I couldn’t agree more. What I have noticed, is that when asked about XL by someone, she always downplays her relationship with him, his character, her feelings. But to a stranger, she talks about him in a good light. I feel at the end when she was heartbroken for XL’s death, she wanted to grieve for him in privacy . She doesn’t have anyone to talk to about XL. She still doesn’t believe that he is dead, she is calling for him to be alive, to see her again. She is regretting her last words to him.

I’ve read it online somewhere, but it could just be a wishful thinking of those who would prefer a different end. I am team XL but I think his end is perfect. He is a character that I will remember, when I have forgotten the rest
