The mother-daughter moments in eps 11 and 12 were so great. I admire Seungwan so much for sticking to her principles. Her mom is amazing for supporting her though it must have been difficult.
In episode 6, how are you guys interpreting hari’s expression when minwoo’s girlfriend was clinging onto minwoo…
I saw it as Hari and Young-seo knowing what Yoora's intentions were. Yoora was being a bit back-handed by discrediting the work Hari put into giving Min-woo that opportunity to film a show, and you could Young-seo whispering "What?" right after what she said.
It's possible that Hari might still need closure because it was a 7-year unrequited love, but I really don't think she's hung up on him anymore.
It was so refreshing to watch Kang Tae-mu use his power and money to keep that hidden camera guy in prison and jobless when he was just going to get off with just paying a fine.
Yeah, that's true. Winter drama releases tend to be on the more melo side. Spring drama releases tend to be more light-hearted, so hopefully something pops up for you soon!
It's really okay if you don't enjoy the drama. Everyone has different preferences!
I really needed something light-hearted to watch and feel the drama does a fairly good job with how it presents the cliches in the show. Couple that with lovable characters, cute relationships like Hari and Yeong-seo's, and the meta humor, it provides for an easy watch with good laughs.
There are things that aren't great like how Taemu gave all that extra work for Hari in today's episode. As to why people may like this drama despite some not-so-great moments, I think it depends on how you are as a drama viewer. I personally can enjoy a drama while not liking all aspects of it, but that usually means there are other things about the series that keep me invested.
In your case, though, if you're forcing yourself to watch, it might be better to just drop the show. Watching dramas shouldn't cause you extra stress. Might as well invest that time in a show that matches your taste instead!
I hate that in China they can't have real time travel stories. She'll probably be asleep or something. But how…
For this drama, you should check out the novel then because that might change your perception of this story and how it flows. Don't think the drama is going to have to deviate much from the novel.
Featuring a somewhat historical biography of Yi San (aka King Jeongjo) of Joseon, this drama was more heavily…
The drama was never meant to be a historical drama about San's life. The novel this show is based on wanted to put the well-known story of Yi San and Seong Uibin in the context of the woman's perspective, which is why there was the tagline "The King loved the court lady, but did the court lady love the King?"
I do agree, though, that pacing, proper set up of subplots, etc. were issues.
It's not the age gap but the fact that she is a minor and he is an adult.
I don't think people found issue with Hee-do liking Yijin. It was more if Yijin reciprocated those feelings at this time. I guess the question is even if he doesn't pass that boundary, is it okay for him to have romantic feelings for a high school student in the first place?
I honestly think the issue stems from the writer and director treading this fine line of a romantic and platonic relationship between them. Because viewers see it as one way or the other, there's bound to be disagreements since people interpret the scenes differently.

It's going to air March 19th!
