NO offense taken AT ALL at your reply/tone. :) It was very straightforward and matter of fact. I'm actually glad you wrote this because I can now ask about my Redditt account which was going to be my second profile in addition to this one. I used to be very active on the app but I suffered two devastating losses (family members) this year and been in a mental state of not wanting to use social media regularly. It has been about a month since I last used it. How recent does the activity need to be?

I guess I might never watch this. No disrespect to the subbers but I BARELY use social media other than MDL and Redditt very rarely so I can't sign up. The requisite social media activity needed to get access to subs is more than my old ass can provide.
Great show. Unlike others, I'm not sure I need a second season. I like the open ending without everything always tied in a neat and tidy bow. I prefer to create my own idea of the characters' futures with/without a necessarily happy ending. If this show did ONE thing correctly, it was demonstrate that life and justice are messy, good people can commit crimes if pushed to the wall/corner enough and become just like the monsters they chase or purport to be morally superior to. It also shows how sometimes justice is served and at other times, not. Who is right? Who is wrong? IS revenge ever justified if the law fails you abysmally?
I felt for the characters on both sides of the battle. It was disheartening watching a once upright man become more and more immersed in darkness, watching as it overtook his rationale, principles and common sense. At what point is the collateral damage too much to continue? When is the line so far crossed that one cannot turn back? In the end we cannot even say there was a good or bad guy and I really enjoyed this show for that ambiguity. I'm torn between an 8.5 and a 9/10.
The acting was superb, the characters well fleshed out for the most part. I was fully immersed watching two incredible lead actors as fathers battling it out to protect what they cherish the most. I would have liked to see more of Ho Yeong's point of view since he was the catalyst to all the mayhem that ensued; a deeper look into his helplessness and anguish that led to his decision making. I particularly enjoyed Kim Kang Heon's right hand man's performance (forgetting his name as I type). He was fiercely loyal, unrepentant in his commitment to his boss and had zero fucks to give about carrying out your orders. Plus he is easy on the eyes haha
Worth the watch but be prepared to be confused in trying to figure out who to root for. There is no black and white here, no knight in shining armour or horrific villain, only murky darkness shrouded in blood and vengeance.
Currently watching him on Bokura no Shokutaku/Our Dining Table and he steals EVERY SINGLE SCENE he is in. What a SUPER adorable and talented kid. I hope he continues and has a long and illustrious career. So freaking adorable and a natural!

Not earth shattering but there was a quality/vibe to it that really resonated with me. The background score was very instrumental in conveying the moods of scenes which made me enjoy the show more. Bad music in the wrong place or in EVERY scene is a huge pet peeve of mine. It should enhance a scene, not overwhelm it. Not knocking Thai shows (many cdramas), I love many of them BUT that constant slow music in the background sometimes lulls me to sleep/makes a scene boring or becomes overkill when it's a sweet/romantic scene. This was done perfectly.
Cute, short, could have done with less inner monologue, more romance time. Sexy at the right moments, it wasn't overtly graphic while still maintaining eroticism in an NC scene. Tastefully done. I would have given it a higher score but... even though I enjoyed it, it fell short in an inexplicable way for me. Maybe needed a couple more episodes or less time with the flashback? He is not normally that way. He is under great pressure and desperation after having THAT incident happen to him. His body was "abused"/he was drugged, his mental and physical capacity diminished and he is righteously PISSED and on edge. He gets quick control of his faculties though and improves. Give it a second chance.

The password contained eight digits, split between the two men so they could not access it without the other person's half right? So, the prosecutor was actually the one who used the wife's birthday 06/17. I think it was his scummy way of laughing at his friend/mocking his cuckolded friend since he was banging his wife. The last four digits, the ones that are Jun Seo's part of the password was the Friendship day date. Tae Jin, while being their classmate was NOT a member of the Audiophile club so he would have no idea of the importance and relevance of that date. Only the other three would recognize it as being a significant day which is why it (his non existent company titled Audiophile) is mentioned in the Insurance Claim. It was a hint to lead them to the date. Their discussion/reminiscence at the beach then leads them to the password.
What is this good fortune I am having?!?!? I should go buy a lotto ticket. After several disappointing kdrama crime/thrillers I am now 2 for 2 in fantastic watches. First Black Out, now this. Whoo hooooo!! haha Was it perfect, no. But really nothing is these days is, 'cause having seen everything (in terms of plot/premise not shows) it's hard for a drama to truly shock and awe me into using the words perfect or masterpiece. Still giving this a 9/10 for storytelling, acting, thrills and personal enjoyment not technical brilliance.
Back to back shows about the perils of friendship. They can heal, they can kill. It's all in the luck of the draw and sometimes you never know who the wolves in sheep clothing are.
I saw comments (on another site) about people disappointed in the motivations of a particular person who was seeking revenge. You'd be surprised how many BIG things happen from "small" feelings/emotions. Wars are started/have begun from the smallest perceived slights, so that reveal was not anti-climactic or a let down to me. It actually demonstrated how there are different dynamics in friend/relation ships, as those same dynamics were being played out by all involved throughout the show. There was the cute girl everyone adores or wants, the patsy, the leader, the bully, the "wimp", the gofer etc. Everyone had their roles and his was the extra possessive friend. The "mundane" reveal just goes to show how sometimes it's not about bangers and fireworks going off, it's simple human actions causing widespread destruction. Simple pettiness, which we see displayed by many characters throughout the show, can create huge consequences.
This drama was well paced, with little to no frills and fillers. It had morally grey protagonists which I enjoy because their characters are usually so multilayered and add depth to the plot. Till the very end that lady wanted her money, dirty or not lol!
Only complaint was the "justice" dished out to one of the bad guys. Like c'mon man. STOP giving these assholes easy ways out. UGHHHH!!
Perfect, sexy vignettes on love and it's many intricacies, it's endings and beginnings. An absolutely tasty, filling snack depicting mature relationships without being too emotionally burdensome and melodramatic. It was perfect dessert when my insomnia kicked in and I needed something to send me to bed after other heavy lifting, "full plate of serious drama" shows. If you love quick glimpses/bites into love and how it works out or not , this is the perfect fodder for you. Immensely enjoyed. So good!

Absolutely agree with the "more misses" part AND the older thrillers part as well. I have been scouring all the older shows I have yet to watch, to see if I can get over this slump. Tired of glossy production, poor storytelling. 360/480p here I come lol
Cute little palate cleanser between heavy hitting shows. I don't necessarily crave/demand NC scenes, for me the need for them depends on whether or not they are integral to the love story/plot/scenario but man that granita kiss was sublime! It was very sensual, erotic and tastefully done.
Having worked in a restaurant, front and back of the house AND a fan of cooking with basil, I appreciate the kitchen scenes though they are somewhat unrealistic. It's an entertaining enough watch so far (Halfway done).
