Whooooo wheeeee. Started my binge last night. It was HARD waiting while seeing some of the comments and trying to avoid major spoilers. I am LOVING this already. Hooked!!
What absolute fun!!! I relished every bloody (figurative and otherwise) second of this show. The dark humor was on point (I laughed my ass off on several occasions), the acting was superb and the fast pace was excellent. Not a minute wasted on triviality or nonsense, just right down to business. I am a fan of dark, violent shows and this one was a buffet of everything I enjoy. Everything hit just right and I was thoroughly entertained.
Bae Doo Na. What can I say? She is an acting powerhouse and in this role she DELIVERED. Psychotic, cold blooded, no nonsense mom, with a heart of gold for her family and a penchant for mind "****ery". haha She was PERFECT. The rest of the cast was great as well. A very well put together small ensemble of misfits and badasses. I loved them all.
A resounding 10/10 for me and I desperately need MORE!
Maybe I am an outlier but I loved this season. When watching the first season weeks after it aired, I was so overwhelmed by the hype and expectation I couldn't relax enough to truly enjoy the ride the way others might have. I binged this and find it highly entertaining and really liked the cast of characters. TOP was off the hinges and as an old school VIP, watching him act bananas was the icing on the cake.
Some called it filler and I disagree (everyone has a right to their opinion) but what is an Oreo/peanut butter cookie without its creamy center? ;-) I think it was a great lead in to the finale, laying important groundwork for what is to come. No disappointment here. Don't go in expecting the same thrills as the first one. This is a fun and different ride all it's own.
If my memory serves me correct, this is the first drama since Kinn Porsche (!!) that I have watched while it is airing. I usually will wait the last day/week of the show to start my binge. I am now ALMOST all caught up and like I stated before WHY did I do this to myself!? Shows like THIS are the reason I am a binger. I. HATE. WAITING . π«π€¬ Grrrrrrrr
Binged consecutively for days and finally completed the series last night. Season one was stellar, two was so so and three came back with the emotional punch from the first season. All in all, this was worth every minute spent watching. Even when the cases were not all that exciting, it was great to watch the cast work together and their camaraderie and teasing etc.
I love Japanese dramas for their minimalism: no huge dramatic scenes, massive explosions and hyped up adrenaline pumping action and yet you feel every emotion, the tension and it all feels VERY real.
I wish there was a season four to see how our merry bunch of SIX are doing!!! It's been a fun ride! Arigatou!
I love this show. It is the first thing to start my day, and my mind is playing with the story whole day long…
It really hits the spot for me where others recently have not, so yes, GREAT escape for sure! I know there will be angst and heartache like real life, but there will also be love, friendship and good overcoming evil so it's all good. π
"Watch just one episode" I said. "To check out the vibes and see if it deserves putting something else on hold" I said. Four episodes later, it is 9a.m. and I am wondering WTF did I just do to myself. I have stuff on hold 'cause my attention span is zilch these days but this show has a choke-hold on me. The last one that did this was The Double. I am invested. Hope my stock doesn't crash. ππ
Yeah, I mean everyone has their preferences and what hits their spot but I am leaning more to your opinion. Sadly, I am not really blown away by the show.
hello! Iβm new to mdl and I wanted to know if thereβs a way to save this custom list? Like I want to have…
I personally just bookmarked the page :) I set up my browser search to use bookmarks so as soon as I type Thai the page pops up with everything Thai that I have saved.
you put dark genre peak on hold to watch more dark genre peak xD
I know!!! I can't watch them together and I made the mistake of not waiting and started watching The Trunk. My nightly viewing habit is as follows: a crime/police/action drama, followed by dark or "mature" drama, followed by a xianxia/historical and I end my night/morning with a BL or rom com. It works for me and my insonmia :)
He was the heart and soul of The On1y One. No discredit to the rest of the cast, they were all great but his embodiment of the role was sublime. It's always the little gestures, the understated actions, facial expressions that are fleeting but carry SO much weight, that make an actor stand out and endear them to me. He would be silent in a scene but his face said/"spoke" SO MUCH! I hope to see a lot more of him!
On episode two and I am LOVING the vibes so far. Always a treat watching people who are masters at their craft. I'm putting The Glory on Hold to binge this! Yum yum!
How this show is so depressing, endearing, baffling, hilarious, emotional, absolutely ludicrous, sweet, painful, full of implausible scenarios all at once is making my head spin. I dread to think what number I will settle on with my rating after this zany ride. It's just... π΅π€ͺππ€£π€π₯°
LOVED IT! Having read the book it was sooo satisfying seeing it brought to life. The chemistry and interactions between the leads NAILED the feeling of angst and hidden yearning while also showcasing how much comfort, love and acceptance they got from one another. I love the portrayal of the different dynamics in the relationships between family, friends/schoolmates. I didn't want it to end. The production is great, cinematography beautiful, the acting so fluid and natural. I hope if there is a second season the same crew and cast are used because this was beautiful. Well done everyone involved in this drama!!! THANK YOU!
