Wow this is really rare to see here on MDL; a GMMTV series rating going up after it ends!! This series definitely…
Given how slowly more and more people are enjoying the series now that it's over, I'm surprised but incredibly happy that the rating went up. To maintain an 8.4 and then go UP after the finale makes my heart swell for SeaKeen. they deserve it. obviously ratings can change but as of now, I feel very happy to see all the love the show is getting :)
This show isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea and that's fine but if you are on the fence about checking out this show, just know that it is an incredibly sweet and gentle romance about two very lovable characters who very clearly deeply love each other. It's not perfect, it has all the trappings of the usual GMMTV BL high school romcom, but there's a real sincerity and genuine pathos to it that I haven't seen in a BL of this nature in a LONG time, and despite what happens on the show, though I found it enjoyable throughout, it's mainly about Moo and Kang and them choosing each other through everything. It's got some goofy antics, some cheesy sound effects, a tiny bit of angst, but mainly it's the sweetest of sugary romances that is well worth checking out if you are just into a lighthearted romance with a big heart and a bigger soul. If you don't mind a bit of tears near the end, watch these wonderful boys find their happiness. ❤️
That was absolutely perfect. I'm not sure I'll ever stop crying. at the end of the day all that mattered to me was seeing Moo and Kang happy. this series became so important to me almost immediately and only got better as it went on. all the love for SeaKeen, I wish them many future projects, hopefully together hehe ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
I want to apologize for the person I become after the finale airs tomorrow. I will haunt this comment section like a ghost, forever missing this wonderful show and it's characters. I love you Moo and Kang. ❤️
the scene with Tan comforting Fang was so incredibly well done. seeing Fang worry over his brother and how much guilt he's felt over it and being insecure about not being worthy of love hits so deeply, and seeing Tan being his absolutely wonderful self to comfort and cheer him up and assure him that he is very loved. wow that's cinema. I love this show.
I don't care about no one's opinion no more. This show means the world to me. Not since deep into Covid depression watching 2Gether have I felt the way this show makes me feel. I'll love and defend Moo and Kang until they put me in the ground. So excited and also completely sick thinking about the finale.
how on Earth could someone watch 11 episodes of this show and think anything even remotely like this? Everything…
they were already familiar with each other and Kang is written as a very kind person. it's not in his character to just drop and ignore Shone. Especially because at the moment Shone is Kang's only real tie to Moo right now since he can't see him in person. I get being upset that Shone is trying to flirt but that's not Kang's fault.
I feel like people get a lot of things confused when it comes to consistent writing and the quality of said writing. People are fully allowed to be upset about the circumstances of the last two episodes but just because things are happening that you specifically don't like doesn't make the show badly written or paced. Moo and Kang love each other deeply and are being faced with a real issue that many real life people face and instead of doing a cop out or doing some kind of fantasy magic, they are showing us the real anguish of trying to do what you think is best for the one you love, because at the end of the day these are still two flawed teenagers who love each other very deeply. Everyone is allowed to feel how they feel, but I've watched hundreds of shows and dramas and from my own personal experience this one has been incredibly paced and written since day one. And I'm tired of seeing people's bad faith takes just because they are mad they aren't getting what they want. Please have hope for the finale and Moo and Kang's beautiful love story.
Moo doesn’t deserve Kang. Moo deserves someone better. Moo doesn’t deserve someone who allows Shone to flirt…
how on Earth could someone watch 11 episodes of this show and think anything even remotely like this? Everything Kang does is for Moo while also focusing on furthering his own dreams AND continously rejecting Shone. I can understand being upset with Shond cud what he is doing is pretty shitty, but Kang has not done one thing to try and lead Shone on.
I love this show so much. There has not been a single minute of this show I haven't enjoyed. Moo ad Kang mean the world to me. I'm devastated that it all ends next week.
making my partner watch this with me (my second time, his first) and MAN it cannot be overstated how incredible this series is. Funny. Romantic. Sentimental. incredible acting and a perfect soundtrack. This really is one of the BL greats. I'm giggling like an idiot every episode.
Just finished episode 9 and I don't think I'll ever recover from the emotional damage it has done to me. Vice Versa was FINE but I'm so glad JimmySea got to really shine in this series. So beautiful.
I'll say it once again... the breakup was unnecessary. they just made the drama dramatic for no reason. typical…
while I agree I don't think every drama needs to follow the same format, I think Only Boo might be one of the few that actually justifies it because it's been set up from the beginning, hell the conflict is IN the synopsis for the show. Moo's mom warned him episode one that the idol industry is brutal and he and Kang fell in love just as Moo's career is about to get going and it's repeatedly beaten over the audience head that it was eventually going to happen this way. Just because the event happened doesn't mean that's the end of everything though. There are two full episodes for them to find their way back to each other, and after a year, we get to see where they are as individuals now. Kang would never ask Moo to give up his dream for him. and Moo is just a kid. What could he have realistically done to change the industry on his own? Not much. Time was really the only way to heal this issue.
I see why a lot of people would love this drama and i wanted to love it just as much because it reminds me of…
At the end of the day if a show isn't your vibe that's totally okay. Not everything is gonna grab you even if others seem to be going crazy over it (me, im crazy). It's a very character driven show with the idol plot serving as a nice structure in the background, so if the characters aren't really working for you, there might not be enough reason to stick around. It definitely reminds me of MSP as well just much gentler and more upbeat haha.
