Exadtly, and it definitely seems hollow if you then also want to give him the best plot armor ever seen. Like if he's that good at influencing people and "business" then why isn't he aiming any higher?

I think that's the main issue for me. I don't have particularly discerning taste. Bad acting, ridiculous plot twists I can get get through all that as long as I'm entertained. But for this one, I never really understood the core premise- InHa always seemed surplus to the plot.

TaeOh and for that matter HyeWon too are shown to be capable, clever people so I don't get why they were both convinced that InHa would be their way out? In TaeOh's case I don't even really understand what his goal was! And in the end they got where they are despite InHa! But they were well on their way before the second time jump while InHa was still a nobody at KangOh. It was more work to carry InHa to the top than themselves. The only thing InHa really did (in my eyes, other people may disagree) is that he basically poisoned their relationship potential.

Also, I dislike wasted foreshadowing, too many people came on and said cryptic things and acted with unclear motivations and none of it went anywhere!

He could have been pseudo-adopted by the chairman 5 years ago if he hadn't been carrying InHa's crazy ass.

To echo what everyone else is saying, theres been no mention at all of the stepfather. Considering he seemed to be such a driving force for TaeOh and his mother being on the run it seems weird that he has made 0 moves for revenge since the time his goons chased them to the bus stop.

I think the chairman was just making a point about how completely he's disinheriting him. He also told InHa that he was going to go back to being Baek InHa.

Of course, the writers may surprise us lol. In which case the chairman was a bigger idiot than we thought if he did everything he did knowing the truth.

Also, considering that one ghost did actually burn her hair, the ghosts can actually be a threat to them physically.

That's true, that scene between HyeWon and her ended strangely abruptly, but I got the impression that she wasn't able to get in touch with TaeOh.
So either she told HyeWon what actually happened, which seems unlikely or HyeWon did get her in contact with TaeOh (which is also not obvious, but I never understand HyeWon and maybe Huiju's threat worked)

There was also this weird scene where TaeOh goes back to the chairman's place and imagines him submerged in the tub. But he shouldn't know that because Huiju found the chairman and she told everyone that she found him collapsed on the floor, right?
Maybe TaeOh has discovered a new power while he was trying to remember who killed InJu.

I am going through episodes very quickly so I get stuck on the teeny tiny details that I do pick up, lol

So I'll admit it, even though I've not enjoyed the second half I am intrigued by the promo for 11/12.

The business plans and schemes are going to be largely nonsense and very contrived. There probably won't be more character development than what we already have and TaeOh will probably continue to have plot armour. But if they can make it zippy and not weigh me down in boring romance plots it might be a fun time.

But the promo has raised questions in my mind: Is TaeOh sitting at the chairman's dinner table there? Did the chairman survive? Could TaeOh team up with Seungju and his mama just to beat InHa? Was that Huiju's voice we heard in the promo for a change? Why is TaeOh bringing down his planning board that he didn't follow; was he successful? From the english translation it seems like he just wants to make sure InHa doesn't get what he wants so does that mean HyeWon no longer wants to own KangOh?

This drama is a roller coaster! So after so many episodes of the love triangle of doom now we'll have two final episodes of InHa vs. TaeOh (and the chairman?) vs. Seungju and his mama. We could have had three different shows with this material at this point.

There was a shot of a damp-eyed TaeOh with a wobbly lip, I imagine he's upset about HyeWon for whatever reason. He also appears to be dismantling his board of plotting, which was essentially useless because the man couldn't follow a single plan.

She also seems to be the only person who actually loves the chairman outside of what he can do for her. Who is another red flag, lol. Yes, TaeOh is responsible for bringing in InHa and HyeWon but the chairman gave him an opening because he wanted to play games with his children. And he'd still rather play games instead of just being the chairman! He's probably not even going to die, lol so KangOh might not even need an heir at this stage, impossible or not.

I did wonder that for a minute too! But I think this time its real because Huiju was the one who brought him in and has been sitting worried by his bedside. And she seems to be unrelated to all the plans going on.

Unless the big twist is that Huiju is actually the real player here running everyone, lmao.

Even then, they were never clear on how making InHa chairman would give TaeOh power and money. They show him as this capable dude who is still winning overall even though he's been betrayed/been imprisoned he could have gone far even without InHa.
If only he and HyeWon had run away together back then, lol.
