crown prince here reminds me so much of the crown prince in Ming dynasty, 2019, - a kindly person, scolded by his father the emperor , mocked by his brothers and protected by his wife and son . The crown princess too was very protective of him in that show. However I’m only on episode 7 so I can’t really say much about Xu Kai’s character other than he’s a bit cheeky. And I definitely like Wu Jinyan better here than in Yanxi palace, her character here seems to be kinder and less scheming, but then almost everyone schemes in Yanxi Palace. I should read up real Ming dynasty history after this, really curious how Zhu Zhanji n his family was like in real life.

This reminded me of an interview with Liu Yuning sometime ago when they asked him if there would be a sequel for the Long Ballad. He said no but suggested that we could alternatively watche the Legend of Anle and Love Like the Galaxy instead. While they r not sequels we would get to see good action from the same main leads again - but we would need to recalibrate our pairings 😅

Well, the developing script info I also got from Cdrama addict recently.

They are killing us… with sugar overdose.

They are developing the script for season 2, but likely it will take some years before they shoot S2, and then may not have some of the original cast. 🥺

Ya, Our Times, 🥺 will there really be a season 2? I read previously they said there will be and even released a trailer but then again there is another group saying there won’t be since the viewership was not that high.

I hope and also think they will tie up some loose ends in the drama. There are quite a few cases like the Psychologist when the ending seems incomplete the douban and even MDL scores get marked down. (Although Psychologist has a few more episodes coming soon maybe many didn’t know that) So I believe the producers will try to avoid that.

Are you referring to no wedding scene in the novel? I hope they will create one in the drama - after all she has been engaged n the engagements broken off before due to circumstances beyond her control, a wedding would make it final.

I didn’t understand that bit about shooting only 40 episodes. Did they say they completed the whole novel or is there going to be another season 2? Which I hope not bcos it may take forever.
