hmmmm all this time she was not that happy with her husband at this point she should just simply divorce instead…
Yeah... its been so tortured and toxic that it's starting to look like no-one is going to get a very happy end because there's been so much damage. I'm keeping expectations low- Pie gets divorced and free of her mum. Maybe she starts a business with her bff.

They're really showing differences in parenting here, aren't they? Pie's mother is determined to ruin her completely. Awful woman. And on the other hand we have Rok's very wholesome parents talking her down and grounding her.

That's his declaration that he is interested in her and that is his true feeling. And I felt he answered the reporter…
I think thats what exhausts me about this one, lol. The haters are stupid but relentless.

You're right, the boss needs to handle his life and he needs to do it himself. I think he's been relying on Mook for emotional support and he has to be seeing how horribly that went. I don't think he even likes Mook romantically really, tbh. I think she represents an idealised version of the happy family life he wants and its easier to go along with that rather than doing the hard and messy job of leaving his actual wife and trying to find someone new.

Yeah... I know you're right that it is above board but the way the other characters in their world just throw accusations around, does it even matter? Like the boss' wife is just unhinged in how she keeps coming up with a new angle.

Thought it was starting to get a little boring, except for Ploy's obviously evil husband, but gasp what do they mean he has someone else?
This better not be how they introduce Lena

Running away is okay. But it doesn't solve the problem. Moreover, she's a single mom who needs to consider her…
You're right! Marrying the wrong person is such a mess especially when there are children involved- as we're seeing play out with her boss' storyline again. I think that couple has major incompatibilities but its such a mess because he's running away from it and she finds it easier to blame a third person. Boss dude looks like he's going to have a harder time with divorce because it looks like his wife is connected. I also don't really blame Mook for that situation either tbh. Yes they need better boundaries possibly but the whole work place isn't great with personal boundaries. But its mainly the boss who trails behind her with wide heart eyes and making things difficult for Mook.

And now we're seeing her friend who decided she was going to be practical about marriage also marry the wrong guy, because that dude is sus af.

Lol, so we're going to fake date (real date?) to protect Mook from the husband stealing rumours but we don't care that this is going to ruin both sides' professional credibility since the two companies are signing a contract.

I do kind of admire Mook's spirit, the way she constantly deals with all kinds of people attacking her character from different angles. I would've long run away from it all.

Also, can they stop giving the annoying ex mother in law any air time. Show us more of the cute kids, instead!

I feel this show didn't age well. Being released 4 years later really shows. I'm at ep 3 and the way this show…
The one thing this has going for it is that it's a pretty easy watch and kind of amusing in how ridiculous it is. But gosh the characters are ALL so messy! And three (or 4 but Mook's ex is a complete deadbeat) of them are supposed to be parents! But so far the kids are just there so the parents can be messy at school as well as work.

The relationship web is so complicated, and we haven't even met Lena's character yet! (I think she fits with separated boss man- who really needs to to focus more on his failing business and his son and really doesn't need anymore women in his life right now)

The way it's going Mook's two friends are going to end up fighting over the engaged ones fiance, lol.

So a disclaimer- I haven't seen today's episode because I'd rather watch them back to back.But from a storytelling…
True, she is the female lead- but in terms of the central revenge theme she's not really a player in that, right? So there has to be a reason they kept her so involved in Han Young's plot when they also took the creative decision to drop other female characters from the drama adaptation entirely.
(Me trying to reason why they can't ruin my favourite character at the end, lol)

Oh I didn't mean that he's testing her. I don't think he has the right to do so, either.
But I think he has always been cautious about her and that when things get difficult she'll sell him out. I think they could throw in a grand gesture from her to show that See Hee now is different from in the past.

if they don't end up together i am not watching the last episode. actually he didn't show interest in her that…
One of the discussions on here has been why Han Young (in the past) even expected that See Hee would stand by him at personal expense after he dumped her. And I've agreeed with that but its also true that lying on the stand is a bad, bad thing to do. Ideally, a good person stands by what is right even if its at a personal expense. Even if its your ex-husband who dumped you.

