On A Wife’s Credentials Dec 15, 2022
The drama's biggest flaw is that it lacked focus. Weak chemistry between FL and both men. There were some awkward pauses in dialogue and editing. Scenes and transitions were disjointed often. The writing was too loose, especially the infidelity plot which lacked complexity and nuances to be more "human". Sometimes it felt like watching an indie movie written by college students. The drama desperately needed a better build up, the infidelity happened way too early. The same thing can be said about production which often it felt off, although it didn't seem like a "lower" budget drama at first glance. It was really awful how the sound was peaking every time a character shouted.
Go watch "Valid Love (2014)" similar topic but infinitely better.

The comedy felt forced sometimes and took away from some serious/casual moments. About 2/3 of the jokes were lame, bland and weren't even suppose to be "jokes" but the background music/sound effects indicated otherwise. At least it was shot nice and the cast was decent.

Personally, it was a little rough to get through because I really don't like "Zo In Sung" as an actor. Tedious, annoying and predictable love triangle. The moment the "accident" happened, I knew the drama was a goner and I was 100% right. Ngl a bit annoyed that it went on for 20 episodes just to get this conclusion, didn't like the finale pairing either. The female lead classifies amongst the unlikable female leads in Kdrama world. Anyway, Go Hyun Jung & Ji Jin Hee deserve to be in better projects.

One of the worst "old" kdramas, it went full old melo style which kdrama thought it was cool and trendy to do at the time. Other than the nostalgic feel, this drama is a failure and got nothing going on for it. Not recommended! At least you get to see the younger version of some familiar faces.

The worst kimchi related drama. They made kimchi sound absolutely dull and boring. In addition, bad romance and mystery. The human drama elements were passable at best. The cast didn't appeal to me nor did their individual stories.

Oh god! It's an amnesia drama, the most intense kind too. It feels like the humans who worked on this dram come from an alternate reality or a parallel universe. This drama by far had the highest concentration of "buffoonery" in any makjang out there. Zero chill, ridiculous over the top and a "bruh moment" every other scene. All in all, not in a good way because this is the only thing the drama had going on for it, that is to throw as much makjang elements as fast as possible. The writer/director were speed running any% no-loot the human brain tolerance to "bullshit receptivity". Anyway, wouldn't recommend.

On A Thousand Kisses Dec 14, 2022
A Thousand Kisses? I don't recall more than 2. Right from the very beginning we were introduced to her serial cheater husband who was caught multiple times and was forgiven every time. That was a big telltale sign for how the drama was going to be, and it turned out to be exactly so. In short, this is a 50 episodes kdrama stretched to oblivion about extremely improbable probabilities.

The last 20 episodes weren't even about the main leads, it's like they cut them out and got back to them on the last episode. The female lead "Woo Joo Young" ended up having the least amount of screen-time because of that. What were the director and the writer thinking?! Ji Hyun Woo shouldn't accept such "destined to fail" projects.

On Be My Dream Family Dec 13, 2022
The tamest family drama I've ever seen. It's borderline too mundane. There's almost no conflict at all and even if there was one, it's very light and doesn't last longer than few episodes. Everyone is happy, everyone got a relationship/romance/kids/happy-ever-after/career. It can get too superficial with its events. Not necessarily a criticism but it's too ordinary. You would only stick around with it to watch the relationships develop with the younger cast. For this type of drama, I expected more baby making at the end.

One more thing I found strange about the sound design is how muffled and subdued the sound is. You would hear the drop of a needle. Any background noise is very restrictive. It feels there's a switch that mute and un-mute the sound when a character speaks and stop. It's just something I kept noticing. The sound is probably fine for you, I'm just complaining too much.

This was awful! Once it finished I double checked if I was missing any more episodes beyond 122 because the drama just ended? What! I read that the drama was meant to be 120 eps so they probably went over budget. Don't expect anything from this drama, and I mean absolutely nothing! Weirdly enough, the antagonist Hwa Kyung is treated like a main character and got 75% of the screen-time to herself, meanwhile the main female lead Woo Jung treated less of than a support character.

On Teacher Oh Soon Nam Dec 12, 2022
This drama got one of the worst 1st episodes. I really didn't like the cast's performance. Extremely superficial and full of amateurs. It's impressive how 99% of similar drama templates turn any setting into a business setting regardless of whatever the beginning was, and this drama is no exception. You would think the setting would be in this "school" since the drama advertised FL as a teacher at a traditional Korean school and also the poster/synopsis seems like it but no! After few episodes, everything become about business with the usual cringe shenanigans in every similar setting where they fight/sabotage/expose each other till the end. The "twin" was seriously cringe, unbearable! How many were killed? Simply, there wasn't enough justice anyway. Don't watch!

