I'm now done watching the whole series. For me it was kinda incomplete.. They just graduated at the end and didn't give any more information on both the leads parents. How they proved to their parents that they made the right choice of choosing sculpture. And how their parents accepted their choice. They forgot about that entirely.

It's a cute drama but could have had 4 more episodes so it would have ended feeling completed.

It wasn't sudden with Sicheng. When Ling Wei was approaching him again to make up he was already rolling his eyes after their conversation.

I think he pretends to be sweet and helpful to Ling Wei just to get on her good side but backstabs her or something. I'm only up to ep 22 so I'm unsure about the rest.

Also I think the reason why he hates Qin Shen is you know... Jealousy and insecurities that Qin Shen is better than him.

Second ML wasn't any better to be honest especially at the beginning. I think ML was kinda defensive like that because 2nd ML has touchy tendencies and of course the advantage of being "childhood sweethearts".

What irks me the most is the female antagonist. She's so delulu to the point that I'd slap the screen for her.

Really? I thought it would be awkward to watch because of the age difference. Because my Mom had my eldest brother at 20 so I thought that would be awkward

It was a great drama. I dunno if I can watch this with my parents tho...

Yes. That was what I was expecting when they got back together. Though I didn't drop the show completely, I did skipped some parts when I was uncomfortable.

True. I don't like endings that end with a wedding scene. Because what happens with life after? It's not always happy. But they gave us a glimpse that this time they have communication way better than before.

It depends. Some dramas have excessive dubbing which I can't get used to.. So I tend to skip the overall drama. Also when I get used to the actors real voice in a drama then I watch another drama of his in dub, I would skip it too because I already got used to the real voice. Example is Song Wei Long in Find Yourself and Go Ahead then he was suddenly dubbed in Flower Reborn which I ended up dropping.
There are pretty decent dub like The Romance and Tiger and Rose and plenty others. Hahaha

The first time I watched her was in Anohana LA I think 5 years ago. She was pretty cute there though kinda stiff but she was still young soI Iet it go. Then I saw her again in her movie My Teacher, My Love... I didn't like her acting there at all and another one which I can't remember... She regained my trust after watching her in Watashitachi wa Doka Shiteiru, there were stiff parts but she was better doing mature looking roles. She also got a looooot prettier. I love her.

I do agree that FL is too aggressive she could be jailed for being that violent towards others. But I would still watch it because this is a drama and not real lol.

But the main theme is still about food. They forgot about that. Suddenly, Gu Sheng Nan isn't a hardworking Chef.

I don't hate the drama or casts but I'm disappointed because I came for the dishes lol

The first few episodes were definitely Dating in the Kitchen then it transitioned into Dating in the Office. They got lost in track lol

I barely get uncomfortable with age gaps and I think this is the first time I felt weird.. I already watched Goblin, Encounter, Something in the Rain, Find Yourself and others but didn't get bothered because somehow the character's emotional capacity from the drama mentioned were leveled.. Unlike here in Dating in the Kitchen, it clearly showed that they have gap not just the age but also the mentality and experience.. Lu Jin was too mature already for the kinda childish Gu Sheng Nan..


I really like Zhao Lusi so I watched the drama, I also find the guy handsome after watching but I skipped scenes where they have skinship because I'm too scared to watch. They were funny together but I just can't watched the romance.

From what I remember her bestfriend kept offering her to stay with her at the mansion or big house but FL denied because it was too generous of an offer. Both had their own short comings on their own way but being a ML jerk doesn't need to be normalized in C-Drama and blame the FL because honestly she had her own situation.

that's why I said I finished it because of the chemistry not because of the story and characters. Why can a man be a jerk though but a woman cannot sacrifice her pride for shelter.

I know it's late but this is one of the Japanese movies I didn't cringe because of the stiff facial expressions specially when they are talking.

I just hope Main Leads would reconsider playing their roles. It's too iconic to be played by other actors :(
