Ok, I now have a reason to resubscribe to Netflix. Watching the original right now and it's fun, but I'm really wanting to see what Saint does with the role.
QUESTION. Do we have any updated *better* subs anywhere? I would love to rewatch this movie, but the subs on the version I watched were beyond painful. Has anyone updated (as in fixed) them?
Black Cinderella confused me so much but i must say they didn't do any of them dirty and did gave them fair chances…
I just finished Black Cinderella a few days ago and I agree. At the end, I get why she chose Keigo since he was the right choice for her, but I would have still gone with Sora. Nothing against Keigo since he's overall pretty nice. I just wish they author hadn't created Sora only to have him be a SML like that. He's ML material.
Love triangles annoy me so I rarely suffer from SLS, but when I do, there's always a reason. Black Cinderella, The Love Equations, and A Story to Read When You First Fall in Love to name a few of the series where I'm afflicted with SLS. Usually it comes down to me, myself, personally preferring the SML because he's the guy I would pick (nerdy, intellectual, snarky, etc.). I'm the girl who chooses Jughead in Riverdale every single time over Archie. I get it, I'm not the heroine, but when they're perfect by my own personal standards, well, there's nothing else for me to do.
However, with that said, I usually cheer for the main couple. To have only 5 or so dramas where I suffer from SLS isn't a bad track record out of the 100 or so dramas that I've seen. That's a 95% success rating for the main male lead.
Agreed. I haven't finished the drama yet, but I'm loving everything about it so far and I adore Jun and So Bin…
Only 2 episodes to go, and your'e right, I LOVE it. It's heartbreaking too, though, but in an important way, if that makes sense. I'm so glad I took the time to watch it.
I knew if i searched hard enough i'll find a drama that would suit my tastebuds. Thank goodness, i found this…
Agreed. I haven't finished the drama yet, but I'm loving everything about it so far and I adore Jun and So Bin together, but also really love the developing friendship of Soo Hyun and Jun. It just really works well. I'm excited to finish it.
I'm loving this drama and especially Joon and So Bin. Ep 6 and the start of Ep 7 are so stinking cute! I'm not sure what everyone else is seeing, but I think these actors have terrific romantic chemistry.
Kame's character would have made more sense if he was a prosecutor because I didn't really saw him helping his…
If the defense attorney can put aside their personal feelings as to the guilt or innocence of their defendant (as Takano had to do in the final episode), the ultimate message is that if a defendant has the possibility of being reformed, shouldn't society at least try, which means avoiding the death penalty. And that message can really only be expressed if the lead character works for the defense and not the prosecution.
Wow... you're a Jdrama watcher and don't like the J version? I think the J version is more manga-ish style. I…
I don't have a favorite version since I didn't finish the Japanese version and that left such a sour taste, I really had no interest in watching any other version.
OH HELLL NAHHHH... THIS ONE WAS NOT IT... oh my days... in 2021 and we are still doing half-sibling romance (…
To me, step brothers (not half brothers) are actually the main couple since they were the only ones who were pretty much gay from the get-go. The "main" couple made no sense to me. That was just bizarre how they had no inclination in that direction and then BOOM.
Frankly, you don't get Kiyoi at all. I'm not sure what you were seeing, but he's a whole heck of a lot deeper than you're imagining. I saw you gave Why R U 9.5 stars. How are Kiyoi and Hira any different from Fighter and Tutor? The desire, passion, and obsession are all pretty much there for both couples. And because of Fighter's muscles, let's be honest, he had the potential to be a whole heck of a lot scarier, which in that one scene, well, he was. Fighter spent at least 6 episodes as an impassioned bully in Why R U, at least as mean on the surface as Kiyoi. So what's the difference? Some people do not know how to communicate romantic intentions easily. That's just the way they are, but it doesn't make them bad people overall, especially when they finally make it over that mental block and can be honest. I just would have thought that if relationships like this bother you (where there are rocky beginnings that feel like bullying and manipulation), then Fighter's manic obsession with Tutor would have really bugged you too. Just sayin'.
