Title Never Let Me Go Spoiler
There are too many shooting in this series. I live in the USA and guns are not glamopurous and they are not cool.…
Killing the mother was cruel and misplaced in a BL. I don't know what they're going for here, but they lost my sympathy as well with this. The director said this was a family drama, but he keeps veering off into this gangster style storyline. I really would have liked to see the continued reconciliation of Palm with his mother, and that would have been a beautiful story but it was brutally cut short for no good reason. It would have been such a touching part of this series if we could have seen the mother and son relationship keep growing.

This plot is just a shambles. As always, I'm ignoring the plot in this series. It is a tenuous fabric that is at least holding together the relationships that are still very interesting and moving to me. The other positive about the plot is that there is constant drama, unlike your typical university BL, and it keeps engaging your interest, but, sigh, it is almost immoral to say anything positive here when it is just so illogical.

This episode was exhausting to watch because I still feel connected to the characters. I hate seeing Palm being tortured by the death of his mom, and then by the insensitive and misguided rejection by Neung, who thinks he knows what's best for him. I think he's supposedly doing that to protect Palm, but why is he not even opening the door a crack for a possible future reunion? It seems unnaturally cruel even if he blames himself for what happened to Palm's mother. In reality Palm's mother got herself killed, and Palm probably bears some responsibility as well for distracting her while he's coming down the stairs. Neung doesn't have to do all that and take on the uncle by himself. He seems completely oblivious to Palm's feelings for him, because Palm said multiple times that he wants to be with Neung forever, and he doesn't seem to read the room here, and is going on about family obligations and other irrelevant junk.

The scene with Ben and Chopper was powerful and was the only one where I felt any real emotions. The other scene with Neung and Palm just doesn't feel real to me, somehow. It only made me irritated, but I really felt sad for Chopper. He can't really reveal himself to his father who would just tear him apart if he went against him. It's sad to see Chopper have to possibly lose Ben because of the impossible situation he's in, and I felt Perth's acting was just magnificent here. It really captured the quandary he's in, and how he has to finally make up his mind about confronting his brutal, gangster father.

I'm just hoping for some happy ending for both couples, and that is the only thing that's making me watch this. I think there were a lot of nice ideas, but somewhere around episode 5, the series lost the chance to ever be great, and now it's struggling to stay mediocre. I hate to say that as a P'Jojo fan, but I'm even losing interest in the couples. I'd rather have them stick with the fluff in the last few episodes than go into this soap opera drama of this one. This series is just going all over the place, and it really needs to simplify, and work on cohesiveness.

Title The Warp Effect Spoiler
Every week seems to be just amazing with this show. I think this show is great for showing the sex lives of just average people. Too many Western dramas focus on hyper-sexual perverts and their sociopathic fantasies. These are all just regular people with typical issues, but they really make every scene enjoyable. I like how they teach life lessons without being too preachy. This show is really striking an excellent balance. Rose and Jedi have an open relationship that was never really open, and I like how they both fantasize about having many sexual experiences without ever daring to. It would have been interesting to see a real open relationship, but we get the idea. What's interesting is the exploration of a relationship with boundaries, as well as sex based on love rather than carnal desire. To that interesting mix they talk about STD's but an STD that is related to a time before they were a couple. It's interesting how they related that novel concept to the idea of the likelihood of catching an STD in an open relationship. It's just really so complex that it has to be just like the messy real world. I love how they captured this realism. This is just such a complex scenario and Rose is also a transgender character which adds even more uniqueness to this situation.

Alex is really heroic in this episode. I love how he turns Kat down. He really is just super mature here, and has really elevated himself beyond recognition. He knew Kat wasn't ready for a relationship, and was using him as a psychological prop. He's also giving the best possible advice to his brother, and I like how Phuwin stops being a smartass at this point to listen to his brother for once without spite and jealousy. It was timed just right, because Alex really is saving his brother's life from a world he was not ready for, and it is appropriate that Ice finally can see his brother's true nature at that point.

