I really like this show and I don't even completely understand why, I can usually pinpoint why I enjoy a drama, but in this case, I come out of every episode having thoroughly enjoyed it, but I can't explicitly justify it, maybe it's that although the plot is nothing new, the combination of great acting and chemistry, with well written characters that are just good people living their lives, as well as the fact that it's melodramatic on paper but not really in execution, it's quite muted and mellow, none of the usual theatrics that come with this sort of story are present so far.
I honestly don't find this show boring at all, sure it's slow but it's also deliberate and warm and relaxing and just a beautiful exploration of these character's lives and relationships, I can't wait to see where it goes.
I don't know how this drama will turn out but I trust that the female lead will be great, lee dae hee generally picks fantastic roles, her characters although supporting are always so complex and badass.

omg, I remember that, it was awful but the show turned out to be pretty good, also, she's still reeling from her best friend's death do they really need to kill the only other person that seems to love.

Maybe, I wish they'd keep him alive but I don't think that's happening, I honestly got attatched to him so quickly, he's been neglected and abused his whole life for him to die like that is just so freaking sad.

Since the moment he came on screen I thought he was going to die, but then I saw that he was a main character and was like thank god, then again in ep3's preview young jin says to someone "you think eun ho's death is a crime" or something?? So he's actually dead???
Poor freaking im joo hwan why does he keeping getting these second lead roles opposite frankly less capable actors, he deserves so much better solely based on his talent.
This show is truly brilliant, I've seen 300 dramas and more than 300 western shows but nothing comes close to the sheer scope and grandeur of six flying the dragons, 50 hours and barely a mistep, it wasn't just the plot or the characters or the examination of moral dilemmas or the development of the relationships and their complexity, it was everything, not to even mention the acting and the technical aspects which were stellar in everyway from the music to the action and the cinematography , all this while managing to give us no less than four complicated female characters that drive the narrative in important ways, it's been four years and I'm still in awe of the feat that is this show in all its glory. What a goddamn masterpiece.
The first time I thought her the qi heng were cute but now I see that they would have never worked while he isn't a bad person he grew up getting every single thing he wanted and never had to fend for himself he was never actually put in a position to show his true worth, and eventually when he did with minglan he wasn't up to it, but for our two leads they've been fighting for their lives since they were basically kids, they know how it works in real life and are truthfully much smarter than him and better matched in so many way, QH would have never understood her or protected her in the right way,he probably would only make it worse and consequently make her life miserable. I'm so glad we get a drama where it's not just I love you because the plot needs me to but it's a union that makes sense and is built to last.
Kind of but not really at the same time. I forget around what ep, but it is super late into the drama, that she…
Thank you for the reply,I wanted her to clean his ears because honestly if it wasn't for his willful stupidity and blindness her mother would probably still be alive and like her grandma keeps saying she doesn't know if he doesn't see what the concubine is like or deep down he knows and is just ignoring it.
The 3rd episode was so fucking funny, it's so rare that I think that about a kdrama , their humour is mainly slapstick and cringe, but this was hilarious.
The main leads are fantastic together, they have this electrifying chemistry and the way he looks at her is just... But it's beyond that, they seem to truly understand each other and provide just what the other needs, he's been alone for most his life it seems, because he doesn't want to put the burden of his illness on a partner but she came right in and assumed it effortlessly and without hesitation. As for SY, he's the person that pulled her out of the well of misery she's been in since her father, and he's pretty much the only one that gets what she went through at least on some level. Also in situations like this you'd worry about the power imbalance since he's her boss but did you see the way she grabbed him by the arm, ordered him to sit down and examined him, I'm not worried anymore.
This drama felt too short and too long at the same time, too short because even in a plot driven show your characters need to be explored and developped and not just there to make illogical out of the blue decisions, and too long because depite this being monte cristo's revenge , we spend so much time focusing on the other characters and their spouses which I wanted to see more of him, a lot more. Also if your show is purely plot driven, at least make sure that plot is tightly woven, there were so many things that made no sense, like the fact that they bought he financed those terrorists in the first place, with what money could he have possibly done so, the guy is a fisherman, and how the detective and the realtor guy's wife happened to be lovers before and had a baby together and the guy that wanted to sell dan's mother's land happened to have gone to prison with those two lovers child, that's two coincidences too many, and some characters made these insane decisions that had zero logic, like miri's fiance, a dude tells you to kill someone and you're like yes in five seconds??? I know people are greedy vicious creatures, but come on, these discrepancies for that sake of the plot were completely avoidable; also the detective's wife just happens to be a murdering psycho, mmmmkay, and the mother meets the son without knowing he's hers and falls in love with him in 2 days.Basically there were just too many things added to facilitate the plot but were ultimately unfounded and irrational. As for what I did enjoy, the music was fantastic and the acting was great especially the lead actor.

Hi, I went back all the way through the viki comments and couldn't find these descriptions, could you give us a link, or if they're just written in a comment, the user's name and the date of the comment, I'm curious, thanks.
this show is heading same as the ending of something in the rain. which is really bad for the last 3 or 4 episode.…
God ,I hope not, sitr turned really ugly at the end, it would a shame if such a good show went the same route, but they have six eps left to fill so that's probably going to happen, unless they bring back EH's mom and that's a plot point, or they give us the parental dissaproval for a couple of eps and then in the last 4 eps they focus on how JH and JI are going to build their lives together and JI's sister's story, although that's probably wishful thinking.
I've seen a few comments lately on different platforms about how Morgan is shady, and at first I was what? But now I'm like hmm, I don't think he is , but a lot of people seem to ? Idk you never know.
As for what I did enjoy, the music was fantastic and the acting was great especially the lead actor.
