My god that was boring as fuck. Weak cast, no one stands out. Too long filled with redundant info dump. Uninteresting…
One last thing I wished they did is accusing Beom Jin publicly of killing Tae Ra. Even though he died, at least make him a suspect after Tae Ra alleged suicide.
My god that was boring as fuck. Weak cast, no one stands out. Too long filled with redundant info dump. Uninteresting characters, you get the generic bullies and the one sneaky psychopath. All that being said, the reveal at the end was satisfying after blueballing us for 16 episodes.
Despite seeing all the painful tags I ended up watching it. It's a light melodrama with a sad theme because Alzheimer is a bitch. This is the least offensive melodrama you are going to see, no tangled mess or nasty melodrama tropes. The 2nd FL is too damn nice and the ML's mother is the most understanding mother you are going to see in a melodrama. Although you might feel bored and things getting repetitive and predictable but Soo Ae will keep you watching.
Some scenes will kill you out of boredom while others are funny and entertaining. Some background music will make you feel like you are watching a cheap 10min short while other OSTs are bangers. The drama lacks consistency in many aspects but it does have its sweet moments. The interactions between the characters in this bizarre situation will grow on you and get to appreciate it. Overall, Song Ji Hyo smile is just too good to miss.
Better than I thought. Don't listen to the comments. Sung Dong Il with amazing performance similar to his role in Miss Hammurabi even his occupation is the same, love seeing him bursting in anger randomly.
Another amazing performance by Gong Hyo Jin. Their journey leading up to the ending was great to watch. It had some really memorable moments around the last few episodes especially with Mr Lee.
It's heartbreaking Jung Da Bin is no longer with us, such a great talent. I wish this drama had spared some time to show us the leads getting lovey-dovey, the ending felt a little abrupt.
Bruh this is so fucking sad, it also had some hilarious moments more than any comedy drama. I wished we got to see more of her 25yo self, the characters chemistry were too good.
Cho Yeo Jung smile is too damn powerful. The drama is very similar to Couple or Trouble (2006). Same story/setting/plot elements/vibe/era. But I think this one is better, feels more alive with its characters and actually have things going around instead of a casual slice of life. If you are looking for a cute light fun drama then go for it.
Endless teasing that absolutely goes no where. Don't expect romance/feelings until the last episode and even then barely anything. This is a slice of life comedy. After few episodes it got really boring, too repetitive. Create a problem -> Ms kim solve it in style, rinse and repeat. All that being said, Kim Hye Soo is too damn stunning.
I didn't like the 2ML, he tries to be funny but he's not. Although his character got better around the end. I found it weird how Seol Ri didn't have much involvement despite being the one who kicked off the entire plot. I guess they didn't want to play on the infidelity topic, it was just a one time thing in the past. Now looking back at it, it's better this way, otherwise it could have gone into a tedious makjang route. I wished Yong Ki had more screen time, especially around the end. One thing I really didn't like is FL turning cold in the middle for too damn long, it felt it took forever.
I was expecting heavier divorce cases but it turned out the cases were on the lighter side except that particular one. On another note, I loved the FL hairstyle, criticize it as much as you want, you just don't get it. Speaking of FL, this is the first main role of Cho Yeo Jung I've seen and I'm excited to check out more of her work.
Sang Shil is just too damn cute but that wasn't enough to save the drama. The story kicks off after 2 episodes then it staggers for 12 episodes before resuming. The drama is mostly about their daily life with barely anything happening. Modern Kdrama casuals wouldn't have enough attention span to sit through it. Compared to modern dramas this would be destroyed. All that being said, it's rewarding watching the ruthless, cold and mean Sang Shil getting warmer.
It's actually much better than I thought it would be by just looking at the rating. Light rom-com with good chemistry between leads. But this shouldn't have been 20 episodes, it was running dry at times.
So this is my first drama ever. I got my hands on the bluray without knowing anything. I decided to watch it since drama was an untouched medium I haven't explored before. Also, I've seen the anime a week before so the story is still fresh in my mind. I have seen thousands of foreign movies that includes Jap & Kor movies. So why not check what's with all the hype about KDrama.
Now looking back at Winter Sonata, it might not have been the best choice to get myself into drama world. Luckily my second drama was 'something in the rain' which blow me away, that's when I realized this medium has a lot to offer and it's worth exploring.
Winter Sonata was fine, it's draggy and really slow but had nice moments. Yu Jin was amazing while the male lead was average. Wasn't a fan of the ending, they had no reason not to make better.
I got to watch this because of the cross dressing and ML questioning their sexuality, I just wanted some Coffee Prince vibes. But what I got is a clusterfuck mess of idiocy. It treats you, the viewer, as a single brain cell being. Everything has to be explained, repeated and fed to you forcefully like a toddler. Every information has to be given a reaction from all the cast before proceeding with the plot. Dialogues and expressions get really dull and robotic. Ending could have been better, it's senseless and lacks much impactful emotions. It's strange how the quality dips really hard here despite both writer and director had decent other works.
With all that being said, Yoon Chan not getting a single kiss is true injustice!
But the theme of infidelity is there. Some accusations/suspicion/misunderstandings ...etc
Even though he died, at least make him a suspect after Tae Ra alleged suicide.