It got a unique vibe, it's not even similar to the writer's and the director's previous projects. The editing, pacing, dialogue exchange, transitions and the type of events are all unusual, in a good way. Especially when it comes to Yeong Hyun & Sung Ki which I enjoyed the most. I wanted something more for So Yeong, since she is a main character, she should have had a bigger impact. It's okay for the son to have to have a child without a mother but god forbid if the daughter had a child without a father. Classic Korea! There were a lot of shortcomings and misses but the drama is still a decent watch for a family drama.

Prepare to be utterly frustrated!! The whole terminal illness thing in the last 10 episodes was the last straw, the drama turned to unsalvageable fuming garbage. Terminal illness in this context is the biggest telltale sign of incompetent writing. All couples/relationships in the drama were bad, not much development and no meaningful resolution. The drama did a really poor job laying out the events, everyone's "problem" was introduce at the same time to a point there was no space for most characters to react to these events, especially the father. How would give the family a space to react if, your son cheated, your daughter pregnant, your other daughter divorce, problems with business. Too much clutter.

There's one singular take away from this drama, the leads got together in real life.

Very light family drama. No heavy long conflicts, no bad blood, no soap opera cliche and no evil characters lingering around for too long. It doesn't do anything interesting/special nor it is offensive. Generic smooth sailing family drama. The last 40 episodes felt like an extreme stretch. I wanted the leads' relationship to have a stronger presence, it was a bit on the weaker and tamer side. I also wanted a slightly better ending overall.

The first 5 minutes was just a big trailer for the entire show. They don't waste a single second and you are immediately thrown in the middle of the melodrama. The drama felt like watching random scenes from "the book of melo". The editing is quit bad and illogical. It will take forever to point out every thing wrong with it but, long story short, it's shit. Only your great grandparents might find it interesting.

On High Kick Season 3 Dec 10, 2022
High kick was never good after season 1. This season specifically feels like a re-skin of the past 2 seasons. The jokes, cast archetypes, story, relationships, romances, conclusion and final moments all are similar to its predecessor. As we were approaching the last 2 episodes you could feel the writer itching his butt to throw a tragic ending like last season. I would say this season is similar to season 2 in terms of quality except the final few episodes from season 2 are absolutely the worst. If you want to just watch one of the seasons then go for season 1 and ignore the rest.

On High Kick Season 2 Dec 9, 2022
Keeping Lee Soon Jae from season 1 is a plus. Jin Ji Hee was a little shit lol. There was some recycled jokes from season 1. Like the investigation/detective work scenes or the son who doesn't study have a sudden awakening of smartness and many more. Fart jokes were better in season 1. The comedy is a bit stale. Season 1 was significantly better, I gave S1 7.5 but this one I'm giving it 5 reluctantly.

As we were approaching the last 15 minutes I was starring at my screen waiting for the laughter track to play but it never did. What kind of hard core drugs was the director snorting as he was making the last episode? Absolute mockery! The director was truly determined to ruin the drama in any shape or form before it ends. The last few episodes were a big telling for the director losing his sanity. Don't watch it, go watch season 1.

Title High Kick!
Great comedy full of laughs and good time. Even though it's mid 2000s but the comedy still holds up to date. I wish there was a few more characters for some more variations. I was seriously fed up with Lee Min Yong relationships, it's the weakest and the longest plot line in the drama. Choose this girl or the other I don't care anymore. Too bad Seo Min Jung doesn't act in more dramas or movies, I wanted to see more of her. This was Park Min Young first acting role which interesting to see. Don't watch the old copy online, get it from Amazon Prime the quality is pretty good there.

On Make a Woman Cry Dec 7, 2022
I was absolutely desperate for the female lead to get back to her old job of being a homicide detective because that's the only thing that would make this drama a little tiny bit interesting in the drama's setting. They completely shelved off the female lead in the last 10 episodes and put her on hold, instead they redirect the attention to a weird uninteresting cycle of irrelevant events to the main story. Which resulted in making the last 10 episodes feel like a huge drag.

How would a writer escape once they are cornered? Introduce "terminal illness". With it, everything start to change magically. It doesn't matter whatever development/character the drama built up because all of that is irrelevant once the terminal illness is present. LAZY! Don't even get me started on the FL's journey to "forgiveness", absolutely laughable. The dynamic with FL and her in-laws was a big oof moment that was never resolved.

First half was full of students and the FL was doing exactly as described in the synopsis, then in the second half there was non of that and it became melo only. The same thing can be said about some character, for example, Jin Hee who had heavy screen-time just to completely disappear and never to be seen in the second half. The last two episodes were super artificial. Character who never given any attention suddenly got some like Gyeong Ah.

I enjoyed watching Kim Jung Eun & Lee Tae Ran, they are one of my favorite underrated actresses. The drama was fine, I guess. Anyway, serviceable 4.5/10 .
