lol, I agree. We never get the therapy at all. It can be integrated pretty easily. We have hospital scenes in these BL's all the time, so they can just meet at the other kind of hospital, or at the therapy clinic. I just don't get why it never happens. It should happen once in a while just by accident. It's like they are consciously avoiding it.

I think most watchers here need to remember this is the backstory of WinTeam which literally everyone was asking…
They really need to have shown him seeing a therapist. It's not just this series but virtually every BL that has this kind of trauma including virtually every Mame production. Nothing is ever resolved, and in every production like this, there is a lingering feeling the story was never finished. That's because it really isn't. It's not like everything needs to have a fairy-tale ending, but they never talk about these psychological issues and just sweep them under the rug in every BL. It would be good modeling to represent the actual thing these guys should be doing which is seeing a therapist or psychiatrist. I think the kids that watch these things might be thinking that getting a boyfriend solves all your mental health issues - at least they are being programmed to think that way. The scenes they need in here would just take a couple of minutes. It's also a good public service to teach kids what they should be doing. I'm not sure if there is a stigma against seeing therapists in Thailand, but there definitely was in the US not too long ago, so it would be good to represent it in Thai programming whether they are BL's or Lakorns.

Title Between Us Spoiler
That was a great episode. If there wasn't a week break between scenes, no one would have focused on the break-up between Win and Team. After Team walks out, it's only like 5 minutes before they make up again, but they tried to keep up the suspense by making us think it was going to be much longer than that so you would come back to watch next week. That was really unnecessary guys, but I'm going to forgive you because this was a beautiful episode.

I like Win and Team's confessions at the beginning though Team takes one thousand pauses to get his sentences out. I loved the feels in that speech. I thought Team was going to talk about his low self-esteem and that he didn't deserve Win, but he talked about how he needs to be the special focus of Team's attention. I wasn't wild about that - it seemed a little selfish, but I'm going by the emotions here, and it felt good, and he does say he loves him by the end of this long ramble. Win's speech was shorter and felt more natural. Really great acting on both sides here, and the singing was a nice touch.

I just wish we had talked a little bit more about Team's trauma to at least give it some closure. Team really needs to see a therapist. His boyfriend's love is not going to solve his low self-esteem, and survivor's guilt complex. In general, BL's need to show scenes where someone going through these things is seeing a therapist like in Love in the Air where one character is gang-raped and never seeks professional help. Just like BL's show more things about LGBTQ rights, they should do this as well, because its a nice public service. I think there is little advocacy in Thai society for this, and there might be a stigma to seeing a therapist like there used to be in the West.

The rest of this episode was excellent with every character. I even liked the ending with Bee and Prince. Bee has to do an awful lot to stay with Prince, and they both will have earned that relationship more than most any other BL couple. I liked the realism they portrayed here, because it is that tough having a relationship while being an actor with these weird contracts. I thought Bee was a little too syrupy and bubbly before, but his character really became very serious here and in a believable way.

I really liked Manow and Phruek's engagement scene. It was done beautifully - really heart-warming. Manow is a special character and it's great to see her get a great ending. I like how Phruek tells her she doesn't always have to be strong with everyone, and she can be herself around him.

Hopefully Tul and Waan will get their reconciliation next episode, but the break up was realistic in this episode. I think Waan has every right to feel betrayed, and it would take him time to forgive Tul.

Overall the best episode of this series. I don't even feel like it was rushed. This episode really saved the show.

