Gaahhh, this is so bland. I’ve never seen a BL that had so little going on after 5 episodes. The story comes from a novel, and usually novelists are good at coming up with dramatic plots, but this one has totally got nothing in it. I still love Keam and every scene with him becomes very elevated. Keam is very mysterious and he also has a lot of charisma. He is very sexual as well and moves like a sexy panther from scene to scene. Nothing in this series is even close to being as interesting as him so far. Kaownah is very weird in this drama. His acting is stilted and jarring. It’s kind of strange because he really is a talented actor and I just wonder if someone told him to play this character like someone with autism, or some weird mental disorder [not picking on anyone with mental health issues here], and to what purpose, I have no idea. I think the series is going for trope perfection, introducing two toxic female leads, but I don’t even really care about that. It’s just that it’s got nothing beyond the tropes. Sigh, at least Bbomb had his shirt off for a good amount of time this episode, and there were a lot of hugging scenes. I liked the hugging in front of the other boys at the sleepover party. That was kind of new, actually – maybe the best thing in this episode.

Can we have Phuwins full version of fish upon the Sky ost please . It would fit perfectly in the end of the series…
He's a pretty talented musician. He speaks three languages, plays two instruments and sings. I'm beginning to think he is a little Renaissance man. Here are some pictures of him in the Sound of Music. It's cute seeing an all Thai cast here in this very German play https://youtu.be/TIADiJrzs8I?t=202. I'm not a fan of musicals but they are very hard to perform. Phuwin is definitely made for showbiz.

Also let's not forget that young brother manipulated his elder brother into a relationship by threatening him…
Thank you for responding to this guy. I generally avoid this type because I feel they have no sense of fairness or decency. I think it's so crazy because if this was a straight drama no one would even be talking about these issues. Gay people aren't saints. I don't know why some people feel a need to portray them that way. We would have all BL's in a monastery with celibate monks if they had their way.

Bwahahaha yo? I can not with you .... Right on the money. That scene was definitely a bit of a head scratcher…
I would love for Bbomb to kiss me, consent or no consent [No consent would be hotter]. Don’t worry I won’t let him rape me.

You've been pretty nice so don't take offense I'm just joking around :-)

I think we need a sex contract for these kind of things. I've drawn one up so if anyone wants to add some formal structure to this process, please let me know. As an example, I have here section III, article 4, condicil a: From the hours 9 AM to 5 PM no physical intimacy allowed, only verbal communication with minor sexual imagery[refer to footnote 3], from 5PM - 10PM minor touching, petting permitted, long stares, lascivious stares permissible pending review of weekly behavior log. 10:00 – 10:30 dry kiss permitted, Minor Frenchie permitted only if exemplary behavior status is achieved, Major Frenchie permitted if outstanding behavior status is achieved [refer to footnote 19 and 20], 10:30 – 11:00 Sexual incursions minor through major, permissible upon superlative and magnificent superlative status [I’m sorry to say most of you won’t achieve this].

Most of you will want a penalty table which I’ll include at no extra charge.
Section IX, article 8

Ingesting 1 alcoholic beverage of greater than 5% alcoholic content after 9:00 PM, consequently followed by any sexual activity is to be considered statutory rape. Please place offending party in stockade [to be purchased separately, now in 12 beautiful colors], for 3 days.

Just so you know I have all the bases covered [kudos to me], I’ve included a section of all the problematic movie content that will help redeem your loved one from moral purgatory:

Watching unauthorized kiss on Nitiman, episode 4, by malefactor Bbomb. Offending party to be placed in stockade for 3 days with additional penalties to be added by SJW Committee of the Whole, upon further review. Please refer to list of torture devices provided in Appendix A.

Watching Thantype, BL starring the loathesome Mew Suppasit and the diabolical Gulf Kanawut. 3 months in sex reeducation camp to be presided over by the SJW Lieutenant Commandant of the EastAsia sector. We offer hygienic facilities with 3 meals of gruel per day.

Isn’t this great?! I tailored this contract for the SJW’s. Do I know them, or do I know them? I know them.

I completely agree with this. Pi is someone with no friends and who seems to get bullied on a continuous basis…
He has shown remarkable resilience. He even has a nice playful side, like when he and Mork went on their first date, or when he's horsing around with his brothers. He did stand up for himself and that is the first step to getting over bullying. I'm glad they portrayed that in the last episode.

Right, I will say that I 100% agree with all the positive points you make. (I also love your comments about Meen…
Thank you, as well. I'm a real romantic myself so maybe I just think of courting naturally and certainly think it's a nice custom that gay people can adopt. When I say we are being coddled I'm referring to how in other dramas they don't worry so much about some moral issues that are going on in the drama. I like to use the example of Game of Thrones because it is so well known. Most people that discuss that series don't keep talking about how all this gratuitous violence occurs, but just how good the character development or world-building was. It seems like on MDL we talk about these moral issues instead of the artistic merits of the show, and my belief is that this occurs because you can't represent unethical behavior performed by gay people because that makes gay people look bad - that's the coddling I'm talking about.