But with the position they've put See Hee in now, if she has a change of heart and she wants to stand up for what's right- it will come at a personal expense- she'll have to confess to planting evidence too. Even if Han Young doesn't love her back. So she does the right thing for doing the right thing, which shows that shes also changed for good. And everyone lives happily ever after...

after all that development, she chose to betray him again. all my hope got thrashed by the writer. i m really…
So a disclaimer- I haven't seen today's episode because I'd rather watch them back to back.

But from a storytelling point of view, I kind of see the point of what's happened and I think it might not even be a bad thing. Ever since he's gone back Han Young has been pretty hesitant about See Hee because of their past- he wants to give her a chance but shes also not part of his A team. And they have to give See Hee a test of some sort for Han Young (and the audience members who find her iffy still) to accept that she's different from before. I've always thought there's been too much of a focus on See Hee (in the drama and in promotional material) for what her character is, so there has to be some kind of satisfactory end there for all the talking we've done about whether people can change. Of course Han Young has always known See Hee is the weakest link so I imagine he'll have a plan for that too.

Of course, I may be overly intellectualising this, its not that deep, and betrayers gonna betray. In which case, it was kind of pointless focusing on a supporting character who your male lead was barely luke warm towards.

There is the second pre-release, lol.

I feel like the See Hee pre-releases are a calculated move on their part- because even though I like See Hee, she is a somewhat minor sub plot, tbh.

false testimony is not ethical , stranger or not , her father was corrupt as well, and being in a bad relationship…
The thing is, they show him wanting to change in the first episode, but its been very clear that he has had about 10 YEARS of being incredibly corrupt and making all sorts of backroom deals. He benefited immensely from this corruption financially and professionally. He was also double dealing and making deals behind his father in law's back and skimming even more money.
When you're that far corrupt, you don't get to say actually changed my mind, I'm not going to follow the company line and here is your daughter back too because theres no point in staying with her.
He was dealing with people who faked the suicide of a son to save his father's career.
What did he think would happen to him? He'd get to start his little botique law office after what he did and knew? It wasn't personal, it was just the business he was part of.

Yep the only reason the lawyer changed sides to become witness for prosecution was because KSJ told him to and reassured him he would be protected if he did so. Only ofc he didn't mean that.

KSJ is basically playing to get everyone out of his way, but also he doesn't want the entire corruption scheme to be revealed because he wants to take over it.

They always thought that the S shopping man was going to come after Jin A, so they were on high alert until he got arrested. When he was finally arrested he offered Jin A a "final chance" to work with him which she found weird but she told Han Young who then realised that in the week before the arrest he was looking for someone to do the killing so he could hear the good news in jail.

Kang Sin Jin ordered the hit- because he had conspired with him to bring down the family. So while yes he was working with the prosecution, KSJ only wanted him to cooperate to a point- then he was a liability and could come back to bite KSJ and his involvement

He also has promised the law firm to See Hee (I assume he does mean it) so he may plan on removing the rest of the family from it.
I don't see See Hee being particularly upset about her father being sent to jail, lol.

Also- I'm a little surprised the law firm isnt a bigger player in the corruption storyline. In the first episode See Hee's dad was introduced as this mastermind villain but he barely has an impact this time around.

I don’t think se hee was that bad in her previous life. Judging from her interaction with her mother in law…
It's weird, Han Young is so introspective about all the relationships from his previous life but he's weirdly lost on See Hee. And I don't get it, really. He needs to make up his mind.

Nothing we saw regarding their relationship in the past suggested Han Young should have expected loyalty from See Hee. Did he really expect that the woman he told he was divorcing (without caring about her opinion at all) because he refused to work with her father anymore would go out of her way to support him at personal expense?

And was he acting all mushy and sweet at that restaurant because Park Sin Jin would hear about it?
