I very seldom comment on things I watch, but as a victim of high school bullying myself, I feel I must. I too was the smart one, ranked second in my class of 240, for all the good it did me. I was thrown up against lockers for not helping other kids cheat, picked on and made fun of in gym class for my lack of athletic ability (about the only thing I was good at was serving in volleyball), had things thrown at me and generally verbally abused while being called fat and stupid.
This was nearly 50 years ago at a school in Pennsylvania and as you might be able to tell, it still pains me to this day. Things never escalated to the level of violence as depicted in this drama, but it got so bad in our brand new high school, they took the doors off the stalls in the girls lavatories. Imagine me painfully shy and picked on, having to go to the rest room in those circumstances.
Tho I could never know if this would continue into higher education, I could not bear the thought of another four years of this in college (even tho as the smart one, I qualified for scholarships). Therefore, I made the decision to forego college, forever changing the trajectory of my life.
It even continued post high school, when at a high school reunion, a female classmate told me to my face, she couldn’t imagine how dumpy little me could get such a good looking husband.
They say living well is the best revenge. A few reunions later, I returned as an editor at a large newspaper, the only one there without a degree in journalism. I passed out business cards all over the room, letting everyone know I wasn’t the loser they imagined me to be. One male classmate even sidled up to tell me, if I had known you were like this back then, I would have dated you!
Anyway, this is an painful but extraordinary drama. I hope Park Ji Hoon isn’t left out of the year end awards, since most of them are far off. He is an incredibly talented young actor. Really, the whole cast was mind boggling.
Even tho this isn’t an easy watch, I really hope people can watch and learn from it. Your actions can affect someone’s life, often without you even knowing, for many years to come. It’s a 10 for me.
I really loved Wang An Yu in this. Every emotion is visible on his face and in his heart. He is a natural in this kind of role … I never felt like he was acting.
Final point: if someone looks at you like he looks at Luo Na, grab them and never let go. We should all be so lucky!

On December 9, the 58th annual ceremony was held at the Konkuk University New Millennium Hall with Kim Tae Hoon and Kang Na Yeon serving as MCs. This year’s event considered 253 films that were released between October 1, 2021 and September 31, 2022.
New Wave Award (Actor): Ong Seong Wu (“Life is Beautiful”), Park Jae Chan (“Semantic Error: The Movie”)
So … this is now my favorite BL of 2022, surpassing even KinnPorsche for me. Whereas that grabbed you by the throat and took you on a wild ride, this one slowly and gently wraps itself around your heart and never lets go … just like one of Ayan’s hugs. Having only seen First in “Not Me” and Khaotung in “Thousand Stars,” their performances here were a wonderful surprise. From Akk’s luminous eyes, which carefully hid all his pain, to Aye’s expressive face, which revealed everything, they couldn’t be more different yet more perfect. I really loved this show. It’s a 10 for me and then some. Incidentally, this is my 340th completed drama, but my first review. I’d sure like one of those hugs now, please!
Oh, and don’t forget to watch the bloopers at the end of episode 12 :)

Just starting this now -- watching the full version with the combined episodes. I loved Anson Chen in HIStory 4 -- I didn't even recognize him here. I had to look it up to see if it was the same actor!
Haven't watched this yet -- I'm strictly a binge watcher. But it sounds from the comments below, this is going to be another "Check Out" with a great trailer, but not so much the real show? Meanwhile, can we all appreciate the fantastic OST and MV for "Dancing with the Devil." It is haunting, beautiful, totally mesmerizing ... one of the best songs/MVs of the year. ISBANKY'S performance is sexy, dramatic, spectacular. I am totally in love with it.
ML reminds me of Park Seo Joon in “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?” Besides the comma haircut and looking great in a three-piece suit, they have one other thing in common: abs :) If you’ve seen WWWSK, you know what I’m talking about!
Anyway, I enjoyed this for what it was. Both leads show promise for a bright future. Moving on now to the special episodes.

I agree, this could have been the 16 episodes simultaneously with both couples to allow for more character development and richer plots. Same thing for the Sky and Star series. I enjoy the show but I am not a fan of this trend.

You should at least watch the special episode (after ep 12) … and stay to watch after the credits! I promise you won’t regret it! The last half of the special episode is everything the rest of the series wasn’t :)

The Cinderella spin comment is spot on 🤣😂😅 I, however, was extremely distracted by the fact that nobody ever fixed that damned broken lantern on the front of Kamol’s mansion! Yet somehow I still enjoyed this crazy show 🤪🤪🤪
