Why is the rating for this show at 8.2? There must be some GMMTV bots doing the reviews. This and Vice-Versa should never have scores this high. Even if people think they will drop a lot after the series ends, I rarely find that to be the case. Vice-Versa stayed at 8.3 before and after the show aired. No humans could like this BS. It's like people going to a restaurant that served spoiled food with rats scurrying under the table, and giving it rave reviews.
If they were trying to introduce perth chimon as couple by this show it was such a bad idea . They barely have…
I must admit, I'm not excited by Perth Chimon. I just don't feel it. I love Perth and really would like to see him paired with someone else romantically (I don't know who), but Chimon just doesn't work for me, even though I think he's a great actor. I think that couple will have a short shelf life. If you like that pairing, then more power to you. They're both great actors, and I actually will enjoy seeing them in their new BL series. As far as marketing, I'd completely agree that they should have more screen time in DLMG to set up for their own. Their relationship was just like an afterthought here, and it's the only other couple in the series. Couldn't they cut out some of their redundant junk like the endless beatings of Palm to make time for them?
I'm not upset about this episode like most people. I think it was nice seeing the couple from History 4, and I enjoyed their little cameo. I know most people don't like that couple, but to each his own, and I have no problem with an oddball couple in love serving as a model for another one, and offering advice on how to become a couple to Lin is not inappropriate as some make out on here. Yes, they are discussing the age gap issue which they can address, and it has no bearing on the thing everyone finds more problematic - that those two are step brothers.
I was mildly entertained for most of the episode, but I never like the comedy that much in this series. Most of it is just not that funny. OK, that line that the angels have iphone 20's was kind of funny, but it's just mildly titillating. Only the scenes with Momo are ever humorous, and Johnny only plays well off of her - if those two were the comic sidekicks of the main characters that would have worked better, but Johnny is not a very good love interest and that's the main weakness of this series for me. I feel no interest in him making out with Hai Yi. I literally cringe seeing them together, because Johnny is really unsexy and Hai Yi is supernaturally sexy. It's like Hai Yi is trying to make love to Mary Poppins, and it's just not interesting - actually it's a little repulsive. So I just imagine it's some other characters making out, and that gets me through this. The other couple is really very sweet, and I don't know what people are complaining about with them. I'm waiting for some really heated sex between them, but I'm satisfied with them just kissing, because they're both attractive and have really appealing personalities.
There's a lot to resolve in just one episode. This is definitely going to be rushed. I don't know why they didn't plan that better. They definitely could have avoided a lot of that slapstick and nonsense in this episode among others to help with the development of the plot, but, oh well. We'll see how it turns out, but it's going to be unlikely they can resolve all of that with the Chairman's company and the time travel issue in a really satisfying way while allowing time for some romantic scenes after the couples get back together. Strangely, even though I don't like Johnny, this will be depressing if he and Hai Yi don't stay together. I hope they don't go there. This series should not end on a tragic note, and it doesn't have the gravitas for that to be an appropriate conclusion.
Why can't people choose the school of wizardry after they graduate high school? I think the guidance counselor shouldn't pick on people for their career choices. I hear Thailand's school of wizardry is setting new standards in magical studies, and is really catching up fast to the West.
am I the only one who kind of is enjoying this series...?
Shame on you.
It's ok, I forgive you.
There are plenty of people who like this show, but it's not for most people. I used to like it before episode 5, and then the serious drugs started kicking in with the screenwriting.
Thanks to Perth for the one great moment in this episode. It's like he cut through all the whirlpool of shit in the rest of the series, with that great scene where he points the gun at his father. You felt like his emotions were on the edge of a knife where he's deciding whether its worth it to kill his father - he's at the edge between rationale thought and total hatred, and between love of his father, and great compassion for his cousin. Thanks for the one minute that made this episode worthwile, but we did have to watch 50 minutes of crap to get to this. I couldn't even enjoy the fluff this episode. What was with the zombie-like dancing? Why is Neung looking at Palm like a mannequin [just look at his facial expressions during the dance]? They couldn't even get the fluff right. How hard is that? What a total disaster of a series. Please let the ending be a nuclear bomb detonates over the whole city, and wipe our memory of the whole thing. It would be the logical conclusion to this shitshow. Just let Chopper go on vacation to Chiang Mai before that happens - ok, scriptwriters? Thank you for your thoughtfulness ahead of time.