But I completely agree with you on your point that people are unnecessarily harsh on the gay characters here. That seems like a conundrum, but both things are going on. We're bashing the overall nature of the character of Mork by criticizing his poor choice to put their relationship on public display through social media. It's like gay people aren't allowed to perform even minor indiscretions whereas a straight character can get away with rape, murder, etc. . I think you were saying pretty much the same thing when you're saying that if Mork was dating a female Pi the attacks on Mork wouldn't be so harsh. It's like hanging the gay character for a minor traffic violation when the straight character can get away with serial murder. I grew up in the same world as what you're talking about where there was rampant homophobia and you have to wonder if this whole thing we're seeing on here is an unconscious manifestation of that or a new iteration of the old homophobia in a new format.

Sometimes Pi's indecisiveness, incoherence and reluctance to accept his feelings for Mork can be frustrating,…
I completely agree with this. Pi is someone with no friends and who seems to get bullied on a continuous basis so he seems like an extreme case to me. A lot of teens in his situation are even much worse off than this and become suicidal. The prevalence of Major Depressive Disorder is twice what it is in older populations and Pi certainly seems to have a lot of the symptoms. We forget also that gay teens are even worse off than straight ones, because the lack of acceptance is even greater [5 times more likely to commit suicide and far higher levels of depression].

Because it is a drama we are accelerating the process. It normally would take years of therapy. I've forgotten, myself, about his situation, so it's good for you to leave yourself a memo. Sometimes we're watching tv and forget how it is related to the real world.
On Fish upon the Sky May 31, 2021
Is there anything that SJW's and their friends, supporters and associates have to say that is important to listen to? It really is worth delving into. How about Mork being a bad boy and exposing Pi on Social Media? I completely agree that this is bad behavior. Let's just keep score here SJW's and friends, you get a point here. But you lose everything in the next round. It doesn't matter because this is art and you need to have flawed people to create drama otherwise no one will watch your movie, play, etc. It doesn't matter what bad things Mork did unless it is boring and uninteresting and doesn't make you want to turn the page. I just can't understand why you people don't understand this.

I completely agree, Mork did a bad thing. He made a big boo-boo. But if you are 90% good in life that is all that matters. I would love to have Mork courting me and so would you, so stop whining about how he is courting Pi. Pi is blessed to have such an attractive and mostly saint-like suitor. I know Pi is damaged. I get it. I know all about bullying at schools from a professional perspective. A lot of teens commit suicide due to bullying and it is absolutely no joke. Teens can't think their way out of the black box of an environment where they are bullied day and night. Mork is making a mistake by not being sensitive enough about what Pi has gone through. He's not perfect and at that young age, hardly anyone has nearly perfect moral sensibilities. You expect the impossible.

You guys have a knee-jerk reaction to anything you see on here that even resembles an ethical issue. I don't honestly understand why you care what happens in a fictional drama so much. No one cares in other genres. Do you think gay people are fragile butterflies that need to be coddled? I have no idea why you go on and on about what fictional characters do. I want my characters to be naughty, and so do you, but you just don't understand yourselves, in my opinion. What you should really be delving into is whether this is good art or bad? Does that make sense to you? I appreciate any feedback.

LOL I appreciate your enthusiasm. I think you are being too specific, young padawan. I want all content that is problematic cleaned up. Please do not limit yourself to this very narrow window of moral purity. You should delve into the upper strata of moral decadence. Please cleanse the impure of all their moral turpitude outside of the forbidden kiss depicted in this villainous drama. I am glad you are very plump because the amount of work here will require several millenia.
On Top Secret Together May 31, 2021
Really a nice drama. It feels a little bit more natural than a lot of the others. I like Both and Newyear being in here representing a real gay couple - we hardly have any in BL because it's all about the straight boys chasing after each other [which I have no problem with, but it's nice to have some balance]. This is a beautiful cast. I almost don't need any dialogue, yet the acting is actually quite good.

Poor Phob. It's always tough to be in a one-sided love situation, and he portrayed the heartbreak of that situation so well. I would be so annoyed with Eak, even as a friend, for ignoring me completely like that. It's like he's saying I have no time for our friendship because I have to chase after this girl full-time now.

This is a believable drama that has some nice sets, a really handsome cast, and a nice positive vibe to it. I'm pleasantly surprised. It's not outstanding, but it's pretty decent, overall.

OMG, the kissing on here is so much better in the behind the scenes clip. Who edited this out! Nitiman would have gone from a 2 to a 9 in my book if they had kept this in: https://youtu.be/sr1QOEH8rKo?t=187

I love that acting coach in here. "Remember bite his lower lip, let's twist your heads while kissing, and look into each other's eyes." What a professional! I just disagree with him about the no tongue part but maybe we're saving that for the finale X)

I completely understand where you are coming from, and thank you for your response. Most dramas do not deal with the solutions to ethical issues. I'm sure you're familiar with Game of Thrones and the innumerable crimes against various characters that occurred there. My opinion, is that in dramas you let every evil action be depicted and the audience can take away a lesson from it.

