Not K-drama but Skate into Love is one of the best sports dramas I've watched. Every character had their own slumps they needed to overcome. And also how one can be naturally talented/genius and one that is talented through extreme hard work. They tackled how a genius can also have a slump, how an athlete overcomes an injury and what happens to those who can't compete on the top.
Do I need to watch One and Only before watching this? I'm not a fan of historical drama and I heard it also has a sad ending so I don't know if I can watch the prequel :(
I'm so enjoying this drama as it fills the empty void that "Crush" left behind. I also love that the ml & fl seem…
I also didn't know what to do when I finished Crush. It really left a longing feeling for me. I wanted to re watch the drama again because of the void feeling you mentioned but I'm glad I started to watch Sweet Teeth.
In my country it's also more common to have standalone dental clinics than have it in a big hospitals.
I guess it depends on what the focus is about, and the target age group of viewers
1. Detective/Crime - Male > Female 2. Romcom/Romance Drama - Male < Female 3. Medical Drama - Male > Female
Popular genres like romcom usually have female antagonists. And they are mostly the ones who have an annoying character set-up. Too clingy etc etc. Specially when the actor/actress performs to be too "natural" to be acting. Teens and younger adults often forget that they are just actors acting the character they were supposed to. So they go to social media and express their annoyance to the actors/actress.
If you watch detective drama talking about mrder or psychos (usual target age group is 15+ above) you as a viewer just watch it then move on since you can't really relate to what happened on personal level so you don't bring it to your personal life. You just know that the actor is acting. Even when they are good actors. The same with medical dramas. The antagonists in this genre are usually smart so how can you be annoyed too? They even make some serial killers rich and hot.
I believe that the quantity of villains are kinda equal. It's just that sometimes there is a poor character writing and development. Or popular dramas usually have an annoying female antagonist. If you know what I mean lol
I got what Wei Hao said to Nian Qin at the first but I never expected that it wasn't a joke. Nobody really bothered to tell Nian Qin except for Wei Hao.
But in the novel, he remained blind and his behavior was like that too. I attribute it to his change in career…
In the novel I guess he really had a big breakdown. After all he only got his own back after separating with Wu Yan. I have no idea since I haven't read the novel. In the drama series, it could be pressure since his whole world flipped upside down. He had to improve himself all of a sudden. Like learning how to read/write etc etc. I'm guessing at this point. Lol
As much as I would like to think that Nian Qin was helping Wu Yan to recover, I still can't wrap my head around…
I mean, he was getting along well with the other kids at the special education school. And I don't think the school are limited to blind children only, there could be students with medical conditions too like him. So I really wondered why that boy who lived with them for a while was treated like that by Nian Qin. Or did Nian Qin really think the boy was a threat?
I kinda understand now after re-watching why Nian Qin changed.
Wu Yan said in the first half that she's okay with him visually impaired because he can stay pure and not see bad things (something like that). But after he got his eyes done that was when he was exposed to how the media is romantically okay with the domineering ceo trope. (I realized when he was looking for trending romantic movies and was suggested by his secretary).

I wish they can remake the last quarter.