God this plot is so garbled, it's hard to make any sense of it. It's like bad man want to kill nice boy and also hurt nice boy's boyfriend. That is the most intelligent part of the plot. The rest of it is so mangled by implausibilities that all I want to do is watch the fluff, and I'm fast forwarding till I get there. Mom should have been killed a thousand times over. Neung should have hired one hundred body guards to follow him around all day like a bunch of meat shields, because his uncle has given him 1 million signs that that is what he needs to do. Even brain dead Palm knows he needs to do that, so why does Neung do nothing to protect himself? I can't take it anymore - this show is just one iota better than Vice-Versa as far as plot, and I don't know what the point of watching this is at this point, except for the fact that we're only 1 episode away from the end. I also like watching Perth and Chimon. Perth almost makes a move on his father, but it's totally useless, and I'm disappointed that he wasn't brave enough to pull the trigger, but also that he was stupid enough to just kill him in cold blood like that. How was he going to cover up the murder? I thought Chopper was going to be smarter than that. Why does the father just let Chopper go? I think I would lock him up or something after that. The collapsing plot has infected Chopper's story as well and now nothing is left. It's just an empty, mindless soup of chaotic events being churned around at a fast pace to keep you interested, and that's pretty pathetic. I'd never thought I'd say I'd rather watch a high school BL, but at least those plots are simple enough that they can't become a total mess like in this series.
I hate being repetitive, but this series is brilliantly intense. They draw so many parallels in this episode. The story of Nim and Mollie is so similar to what is happening with Jean and Alex. It's done purposefully, and you can see the couples constantly around each other. Nim is not ready for a relationship, and Mollie is desperate for one, and does everything except kidnapping Nim and holding her hostage, but Nim would seemingly never relent. It seemed like she would never say yes, and they did such a great job portraying this hard block in her mind that prevented her from getting back with Mollie. Nim loves with all her heart, and she is not ready to be hurt again, so she doesn't want to ever take a chance again. Mollie finally unlocks her resistance, reminding her that life is about taking chances. It's like Nim needed to hear that, and not all the other words that Mollie threw at her, because it was about her decision that she had to make that she couldn't understand. She didn't really want to be alone, it was just that she forgot that she had to take a risk in order to really be happy. I think that was stated so perfectly by Mollie who is finally calm enough to make a rationale argument to Nim rather than making her shut down with her heated words full of bitterness.
Jean is also not ready for anyone, but she never makes it as far as Nim. Nim and Mollie at least have some understanding of each other, and have never hurt each other that deeply so they don't have something like a festering wound like Jean has. Jean can't be with Alex and is not ready for any relationship because she is far more hurt than Nim ever was. She believes she was raped and she had an unwanted baby because of Alex, and unlike Mollie's situation with Nim, no words from Alex would ever make her forgive those actions. This is just a tragedy and there is nothing that Alex could do to relieve this trauma for her because she doesn't know how to forgive him, just like Alex doesn't know how to forgive his father. It's another parallel. Alex's father left his wife and she couldn't forgive him in the same way Jean can't forgive Alex. The sense of being wronged is so fierce in Alex, his mother, and Jean that they are causing themselves enormous, and relentless pain. It is true that all these crimes are what some call "unforgiveable", but the interesting question that's being presented here is what price are people willing to pay to hold on to their hatred? The other question is how do they even let go of it? None of these people even know how, but I think the drama of the next episode is will they be able to answer this question. That's really creating a great deal of suspense for the finale.
As always I loved Army in this episode. I knew he would be back to get Joe in his relentless, obstinate way. I've always loved how he fights for his man. I think it's cute how he's about to give up on Joe, just saying, in essence, he's not going to force Joe to do anything - he's finally respecting his boundaries, unlike ever before. Joe also relents and gives Army a chance to win him over, showing some growth on his side as well.
This series is just among the best I've ever watched. It's nor really a sci-fi series. It's a fairy-tale, and it's constructed with all the elements of the real world. This is a unique, and very creative show, that is a totally unexpected classic.
This series is just all over the place. They had a small budget and they could not adequately explore all these different couples, a murder mystery, BDSM, weird transgender teachers, and a couple of m/f relationships. It's just a hot mess, but I like a few things like Burger King, and some segments of the other couples. The m/f relationships could have been avoided completely especially considering this is a BL that already has 3 couples. There is no time to explore all of this in 6 episodes. Even if they have a season 2, they don't have time for all that. This is a series that has no idea what its mission is. It's just throwing everything at the wall hoping to make you interested, and make some money, somehow. If some of the couples weren't cute and engaging, I would have dropped this after episode 1 or 2. They just have so much stuff going on that it keeps you "turning the page", but everyone should realize by now, that they have virtually no idea what they are doing as far as creating a cohesive plot.
I cant answer for sure why the shorts are so short, but in most other series, the shorts are this short. Love…
He's confusing the short shorts they use in gym with the school uniform. It's really not controversial. Even short shorts are not exactly like thongs, lol.
Is it just me or does Hira look cuter this season? I'm here wishing for 6 eps.
