Was he ever convicted in a court of law? Or just the pictures in a Tabloid? Curious cause i never saw that part.
Yep, it's a really neat story. RDJ definitely had a rough couple of years and I'm so glad that he's pretty much got his life back on track. I love knowing Mel Gibson had something to do with it. It sort of renews my faith in humanity a little bit.

I really hope this turns around for him. He's still so very much loved. I didn't realize I had this weird vice around my heart since last August and it's finally releasing a little bit with the thought that he's probably not nearly as guilty as he's being portrayed. It would be so amazing seeing him and Will Smith in the same film!
Did you ever see the video where Robert Downey Jr. comes to the defense of Mel Gibson back in 2011? He pretty much said that Mel Gibson "had hugged the cactus long enough," meaning he'd punished himself enough, and it was time for people to forgive him. That's how I'm feeling about Tomo.
You've given the first bit of good news I've experienced in at least 5 months. Thank you. <3

See, that's my thought. Tabloids publish trash all the time and I would have thought the thing would have ballooned so much bigger if he was actually THAT guilty. I don't want to think badly of him is what it really comes down to. He's always seemed so gentle and self-aware to me.
Thanks for sharing the article from Johnny's Jimusho. That actually helps me a lot in processing everything.
And even if he is guilty, which at this point I'm thinking no, then she fooled him on purpose. He's not the first guy to have been duped that way if it's true. Which really makes me hate her, not him. If she was introduced to him as an adult and looked the part, why would he doubt her? Makeup does wonders at aging kids. Just look at Millie Bobby Brown. She's 17 and you would never know it by looking at her.
Yep, his career is over. Caught in one misstep. He should have verified ages. He's an adult and that's what adults…
If you're still interested in Yamapi's work then one series of his you might try is Buzzer Beat, if you don't mind sports dramas. It's superb and one of my favorites. I've lost count of how many of his dramas/films I've seen so far, but Buzzer Beat is one of my top favorites.
Despite all the deaths, there are so many blackly comedic moments in this drama
Absolutely! Dark comedy has its place, and I don't often find dramas that have it. It's refreshing that Todome no Kiss just went gung ho for a combination of serious and funny and made it work.
Yuri is played by my favorite actor who is just a heartthrob but seeing Yamashita and her together is so so much…
Absolutely, I like Ryusei a lot too as an actor, and he's sweet here as Yuri. But when it comes down to who I would marry, it would be Yamashita. It felt contrived how they got him out of the way. So, so sad.
Well, to be honest, that's just my own personal opinion since a lot of people love it. But I didn't like Last Cinderella. I like him better in nice roles and he's quite a player in Last Cinderella. His character just didn't appeal to me at all.
Thank you! Someone with some sense. I just started this drama and there is not enough painful, abusive back history in the world to excuse the ML's behavior. I'm not sure I'll make it through to the end or that I even want to.
Oh my goodness, it's like he and Kento Yamazaki were separated at birth! Love him in The Love Equations! Glad to see he's getting some main roles going forward!
I really liked LoveO2O and can't help but compare everything to that. It's very fluffy. Or you might enjoy Go…
Thanks so much for the recommendations! I'll try both of them! Now that I've started watching Chinese dramas, I may be hooked. Along with my Japanese dramas of course! ;)
I adored this drama. It's the first Chinese drama I watched and now I'm comparing everything else to it! The ML and FL were just so darling, definitely on my rewatch list!
It's not bad, but the editing job was choppy, unfinished scenes, and a good portion of the story felt like cliches. The actress is supposed to know Japanese but obviously had no clue how to speak it according to the dubbing scene at the end. Her lip movements were completely off. Like other commenters, I agree that the ending kind of ruined the show a bit. I'm not sure what they thought they were doing. I was more invested in the secondary couple that went nowhere much to my sorrow. And I swear the second season of "Love in Progress" was an absolute after-thought since they never showed anything other than the promotional videos being filmed. It just felt like incredibly rushed episodes and that, unfortunately, is the result of poor writing. It really could have been so much better. "Put Your Head on My Shoulder" was far superior in the storyline, acting, and episode editing.
The problem with Sakurada Dori is that he does so many smutty roles that it's impossible to tell if he's a good actor. I hope he starts doing some more quality work. That would be refreshing.
