I think this is either going to go one of two ways for Ju Yeon. 1.) He will find out about Eun Ho's split personality…
Assuming that there's no weird time jumps happening, Hye Yeon's visitor was neither Ju Yeon or Hyeon O. Ju Yeon was commuting between Seoul and Busan that night where he saw Hyeon O at Eun Ho's. Based on Ju Yeon's taxi fare I assume the distance between the two cities is substantial enough that neither was sleeping over at Hye Yeon's that night. The way they hid his face suggests we know who it is. Lets see I guess. I also slightly suspect that that conversation may be a misdirection, but I can't explain it, lol.
Also, a completely inconsequential but tedious detail- Hui Yeon was Ji Hyuk's younger sister in MMH. They had the same dad.
I guess we'll find out soon enough, but anyone have any speculations about whether Ju Yeon is going to make a spectacularly messy move in his current state of despair because yiiikes.
I assume we're going to get a Hyeon O pov episode soon where they're going to try to explain where he's coming from because no way a ML is going to get such an ambivalent edit with that synopsis.
Did Father Andreas and A Ri not get together? I forwarded a lot of talking, lol. I assumed because it looked like he moved on from being a priest and they went to the wedding together.
Why did the commissioner order for Deputy Park Jin Woo to be killed? And secondly in the post credit scene who…
In case you still wondered about it, the turtle who tortured Tae Joo and her husband was Kim Gang Wook (the agressive detective in his team who Jang Hae Ryong shot and killed in the second episode). Someone (I forget who, maybe Turtle 3?) tells her that subconsciously she knew from the start that it was him (I think when he says that line about humanity) but she ignored it because she couldn't have had revenge if he was already dead.
He did it because she was secretly reinvestigating Young Goon's mother's murder. They had found DNA that they hadn't been able to test when the murder happened. And she wanted to try testing it with new technology. They wanted to get the evidence from her because it would have shown up as Hae Ryong's DNA.
In a drama which had 4 couples (!!!) and a wedding I dont know how they managed to have the least romantic final episode ever. I mean I guess the post cards were cute but I was distracted with how forced that separation was. Mi Eun really needs to just give other people advice and not talk about her personal life because good grief. And what was that scene? Gang Hoon just randomly shows up in his uniform to stand like a statue grinning. Was he even there? Did So Jin's sister really not see him? The cringy wedding was 100% on brand.
Everyone tried hard this episode but I think I have mentally checked out this week so I couldn't help laughing everytime there was any emotion. (I guess it also helps that we had quite a good idea of what to expect. And this isnt tragic high-drama). Gang Hoon's DNA lover connection needs work if it took him so long and Father Andrea's help to find So Jin.
Good work, guys, just one more episode to go before we're free! It looks like we're getting some kind of reunion-ish episode where they tie up loose ends, basically.
They completely wasted any potential the second leads had by having them chasing the leads all through the drama before remembering that they probably should pair up the spares. Gang Hoon's dad will be pleased, but imagine the awfully awkward double dates/family dinners, lmao.
To the people who want the FL to end up with the 2ML. The show is presenting the 2 personalities as separate people…
Also, I think that they've been pretty clear that (rightly or wrongly) for Eun Ho, Hyeon O is it. Irrespective of all the hurt between them. Otherwise she'd have moved on with Ji On by now. (Ofc I know Hyeon O himself also helps sabotage Ji On).
I've always thought that the Hye Ri/Ju Yeon relationship is (too) perfect because its kind of a fantasy. To me, the only way Ju Yeon has a chance is if the Hye Ri personna manages to cannibalise Eun Ho (which yikes).
I'm not a fan of the parallel love plots because I think it distracts from what's going on with Eun Ho who at this point is my favourite, even though shes such a messy character.
I'm probably the only one but I'm loving the story of Eunho and Hyeono!
I'm interested in how quickly their relationship shifted back to being warm and almost playful after the first few episodes where they're so adversarial.
