In fairness he's only gone for people who won't get any repercussions otherwise. The writing for this second part was so often clunky and super expositional and I'm really not sure why. I did try to give it some grace because it had a long season 1 people do get confused easily but when I'm being told the same thing three times I could have just been shown, it gets frustrating. What was the difference between part 1 and 2 in terms of writing I wonder?
I also struggled because it took a long time for anyone to learn any of the lessons they should probably have learned from season 1 / Jung Gang including the harm in magical and identity secrets so it felt like the end of part one was a little wasted. I also empathised with the characters less because of it. Plus imo they underused Dang Gu/Cho Yeon given their relative power in the story and overused Master Park. Like, we get it, his food is bad. 😂
I did really like the friendship and familial aspects just as much as in the first part and I think the FL actress was delightful and bright. It was nice to see a girl with a history of so much pain get to express some real light and wonder there, even just for a while.

Read my comment again. I already say she does apologise but the things she says in the breakup are all about Taes culpability and not any of her own. We see Tae telling her multiple times that he's either busy or she's doing too much (see the time she broke the hard drive and the interns decided to do hijinks to try and fix her mistake). Yes, Tae acknowledges he should have been more attentive but she never acknowledges that she was frequently overbearing and overstepping.

The Trainee to me is an excellent example of what happens with good direction. Because OffGun who we know have chemistry as a pair genuinely have more connection and chemistry in one scene here than in pretty much the whole of Cooking Crush and it shows from how people are craving more of the two of them.
As for the whole Tae / Bha Mee situation I'm so annoyed that the both of them just agreed that it was all Taes fault. What? There was no discussion at all about how overbearing BMs expectations were or how she didn't listen when he communicated to her and didn't talk to her about these feelings just went off and cheated. And for her to spend her anniversary giggling and sitting eating lunch with the person she cheated with and STILL end the relationship only thinking about herself. Ugh. I had hoped this ep would make me understand her better but instead I like her so much less.