There is so much going on this episode. Mollie and Kim finally get back together, and they really played that well. It was just enough of a build up that nothing seems forced. You could feel that Molly was testing the waters, and Kim admits to only having some lasting feelings from the past that were not strong but that could be rekindled. It's really a well done make-up, full of nostalgia and a mature acceptance of past mistakes.

I like how Army is so aggressively interested in being a father. He never even pursued it, but the idea just struck him like really unexpectedly. It's another complex twist. The slutty, free-wheeling Army suddenly becomes the person who most wants to have a baby of all of them. It fits somehow, though, and you could see him being a good father. That this whole idea of gay parenthood is pushed on to two different couples, now, is also a very interesting story, because Army and Jo are struggling with this along with Kim [and Molly will in a little bit, as well]. Army is just so wild pushing this family onto Jo without considering his feelings about it, and also outing him at the same time. He's really out of control, and this reflects some of his past callousness, although without any cruel intent here. Army is too child-like and it's interesting to see how this plays out in their relationship. What he does have that will help Jo is relentless enthusiasm, and a backbone. Hopefully that will help keep this couple together, and I think they are suited for each other.

This screenplay is just brilliant! I love all these characters, and I love the messiness of all these relationships. They always have plenty of comedy and drama in virtually every scene. The pacing is wonderful. I don't know why you wouldn't like this. It's really just so intense while seeming very light-hearted. All the actors are also totally spot on here, and P'Jojo is just directing this flawlessly.

Title Till the World Ends Spoiler
My guess is Art saw the future and maybe in season 2 we saw a different perspective where everyone stays alive..…
The director's cut has a different ending with Golf instead of Art, and I think there is a different ending that will be explored in season 2 after all. Golf is not even dreaming in that scene.

Title Till the World Ends Spoiler
There is a different ending in the director's cut of this. I'll put it in a spoiler below.
In the last few seconds, instead of seeing Art you see Golf tied up with a gag on his mouth. This leads us to think that there is going to be a Season 2. Golf isn't dreaming like Art, so the ending has to be different.

Huh? Is Liang actually a villain. There is something intuitively wrong with him - Hai Yi is on to something, I think. He might have no scruples and that is why he keeps Tony around, otherwise this screenplay is just crap, because Tony should have been fired a million times over, and the idea of rewarding him or insisting that he stay with Liang at the company is just super bizarre. I'm hoping that is where this going because otherwise this show has just gone crazy. But I really don't like losing Liang as the super-nice, saintly mentor of Lin. Its too bad, either way.

I really like the scenes with Hai Yi and his father. I think the part where he is discussing how his father and he never got to reconcile before he passed away was very touching. I think Hai Yi's acting was superb throughout this episode. Linus Wang is very talented and handsome. I think Hai Yi taking on Liang is a crazy and impetuous idea, and almost comedic given the disparity in their abilities. I'm thinking this could be really interesting if they somehow show Hai Yi realistically challenging Liang, and that's going to take a lot of creativity - if they succeed, this could be a really excellent screenplay. I'm just going to take a wait and see approach. There's no reason to assume this episode was bad just yet.

That island they are on is 100% Koh Samui. That map that guy was looking at just pinpointed the location. Really a beautiful place and one of the best places to visit in Thailand.

It's really getting better. I think the huge plot holes are not as distracting this episode. I wish the one with Neung's continued lack of feeling about his mom would be resolved somehow. Looking back on it, I think the reason he might not have any strong sense of dismay, or feelings of depression at his mom's condition is that they might never have been close. He might have been at boarding school, or his parents might have always been away working, though he did seem distraught when his father died. It would be good if that could have been explained in a little flashback so we don't constantly wonder why he's like inhumanly happy while losing both his parents [one is in a coma, of course]. He must at least be happy to be away from that school where it looks like he's constantly bullied.

I think Neung is continuing to improve, and he's made a very magnanimous offer to Pond's mom, at the risk of his own life. I think he's grown an enormous amount, and one can fully sympathize with his character at this point- no one has to keep thinking of him as the spoiled rich brat. It's obvious that he sees Palm as a real partner in this episode, and I love their romantic interactions. They really are on fire, and the chemistry is totally there.