I know it won't last, because we're barely halfway through the drama but it should be nice to have a lighter Eun Ho.
I find lots of people be like straight up hating Hyeon O before actually giving him a chance or wait for his story…
I'm reserving judgement on Hyeon O for the time being. Although that could be because my unpopular opinion is that I'm generally meh about Ju Yeon- in fact I think I prefer Ji On to Ju Yeon, lol.
I think it's also important to remember that so far we've only really seen Hyeon O through Eun Ho's pov. And her pov is tainted by their past and the hurt feelings and the baggage they share. I think Hyeon O could communicate better but Eun Ho is also constantly on the defense around him and immediately reacts to what she may think is a slight. I think the pressure of their jobs and the scrutiny they're under has made things even worse. Hyeon O isn't Ju Yeon, but Eun Ho has baggage that Hye Ri has the luxury to not have.
So yeah, I guess I'm waiting to make my mind up. I do hope they don't drag out the love non-triangle (because I don't know what shape you have there) and we get to focus on the healing (of people who aren't Ju Yeon) and maybe the mystery of what happened to Hye Ri.
Idk if it's the writer intention or what, but JY&HR set up/ choice of words and acts I find really odd and creepy…
This is my biggest question about this drama, lol. I don't know whether I'm completely interpreting this wrong or if it's intentional but that relationship really makes me uncomfortable. It's like a tropey, melodramatic teen-romance on steroids. And its like, we're not supposed to get behind this, are we?
I don't want SML with SFL, why she should be with FL best friend? She has already FL mother as mom and FL mother…
It's an Asian drama, so she's not going to cut ties with her mother. In fact, I'd say there is a super emotional reunion coming soon given that the mother has cancer and is starting to have regrets. And since So Jin has been shown as starved for love, she's going to forgive her. Maybe not satisfying but that's likely what's going to happen.
I laughed so hard at the part where you said the mains didn't need the second leads to cause problems, they indeed…
You're right, Yeon U is the only one who has made any progress. He's a lot less annoying since they broke up. I also thought that he could have been less nice to Mi Eun early on but tbh the only reason Mi Eun was a problem in their relationship was because So Jin was either being insecure or running around like a headless chicken on some ridiculous mission. I think So Jin got a pass because she didnt realise Gang Hoon was interested in her but they have such an enmeshed relationship.
No waaaay. LMAO. I was so confused why they were going all twelfth night. I think this is basically how i watch this drama now- instead of questioining the subtitles I just believe that the man they're showing is actually a woman because there's no reason why that isn't possible.
SFL giving the right advices how let go of someone not into you and then not following her own advices...
I've noticed that generally she gives good relationship advice. Unless it involves her, then she completely loses her mind. I was offended for So jin when she was calling her strange- because who are you? Even tho I'll be the first one to call the FL a nut.
The delusion runs so deep in these people. I thought oh 2FL has had her realisation today. No of course she hasn't- why would anyone in this drama have any personal growth. Although, some credit to ML he's taken a few steps forward.
Also, side eyeing Gang Hoon's love for FL when he treats her like a child, doesnt tell her anything that's going on but tells her ways to protect herself with 0 context. How could this possibly go wrong?
That very brief scene with the 2FL and 2ML was kind of cute. Its the least annoying they've both been in the last few weeks. If only they'd given us more of that instead of those two awful triangles. The mains didn't even need the second leads to cause problems in their relationship- they do a great job of it themselves.
Also, that twist at the end! Bet no-one predicted that, LMAO
YES, LMAO. I cant stop laughing. They couldn't go with the usual secret evil twin trope (for whatever reason) so this was how they decided to change it up a little. They're having the same actor play both Andrea and the twin, right? Which is certainly a choice.
Also, a completely inconsequential but tedious detail- Hui Yeon was Ji Hyuk's younger sister in MMH. They had the same dad.

Well its neither, lmao, he has an evil twin SISTER who is setting the fires.
