I don't think I've gotten through one episode without full blown sobbing. This show is incredible, and even if it's not a BL, the relationships between the core main characters is so good, anyone not watching this is missing out.
This show has had no bad episodes so far. I know this episode probably wasn't what everyone was looking for in regards to furthering the romance but I found myself tearing up multiple times. I've come to care for these characters very much and I loved seeing the boys and their friends getting closer and giving their all at the sports festival. there was just something so sweet and wholesome about it. Solidified with the cast signing scene. This show makes me feel so warm and happy 😊
episode 8 really dropped my a** to the floor with the emotional weight of everything. both hugs this episode were enough to crush an elephant. this show continues to be wonderful.
I swear I must be going crazy but every time the female teacher speaks it looks like her mouth movements aren't matching what she's saying, almost like she's being dubbed over. Am I alone in this? lmfao.
But aside from that, this drama is perfect, I'm loving every second of it.
yeah this is still the best BL ever made, like I'm sorry it's absolutely perfect to me. I just finished my fourth (ha) rewatch and it never fails to make me feel everything.
I love everything about this so far. I'm excited to see how the story plays out and the main trio looks like they are gonna be a lot of fun together ❤️
the first episode was already super fun but the second episode is what REALLY sealed the deal for me. A great dynamic between the main four characters, scary stuff, deeply sentimental story telling, a few intriguing mysteries. I swear if Peach and Home end up actually having some sort of romance this will be a 10/10 for me easily.
this is my favorite JBL in a looooooonngggg time. it's so perfectly plotted and paced and the attention to detail is impressive. I have absolutely zero issues with Maya because 1). a story needs conflict to push it forward and 2.) she's a complex character with her own story. Kouhei and Taichi obviously care so deeply for each other it's such a joy to watch every week, I just wish I didn't have to wait a week ;P
It cannot be overstated how incredible this drama is. the music definitely adds a lot of emotion, but even without it, Tinn and Gun's writing as characters is top notch. the parallels with their equally loving mothers despite vastly different approaches to parent hood, the warmth of friendship from Gun's Club buddies to Tiw the ultimate wing man, the great pacing that makes each episode fly by, not to mention the incredible balance of melancholy, heartfelt, and silly without being overdone. This drama really is one of the best in my opinion, and to say nothing of how great each song is. Wow. This one will always blow me away.
it's unreal how good this show is. Maya is an interesting character for sure. I've seen so many BLs that her existence doesn't even register on my annoyance radar. I like things that push the leads to sit and stew in their emotions so her barreling Taichi and Kouhei's space is a fun way (for me anyways) to watch the boys figure their stuff out. I really have to stop watching weekly shows cus now the wait is gonna be agony.
also A+++ for blushing Taichi, jealous Kouhei, and Taichi's friends pushing him down the hill lmfao.
this season has its flaws for sure but I've genuinely been enjoying it since the start. the plot is pretty messy but I really like the characters and their dynamics which has made it a warm joyful experience to watch every week.
I think people take for granted how hard it is to write consistent characterization and character development when I see people complain about "nothing happening" in this show or how "boring" it is. Being bored is totally valid, but saying nothing is happening is just objectively untrue. This is a character driven slice of life with lots of wonderful subtle character dynamics exploring themes of friendship, family, artistic expression, and love, and sure it sometimes tropes for trope's sake like any standard BL does, but the characters are always ever changing ever so slightly and the story is always peeling back the layers of what makes all these boys tick. Phum and Fang's family trauma. Toey's years of pining through the sticky notes. Just because the show slows down and takes time to establish all these guys as friends having fun and living their lives doesn't mean that "nothing is happening" it's just fleshing out the bonds and the world these boys live in which makes the more impactful moments hit harder. This show wants us to care about these characters in a way I haven't seen done in a BL before and I really admire their willingness to just let us live with them. Also the ChainPun thing at this point is just hilarious to me because their blissful idiocy is just so in line with the tone this show has established. At this point I'm rambling, and it's fine if this show bores the crap out of you or if you are "only here for [insert ship]" but to dismiss the show outright for doing everything it's trying to do just cus the two guys you like didn't kiss enough or there wasn't enough drama is misguided I feel.
this was presented as a lighthearted silly goofy show but the characters have insane depth and all of them are…
I couldn't agree more. As early as the first episode it's apparent that these characters have much more under the surface than what is initially presented but its done in such a subtle natural way that I feel like people take for granted how solidly written all the characters are. I enjoy a silly goofy romcom BL but right away this show established itself as something a bit more.
But aside from that, this drama is perfect, I'm loving every second of it.