The plot with the mom was well executed and there were no serious issues with this side plot. I have no problem with the mom giving Pond a hug - they have to mend their relationship at some point. I think they see a connection at least as something like friends, and she does apologize for what she did.

Chopper's plot with Ben is also not bad. I don't see any problem with it - Chopper is handsome and has done Ben a great service, so why can't Ben start liking him? It's not like they've just jumped right into some passionate kissing. It seems totally plausible. There aren't too many guys that are out in their high school so it's not like Ben has a lot of choices.

Overall this episode was really the best, and some of the damage of the previous episodes has been softened. It's definitely a very entertaining BL even if it's got a lot of issues.

How's his acting in that one? He's like a robot in this - a service robot, to be more exact.
I checked it out. His acting is actually better in this -although his nipples were distracting me, his acting does seem better if you watch him after Nannon chases him down: https://youtu.be/_25Y7mudkeA?t=113

On The Warp Effect Jan 31, 2023
This show is just so smart and sophisticated. This might be the only realistic show providing valid information about sex out there in Thai programming. It's doing a great job with modelling behavior for people with sexual issues, and exposing the dilemna's people face in sexual relationships. The relationship with Joe and Thor is just so wonderfully explored, and we are "treated" to a real issue among gay men that is not often delved into, men who do not like penetrative sex. I don't even think I've even seen this dealt with in Western gay dramas - probably because most of those dramas deal with more sociopathic behavior, than the lives of average gay men. It's done in a really fun and engaging way, especially with the way Newie just touches Fluke all over to "teach" him the way to handle Joe - and good for Newie for being so brazen about it.

I like how we are dealing with Kat and her assault. This is the way the screenplay was completely salvaged, and really elevated, because Alex is completely redeeming himself. He is doing everything to protect Kat as a friend, even making sure she has friends accompanying her in the parking deck. Isn't this like a fairy-tale but with tainted people who are just struggling to survive? Alex who's no saint, saves his fuck-buddy who's seeing the value of having friends rather than sex-crazed men around her. She also sees Alex in a new light, as a gentle, kind-hearted person, rather than just the casual sex partner.

I also like the setup with Mollie and her ex. Mollie has grown up quite a lot and is ready for the relationship. I think they did a great job of developing this character into this mature person who can accept Nim. Nim loves "with all her heart" and has fallen in love with two superficial people in her life, but one has transitioned out of superficiality. Mollie's only issue is that she has to move slowly, almost a test set up by Nim to guage her maturity. Nim just left one traumatic relationship, yet they both sensed the strong desire to be together. Yet, in a second they both also saw the need to pause and reflect - Mollie sees she's moving too fast, and Nim knows she's not ready to jump into a new relationship that quickly after the trauma of losing her last lover. This show is really just so good at relaying these subtle and complex emotions.

This is really a drama that is well worth watching - always entertaining while being thought provoking. One of the best series out there which is really cosmopolitan, and at the forefront of exploring sexual relations in all their various permutations.

IMO UWMA will always be superior to me .
They're in different leagues. Between Us is very tired and sad compared to UWMA. They're just trying to make money off the franchise, as well as the BounPrem ship.

They really need to have shown him seeing a therapist. It's not just this series but virtually every BL that has…
It seems like he did, but also is not portrayed in any effective way. Whoever he was seeing didn't seem to do anything effective with him. Let me just guess that they threw that thing in about the meds at the last minute and didn't really think through any real treatment. But I think it's good they at least mentioned it, and that he did see a therapist. I actually run a mental health clinic, so those meds would be prescribed by the psychiatrist, or nurse practitioner, though a therapist could recommend them. What's missing seems to be active, ongoing counseling. Well this series does make an attempt at least, and that's better than most.