I agree with many of your points especially regarding the importance of safe sex and sexual education within minors.…
There are some great movies that have child actors doing sexual scenes. The movie Kids from 1995, has several sex scenes with minors. It was a movie that wanted to portray, realistically, the average life of teenagers in New York City, and was considered by critics like Roger Ebert as an insightful social commentary. I think it's about the intent of the artist that makes the production. I'm not for censorship. It would make me feel queasy watching some of these things, but I didn't feel that way watching Kids because I knew what they were trying to do and it would completely not have worked if you put in 18+ year old kids in there. In Satyricon by Fellini there is a young slave boy who is depicted having sex who is integral to the plot, and you could not have had him be played by someone over 18. In both cases I'm citing, the director made the right choice. I don't think this opened the floodgates for kids being portrayed in a sexual way by the industry. I think I would feel uncomfortable seeing minors being depicted having sex on screen if there didn't seem any artistic reason for it, but I think I would not want it censored, unless it verged on child pornography. There are some grey areas here that I can agree with people who are looking to censor virtually everything. Right now, from all the BL's I've seen, there is nothing I would censor, and there is little reason to agree with anyone, at present, about how they depict sex scenes with kids in these BL's. In Thailand you can't even have them kiss when they're under 18, so I don't see what all the fuss is about.

I agree completely. I don't even find this show to be that good, but I'd like to watch it without someone attacking me for pointing out one of the actors looks hot. I think if they depict the high schoolers being played by people over 18, there should be no issue at all, but we even get people feeling uncomfortable about that. I don't know why there is such a large number of commenters on this board that get so psyched-up about this. If there are child predators in the movie industry [and there are] then you would have to prevent any child actor from ever working again, because these predators aren't just going after the kids that are doing sex scenes. The kind of censorship and preventative measures they want have all sorts of unintended consequences. You wouldn't even be able to do a production of Oliver Twist anymore with rules like that.

Title The Warp Effect Spoiler
After what happened I don't know how we're supposed to root for Alex and Jean as a couple
It's nearly impossible. He gets his ability to orgasm back if he doesn't rape her, but you don't know if he's really remorseful that he raped her, or that he just wants to be able to orgasm. It's just a stupid mistake in the screenplay. I don't think they thought it through, and it's caused it to be hard to root for them. Jean deserves someone that didn't rape her. She's a grown woman and doesn't need to go back to Alex after meeting hundreds of other potential partners.

It's not bad. I think Shogun's breakup with his boyfriend was the best part of this first episode. BurgerKing are cute, and that name was comic genius - that might be the most inspired part of this screenplay which is very average so far. The trans character being such a Victorian prude was weird - I actually think it's an attempt to reform the image of trans characters that are supposed to be sexually obsessed and promiscuous. Whatever it is, it doesn't work, and that character is like nails on chalkboard whenever she shows up.

You made the right choice. The main character you see for most of 16 episodes commits suicide but comes back as the teddy bear, and is trapped in the body of a teddy bear for the rest of time watching the other main's old lover come back - and watching them be in a relationship till they grow old. I don't know why people don't address this part. It's an insurmountable flaw in the storyline.

I felt it was the best episode as well. It really was moving the plot forward for all the characters including Por who gets disappointed that the girl he liked wasn't "available". Yo's story is integrated well because it is the driver to talk about the band rule banning relationships like you said, and his girlfriend is related to the person who started the rule. The comedy in this episode is the best, especially Gun's "Romeo, you're a son of a bitch..." I think every part of this episode was fun and engaging. In this episode they actually do go on their first date, under the guise of helping Yo meet his girl. This is the same aquarium I believe that other past couples like in I Told Sunset About You went out on a date. There's only one famous aquarium in Bangkok. It was also in 'Cause your my Boy. Maybe this is like movie "symbolism" - you go here when you first start dating and try to become a couple.

I don't get that at all. This episode is not filler plotwise. They just tried to remove the rule that allows dating, and almost did. Yo finally gets a plotline with his Tinder girlfriend who is about to dump him and then gets back together with him in the same episode. Gun gets jealous over the girl, but gets over it in the same episode as well. I think you're probably right about the Romeo and Juliet play being introduced. Tinn is now actively going for Gun which shows an evolution in their relationship. Filler to me is where there is no development and no important plot lines are introduced. I have no idea why this episode would be considered filler compared to let's say the last episode. One could argue that less happened there than in this one. Sometimes these things are just a matter of perception or subjectivism. People feel less happened in this episode because it felt that way, maybe, but they didn't really analyze it.

