I had the same exact reaction as you! But other than the idol dying and heroine going back in time, everything is very different. This one is very emotional in comparison.

Ratings can't be taken seriously until a few months after the show ends. A lot of underrated ones start to be appreciated and overrated ones get unbiased ratings after the hype dies down. But this drama certainly deserves more than 8.5 in my opinion. 8.8 would be just right for now.

I was rewatching to get through withdrawal symptoms, and laughed at all the comments mad at Xingzhi for acting like he didn't love Shen Li when they reunited. My girl was still heartbroken after a month of separation but Xingzhi loved her for 30 years and couldn't keep his hands off her from the moment he saw her again. How deep and romantic is that when you think about it.

The only way this can end peacefully is when Dohan chooses to come out willingly. Then they can toss the reporter in jail for blackmail, and our couple can finally be honest about their feelings.