I'll take your examples one by one. In Tonhon Chonlatee, the main character is almost raped, but let's say it even went further and he actually got raped and the character who committed the rape got away with it. This happens in a lot of straight dramas, of course, including Game of Thrones. I think we just let the audience learn from it trusting they can draw their own conclusions. From the earliest dramas like Oedipus Rex where the character kills his father and marries his mother, we see terrible events occurring and the authors assume by depicting them we know to avoid the actions of the protagonists in the drama. The authors assume the audience can draw theses conclusions on their own. In My Day, Moire is actually forgiven and learns, in some way, the error of her ways. She didn't go to jail like she should have, so I get your point there but this is a kind of redemption arc seen in a thousand Hollywood dramas where the villain is redeemed and is totally forgiven without having to go to jail. Yong Jie did not actually rape his brother. That was consensual sex that occurs even when people are inebriated. His brother initiated sex after he woke up from his drunken stupor. I'm not excusing it, but rape, when it occurs is nothing like what occurred but let us assume that it did happen in this case. It's just the same scenario I've been talking about. The audience can learn from it. The director, screenwriter doesn't have to explain it to them. In a way this is condescending.

A lot of bad guys do pay for their wrong doings in a thousand different dramas, but many do not. It is not, in my opinion, important that all bad guys get their comeuppance. If at the end of any drama, one of them doesn't that might even leave a stronger impression on the audience to right a wrong in the real world that was depicted in the drama. I see no issue with that.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on that. Please feel free to continue the discussion or if you want to end it here, that is fine. I don't have any problem with your opinion and I think if you're not planning on boycotting the publishing houses, there really isn't much of relevance that we're disagreeing about.

I appreciate your opinion. It's good to have an honest civil discussion about these issues. I know, sometimes, I can make a comical comment about the topic but I definitely respect other people's opinions and definitely try to learn from them. I think where we agree is BL's shouldn't be scrubbed clean. I also think it is impossible to make any impact on this industry.

Honestly the ladies that write this fiction love these taboo topics and their audience likes them as well. The writers know what their market wants. I think that we can't dictate our concerns to them. They want to make money and their consumers want this kind of content.

Of course we could get the government involved and also boycott the publishing houses, but is that really necessary? I'm a gay man, and believe the gay dramas have a lot worse than the BL. I would ask you to look at some of them because they are a lot worse. 30 years of Adonis, or Dream of the Red Chamber are just off the charts worse than anything in BL. There are so many more examples in gay drama. You would have to censor so much to get to the level of moral purity you are talking about and I guess I'll have to agree to disagree with you on that kind of censorship. Also, a ton of genre's have all of this same kind of content including a lot of KDrama's and many of the classics in Western movies [and international classics]. I know we aren't talking about gay dramas here but why should gay dramas have privileges that straight drama's don't.

Gay people should be treated with sensitivity and I appreciate your consideration. But it is impossible to impose such a solution, in my opinion. I'm for the free expression of art. Any bad behavior shown on tv or any other medium is just something you can learn from. You don't have to take it as "propaganda" or as some form of instruction.

Thank you again for your response, and I hope you get where I'm coming from.

IDK. Absolute monogamy is kind of the BL thing. As for me, I’m kind of hoping the main couple gets erased somehow…
LOL, that's ok, we'll make our own one day. We'll recreate Nitiman into something so much more visceral and sexually explorative. BL's will never be the same - we are going to explore the dark underbelly. BTW, there was a 3 way in 3 Will Be Free, so it's not totally new territory.

I don't know why you guys care that BBomb kissed Jin without his consent. It makes you queasy I know. It's ok, babies, you'll survive. Just take some Advil and sleep it off. You'll be fine, the world will still revolve around the sun, and rainbows will still appear in the sky. Human beings aren't perfect, and movies have a lot worse in them than this. Oh no, a fictional character did what again? It's ok, the 10 year old kids watching Nitiman have seen a lot worse. Unfortunately no one took the precautions of scrubbing all of the shows in Hollywood and the rest of the drama world. Unforgiveable! Can you guys on here get to work on the millions of other movies that have this kind of unacceptable content. Thank you! Much appreciated!

Shame on you for even watching this series, and shame on me for finishing episode 2. But I really love that kid at the end dragging Teenoi across the floor. Ok, the only real interesting thing in this show so far is Keam. If you just look at all his interactions, just block out the rest of the show, it's really complex. Who knows what the hell is going on here? The rest of the show is utterly predictable, but Keam, is, so far, really intriguing like nothing else in this show. I'm hoping for a polyamorous relationship which would be quite innovative, but something really interesting is going on which is the only thing that separates this show from your plain vanilla BL. Hopefully the show really delivers something interesting with him because the set up has been really fascinating.