I'm getting cuteness overload. I'm going to have to take a break - ok, I think I can handle it if I just watch some Schindler's List in between scenes.

What another great episode! The couples are just so impossibly cute they are on another plane of fluffiness that is far up there. I love all those little jokes, even if they are corny like the Sodium Radium Potassium one. That Romeo one was just so well played. Fourth's delivery was perfect. I think that had to be some of the best Thai humor I've ever seen. I loved the scenes with Winny and Sound - they were just perfect in their scene even if it was pretty contrived. There really isn't a dull moment. There are so many little touches everywhere like that little winking Tinn does during his school address, while Winny bitches about his rambling speech. It's just like everything works. This is brilliant!

Alex raped Jean. Jean being drunk, Alex being drunk and drugged does not change the fact that Alex raped Jean.…
Yes, I am making the assumption he was not a blackout drunk. He seemed totally fine - he didn't puke or have any alcohol poisoning - he wasn't experiencing complete lack of cognition which is a sign of a blackout drunk. I must admit I have never experienced drinking like that, nor do I know anyone that has had virtual amnesia the day after. It's pretty rare, and even then Alex didn't have the symptoms for a blackout, in my opinion. I'm probably getting too technical here. To put it more simply, it's just not believable or good writing. But BL's have far more illogical plotlines than this. Just check out Jojo's other current BL that's running, Never Let Me Go for crazy plot holes the size of Texas.

I wish it hadn't been a rape that was Alex's issue with Jean that he was supposed to fix. I agree completely with you that the writers messed that up. There can be no good ending to the plotline with Jean and Alex- it's so sullied that it won't feel like you even want it. That's also a great point about Army. Unfortunately, he won't get to go back in time to fix his issue with Joe. Joe just forgives Army with no strings attached. This is really regressive behavior.

Can't high schoolers have sex? I bet the underage ones in this BL will do nothing except a peck on the lips like all the other past high school BL's - check out Make It Right as an example of this, Peek and Boom's lips didn't even touch [they were both 15 at the time, I believe]. I think what's missing is probably a discussion of safe sex which starts with depicting sex between the very minors that don't practice it. There is also some psychological trauma associated with depicting sex as evil and hiding it under the rug which makes it feel illicit. In some ways it's similar to not speaking about drugs. Its better to have openness in depicting sex and to temper that with creating a sense of responsibility - like showing them using a condom in these shows. The sex drive is really strong in teenagers. People forget that life expectancy used to be very low - like in the 30's, and 14-15 used to be considered an adult age. The whole idea of adolescence is just a social construct, and adulthood is defined biologically [and cross-culturally in past history] as occurring with the beginning of puberty. We created a new extended childhood in the 20th century after medicine extended life expectancy. I agree most teenagers are immature and do not understand the consequences of having sexual relations, but we can't force them to not think about it, and not see it. What about depicting responsible relationships between young people since they already have them?

And why attack people who like watching a BL like this? Let's stop accusing them of being crypto-pedophiles. They don't have the same hang-ups as you might, and should be able to watch these things without criticism. I was attacked myself for saying I thought a particular high school BL couple was sexy even though the actors were both over 18. They really went after me like I was some creepy pedophile. Not even close. After my partner passed away several years ago, I just work and have not even pursued a relationship [and if I will in the future it would never be with a young person, anyway], so it's stupid to be so judgemental. Let's at least give the viewers the benefit of the doubt, as well as the people that created this show. No one is trying to promote pedophilia here. That's just an irrational point of view, and one that seeks to create a problem where none exists.

I just don't believe he couldn't control himself. He's able to still have sex with her which requires some conscious thought. It's just not believable, and the writers should have been more sensitive. I agree that they tried to create a grey area here, but they did not succeed. He's still got a goofy smile on his face while he's doing this which is actually quite misplaced [it should be considered to be sinister]. Again, I hate that he's given the free pass to forget everything in the morning. This hardly happens in real life - there is no such thing as this complete level of amnesia.
