It's much better than expected. The most important thing is that its events don't loop through corporate hell, it's actually balanced. I wish there was more attention and development to the side stories. You may think the young couple are the main focus but that's only for a short while before switching to the older cast. There was a slow period of about 20 episodes in the middle where things were very slow, they could've used it to build the characters more. I thought the female lead would have a bigger role and a better story of her relationship with her mother but that was cut short along the way. At least the drama didn't have weird elongated triangles. Nonetheless, the drama was decent enough with a good cast.
Goddammit! It's the usual revenge in a business setting but this time they are wearing white coats because they are in a hospital. How innovative! I was expecting the female lead to become a doctor for her revenge like they usually do in these time-skips revenge dramas but all you'll get 2-3 medical scenes at most and that's it. The very first "fatal" mistake the drama committed was the blatant incompetence of the justice system. Whenever you see that you know immediately how the rest will carry on. This was a weak revenge drama, everything was facilitated for the female lead to execute her revenge. She didn't put the effort to take revenge. The drama also had some serious pointless drag for the last 15 episodes. Even with that stretch they couldn't slap a better ending. Go Se Won doesn't have what it takes to be a male lead, maybe if he was a 2nd male lead would be better. I don't like his face anyway. Poor Ji Hoon was treated like a bag of dirt throughout the whole thing. Couldn't they give him any purpose other than being a dimwit?
It's unbelievable how insufferable and stupid these characters are. The writer of the show does the laziest trick to prolong the series by re-skinning the exact set of events every 15 episodes or so.
I'm thinking of watching from episode 8 onwards. It sounds like the first 7 episodes are them trying to get a…
Well, if you're in a hurry, they are mostly about the build up leading up to the divorce. Watch at least a few of them to get familiarized with the characters first.
One of the most boring love squares ever! There was no need to even have it. It would have been infinitely better to spend the time in developing each couple individually since Bo Ra & Dae Ro were the weakest part in the drama. Speaking of which, you can't even count Bo Ra & Dae Ro as main characters, they are more like support characters throughout the entire run. Meanwhile Ah Ri and Joon Soo are the real leads. Speaking of characters, the adults' story was dull and uneventful. The same thing can be said about the other side stories. The drama just feels too empty. Too much time was wasted on Ah Ri's life that there wasn't any room for any development elsewhere. I wanted to see real development between the step sisters. Anyway, the drama had a decent start but there are just too many shortcomings.
The drama is purely manufactured to trigger the viewers. I promise you it will leave you utterly frustrated at the end. They can commit every crime imaginable under the sun and ruin lives for 30+ years but all of it will be completely forgiven, forgotten and pretend like nothing happened with a big jolly smile at the end. There was 0 justice or redemption!!!
Suk Bin's mother wasn't punished enough for being less than a subhuman junky nor did Suk Bin himself. Both the female lead and her mother were absolute doormat characters, letting everyone have their way with them and completely surrender passively without even attempting to bite back. Completely infuriating to watch this behavior for 50 episodes. Even at the moment of the reveals if it weren't for the other characters acting on their behalf nothing would have been accomplished. Many characters were introduced but were never done anything with or even appear more than few times like Suk Bin's sister. The leads relationship had a decent attention and screen time in the first half but they were completely neglected in the second half. The drama also needed more characters and stories. The only independent side story was the FL's uncle which sucked anyway. It's safe to assume that the writing was very problematic when it comes to its characters.
It seems to be the writer completely forgot about the pink notebook.
Gu Hye Seon got a real talent in packing up projects that are guaranteed to flop or disappoint. This is a musical that failed in the music department. A bit of music at the beginning and at the end while the rest was just drama. We didn't even get to see the musical they were preparing for!! Anyway, it's a big flop.
This is back then when law dramas started to gain attraction. The brothers' love triangle was very out of place. Strange love square as well. Romance didn't get anywhere. Should have kept law focused only.
Well, this one is better than the spinoff that's for sure. Yet, just like the spinoff it's unnecessarily long. Even if it was 16 episodes it would still be long, maybe cut it down to 12-14 would be fine. The story is fine but it needed better character development than whatever this was. The synopsis made it seem like the husband cheated but it's more like a slight emotional cheating.
The drama ended up lacking "style", Kim Hye Soo's massive wardrobe doesn't count. This is Kim Hye Soo's and Lee Ji Ah's worst drama for sure. Editor Park needed to be given a better attention and more focus since she is the main female lead. There is one particular soundtrack I think was reused partially in Hyena (2020) which is interesting.
The most boring advertisement out there. You would expect them to be "clever/creative" for such a topic but it's just a generic office setting. Also, dull comedy and dry romance.
The obvious highlight of this drama is Ji Sung the man is just too good! The drama was planned to be 16 episodes but then got an extension of extra 2 episodes which made the last chunk of episodes just too messy. The writer didn't know in what direction to take and how to rearrange the events accordingly. The story and its pace were problematic, it's pretty monotonous after the cast was introduced in the first 2 episodes. Also, meh ending.
It seems to be the writer completely forgot about the pink notebook.
