LoL, thank you for actually referencing my exact stance! I fall in the second bullet point of trying a version of this drama and hating it so much! I actually started hating the Japanese series when I stopped being angry with the male lead. I felt that I should be angry, continue to be angry and righteously so because he was a horrible person, no matter the things that had happened in his life before. Weird right? I just have this thing about bullying turning to assault that can turn to rape and then into romance . . . ? So I stopped halfway through the first season because I could feel myself being emotionally manipulated in the wrong direction (for me, at least). Anyway, I may try the first episode of this series, we'll see. Regardless, it was a very informative article, thank you!
why close range love movie is a sequel to this while they have no related containt
Yamapi is playing the same character since the character's name is the same in both the movie and this drama. I haven't seen this drama yet, but that's the only thing that makes sense.
I love Kento, but judging by music videos I've seen, how annoyed am I going to be by this movie? The SML looks like such a sweetie, I'm afraid to watch it!
Hiromi and her husband in that last episode are the best thing ever! I hoped we would get to meet him and he's an absolute doll. They're the healthiest relationship in the entire show,.
I haven't watched any of his previous work, but he's an amazing actor that's for sure. Something with his eyes…
I've just started tracking down his stuff, so this one will only be the second. Oh, and Seigi no Tenbin was subbed by MiaMaw. She finished and the subs are great. :)

The ML is also in Seigi no Tenbin as a support role, so you might try that one as well. He's fabulous in that too or I would have never ended up on this page searching for more of his work.
This is how I like Kamenashi. Smart, confident, a little arrogant, but with an undercurrent of niceness that shines through occasionally. And gorgeous, mustn't forget that. Just finished ep 1 and really enjoying it so far. You have to love crime shows, though, or this won't work for you.
Always refreshing to read a feedback from non-BL fans! :) While I also wish this had more episodes simply because…
Hmm, you do raise a good point. The length might have been one of the reasons I did watch it since it wasn't going to be a super long commitment for me. Not that I mind long dramas, but for someone who doesn't normally watch BL, I might not have started it had it been longer. So your thought is probably on point since it sounds like this particular drama has attracted a few non-BL viewers.
If a shorter drama couldn't be as perfect in terms of development, as a long drama, then we would be saying that…
It does sound like the drama is missing some important details and conversations though, at least based on what Ginger Ale said. I think if they'd made it either 6 full-length episodes (50 minutes each) or gone with a 10 episode series of shorter episodes it might have helped. Still, overall, for a shorter episode series, it was one of the better ones. I usually don't have very good luck with these types of shows (length, not genre), so I was pleasantly surprised that while it felt a little rushed, it was by no means so rushed that it didn't convey the story and the feelings of the characters well.
You are right the length of it being mini drama is pretty much one thing I’m sad about, some details from the…
I feel like it's a pretty mild BL overall and maybe something more people can relate to in terms of the characters' personalities. My favorite dramas are usually ones where I can relate to at least one of the leads and I think that was probably going on here. I related a little bit with Hira in that feeling invisible was my past-time in school.
I'm not a BL fan, but I watched it due to a video edit on YouTube and my love of photography. It's cute and very pretty, but the length is its downfall. Seems like an awful lot of hype for just 6 short episodes where they can't do a lot of character development and really rush through the story. Still, not bad, and I'm starting to understand that it's not necessarily gender that attracts people, but personality. A special zing, if you will, a connecting of souls. At the end of the day, it's more about loving that someone who is special to you for whatever personal reason you have, even though you can't always put a name to the reason. Thoughts from a non-BL fan who thought I'd give this one a try.
A completely random thought, but Kiyoi is at least as temperamental as my cat, Bucky. Kinda funny really until he scratches you. Or kicks you in the leg like in episode 4.
He has definitely thinned down in the face. He pretty much threw himself into a crazy exercise regimen after the scandal, probably as a way of staying sane. I kinda miss the softer cheeks. :(
Oh my god, he's got roles coming up! I think my heart just stopped, wait, no, I'm still breathing, okay, YAY!!! I am so over the moon right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What happens if the statement might not be the complete truth? Or a misrepresentation of the truth? Or even a…
When I was 8, I pushed my little sister off a desk and she got a black tooth. I apologized to her, was made to understand the severity of what I'd done by my parents, and we all moved on in forgiveness. My little sister is my best friend and I will always remember what I did to her in a moment of spite and how thankful I am that I didn't do anything worse. But my family has never held that incident over my head. That's what forgiveness is supposed to be, letting go of the past and never referencing it again.
If what he says is true, and I am going to take his statement at face value, then the other person offered forgiveness to him in exchange for his apology. This means this mess should not be happening now. You don't offer forgiveness and take it back 10 years later because suddenly that person is famous and you might get something for the wrong you suffered as a child.
For some reason this situation really bugs the hell out of me, so I apologize if I come off sounding harsh. It's not directed at you, but completely at the situation.