I came to this series with no expectations. I always thought it was going to be difficult to make the Win, Team story interesting. They had one traumatic story that they milked for 10+ episodes to keep you vested, and added three side couples to fill in the gap. Now, the side couples' stories were actually ok, and all of them were better than the main couple's. I just found the story of Win and Team just petered out, and why are they more tepid with each other in episode 12 than they were in episode 2? What a weird way to end this with them. Everyone else thought they were going to announce their marriage, but they announce they are going to have a private swim competition between each other - how romantic! I don't know what to make of this series. Team has remained an infant who Win enables by giving in to his every demand, including carrying him even when he doesn't ask for it. I'm going to put in one more plug for therapy here, especially since these are wealthy kids living in Bangkok. Team seems like he might not have grown up due to his trauma. He still wants to sleep with his parents, and is using Win as their substitute. This show makes it seem like Win is going to be his main support in getting through this, but he seems more like an enabler to me. I hope Win is up to caretaking this baby, and spoon feeding him for 50 more years - maybe he could have staff help out when he gets exhausted.

That plot with Ink was a total turnoff. All I keep thinking is when is he going to dump her, or please dump her now. She's a nice girl, but I couldn't be less interested about her in a BL. I watch plenty of hetero romances so it has nothing to do with that. I want my BurgerKing, and we only have 6 episodes - there's no time to waste what precious few moments we have with this cute couple on plain Jane Ink. I like all King's flirting with Burger, but we can't have Burger just rejecting it, and feeling all awkward all the time.

This is a cute series that's nothing too special, but its got some moments that are really adorable and I think its worth watching. I've enjoyed this already more than some of the lame BL's that have come out like Star in My Mind. Those trans teachers, though, wow. Why is that one always dressed like a dumpy fairy princess. Weird.

The character Inami is just a tortured individual. We do some things for love, but you should never hurt others in the process. What Inami did was just pure evil whatever his motives were. If you're love interest is that monstrous, you need to move on and find someone else. Please, there are 37 million people living in the city of Tokyo, the largest metropolis on the planet - you can start looking for another soulmate. This guy has some serious mental health issues, and he is totally fixated on someone from his childhood in a very unbalanced and self-destructive way.

I love how Onoe has taken the lead in unmasking Inami. He's the team member with the highest level of journalistic integrity whereas Kubaragi possesses the highest level of journalistic savvy and judgement. They make an incredible team. Onoe has a lot o technical skills like his knowledge of the tax code, and his editing prowess, while Kubaragi is a great photographer. These guys complement each other in a very symbiotic way in their professional life, and their personalities do as well. The shy Onoe is pure and giving, whereas Kuburagi has a difficult time being sensitive. Onoe is too trusting which leads to him getting the team into trouble and prevents him from judging people appropriately. Kuburagi is very sharp, but too cynical and distrusting which helps with their cases but makes him unable to connect with people on an emotional level. I think the writing in this series is just superb. I had no problem with the kiss either. This is a progression. We first had the hug last episode, and we moved on to a gentle kiss along with a love confession this episode. A passionate, deep kiss would be misplaced at this point. I have a feeling it will be coming by the end, and I'm willing to be patient, especially since I feel all the passion is there. Kuburagi's emotions are really submerged and his feelings come to the fore in what feels like a very tepid and cold way, but that's just his character. I have a feeling he will break out of that shell for the climax.
On My School President Jan 28, 2023
This is still the best High School BL ever. I'm almost certain it's going to end that way. This is also the most positive comment board I've ever seen. This is what you get when you give the audience a good show that's always consistent. I don't think we're asking for that much, but we rarely get it with all the stupid tropes, phony drama, poor editing, etc, There doesn't have to be an elaborate plot, but the pacing has to be right, and this show does it right. Just don't get lazy and put in a lot of filler. Fourth and Gemini's acting is just perfect for their roles, and they deserve some kind of award. The whole crew is also just nailing it including Win and Sound as the second couple and Mark as Tinn's friend / chaperone. Both Tinn's mom and Fourth's mom are also just perfect - Fourth's mom's got the best line this episode "You did great, Buttface." I like the comedy in this series which is always consistently amusing. The only thing I have to complain about is that I wish they had 20 more episodes. Please give us season 2, at least, and several specials in between.