It’s the haircut. They got rid of the mullet and it was not even a half decent mullet at that. Kiyoi gives him a fashion makeover and you almost felt he couldn’t stand Hira’s total disregard for his appearance.
Thank god this series avoided the last minute drama of episode 11's of the past. This series really is quietly breaking all the Thai BL low-ball standards. I'm really impressed. It's avoided all the fake drama, and all we have are real emotions that are timed right, and fully realized, like the extreme disappointment of losing the Hot Wave contest. Even in Bad Buddy, they didn't really get the ending right, and the conflict between the parents just petered out in a less than satisfying way. Everything seems to be complete in My School President - it was built up beautifully and finished with a kind of perfect, yet slightly unhappy ending. I think it's better this way. They really got it right, because if the kids won the contest, it would have felt a little trite, and they wouldn't have to confront the tensions simmering between members of the band. I like that they lost, and the main point which is really emphasized is that the love of Gun and Tinn isn't about winning contests, but about their love overcoming obstacles, and being fulfilled in the long course of time, rather than in the ephemeral moment.
I think Chopper isn't necessarily someone with good moral, he's more of a soft-hearted person. No matter what…
Maybe it is like Akk. I guess its hard to tell. At least in The Eclipse you knew that was the reason. I’m not certain here. It might also be because he knows the cops are corrupt.
I'll agree with others that Chopper should have turned his father in. He's supposed to be heroic, so he should do that - just look how he saves Ben. It's tough turning your father in but Chopper does have very good morals so it should actually be a natural decision for him to make. Neung's family is being decimated by his evil, conniving father, and Chopper is supposed to be brave. I don't know what he's waiting for especially since his father is going to try to kill Neungdiao next. It's either jail for his father or another dead relative - it's not a morally difficult choice.
I love Perth, and he is the best thing in this series. Don't forget Chimon is also excellent, everyone! Why doesn't Chimon get any of this praise, like everyone is so fixated on Perth for some reason. I think Perth's character is the best so maybe that's it - it's the combo of Perth's great acting and the wonderful tragic character he's portraying. I like the powerful intensity of his portrayal. He says so much with his eyes, and little things like his trembling lips when he's talking to Neung. Just amazing acting. Some of the best in any BL. Chimon is also at that level but I just don't think his character is as interesting. He was sort of slimy feeling initially, and now he's moved up to contrite slimeball which isn't that moving to watch, but I think his acting is just very professional, and natural.
Oh how I love your comment. You're right, they're not great actors, they're OK but even in BL standard, this series…
Which P'Jojo series didn't you like? I love the early ones, especially Gay OK Bangkok. It's one of my favorite series. The only ones I haven't watched is the Player and Mama Gogo, but I've liked all the other ones including both Friendzones, and 3 Will be Free.
It's hard to know what process these screenwriters use. Whatever process GMMTV uses, it's broken. I'm thinking of other disasters like Vice-Versa and Enchante. It seems like the rare series that escapes this terrible screenplay disease at GMMTV. There seems to be no editing - like they don't go through a 1st draft, 2nd draft, final product proof-reading process. Maybe they need to send these people to screenwriting school. I don't know how these things never seem to be unified, and there is that inevitable 11th episode disaster because someone wants some last minute drama whether it makes any sense or not.
Do they double-check each other's work? It doesn't seem like it. Two sets or three sets of eyes on these wacky screenplays couldn't have missed all these weird mistakes. They have to do something else like picking certain people do particular sections of the screenplay, They throw the final product at the director who just goes with it whether it makes any sense or not, because the directors tell themselves that that's not their job, or they feel too unconfident to modify it.
Oh how I love your comment. You're right, they're not great actors, they're OK but even in BL standard, this series…
I think P’Jojo at least had to greenlight this and I’m surprised at that. He must have been doing some serious drugs , because he’s never been this bad. Maybe the producers told him to put in some fluff with the island scenes and he couldn’t really make the show he wanted. I don’t know - it’s just a horrible plot at the end of the day.
One of the screenwriters is the same as from Hit, Bite, Love and he also made the screenplay for Checkout. Maybe its him? That guy is a terrible screenwriter. The rest of the writers are the same ones doing Warp Effect which has an excellent screenplay.
There was sex in this episode? I saw some sub par "kissing" on a kitchen counter that was halted by virgin jitters…
I’ve seen saliva and tongue in maybe 1 or 2 shows ever, but I understand where you’re coming from. I totally want the same thing, but it just never happens. I’m not trying to be argumentative and thanks for being civil about it
There was sex in this episode? I saw some sub par "kissing" on a kitchen counter that was halted by virgin jitters…
I liked the kissing. I guess that’s subjective. Ok, no sex really but I think I said that. Man people are getting greedy. We used to have nothing in most BL series
