This is a 90% campy rom com, heavy on the overacting and exaggerated dubbing. The actors are adorable. The plot is simple and full of little pinholes that let in more light hearted angst than actual moral. It's easy to see that this is adapted from a manga style teen romance story. This is fun to watch, as long as you don't take any part of it seriously or try to understand it. Luckily, the episodes are short.
This is a show that's meant to be fun and mindlessly entertaining. The first half of the series is silly and crazy with every cliché in the book. You meet the seven main characters and figure out their flaws immediately. In the middle, the twist sneaks in and leaves that confused after thought in your brain as it slowly explains itself and the introduction of an antagonist. By the end of the show, the seven main characters have all developed enough to justify the ending though. It's all feel good cuteness and baked breads in the end, as is expected of sweet fluff. Don't look for drama or deep thoughts in this one. Enjoy the handsome actors, cute dance number and interesting wardrobe choices.
Can someone please help me understand the ending, starting from the 34:30 mark???
Seriously. I feel like I missed several episodes between the 30 minute point and the last five minutes of the last episode. I've heard about rushed endings, but this is ridiculous. TBH I could do with more scenes of a topless Zhao Yi Qin and Liu Yan Cheng. I also want to know what happens with the other couples. I'm getting a headache...
I want to see this become a proper series; even if it's only ten 30 minute episodes. The characters are fun and engaging. The story has grown into something with potential.
The cast is unnecessarily handsome in multiple ways, which is the number one reason I'm okay with waiting for episodes of this show. So far, it reminds me of Coffee Prince sans the gender misidentification. I am so here for the attractive cast. Just putting that out there. 🥰
I felt like making Dr.Peer die was so unnecessary. also, I think the chemistry between the two main leads might…
Having the doctor die with no one to continue his work is majestically stupid. I hated that part and nearly stopped watching it. Someone should have called his patients; especially the one with a bionic heart. FFS!
they ran out of clothing budget..her clothes are terrible
I agree. ML1 wears Dior and Loewe. ML2 wears Palm Angels and ADLV. ML3 wears Dior. FL2 wears PRADA. FL3 wears Coco Chanel. I think Gu mama wears Chanel. Ex gf wears YSL. I saw Balenciaga floating around on someone once. FL1 wears craptastic mom jeans and oversized thrift store clothes. We get it. She's poor., but dang...
It's taken me a while to get around to this one. I added and removed it from my watch list a few times in the last couple years. The synopsis doesn't seem like something I'd watch. However, after a few recommendations for it, I'm starting at least one episode tonight.
I grew up watching Japanese dramas, but have no idea about modern ones. I enjoy them still, but not willing to drudge through all lists out there. Any recommendations for rom-coms from y'all? TIA ♥
