I can't believe that people are trying to argue that just because Kim Shin is 900 years old any woman would be too young for him so it's okay that Eun Tak is 19. That is actually the stupidest argument I've ever heard. He looks like a man in his mid thirties so we're going to treat him like that, which is why it's weird that he's developing a relationship with a senior in high school. If a boy who looked 10 years old was immortal and had lived for 900 years would you still pursue a romantic relationship with him?? Hell no! Because he looks like a 10 year old!

Their maturity levels are also vastly different. I understand that Eun Tak is supposed to be an optomistic and cheery person but a lot of the times it just comes off as super childish and like she's trying to do aegyo. I recently watched a Business Proposal and I think the FL does a good job at portraying someone cheery and optomistic without making the character seem childish. Kim Shin just looks like her uncle most of the time. He's also an immortal goblin who's lived for 900 years and before his death he was a killing machine war general so there mentalities are just vastly different.

Now I'm watching Goblin for the first time so I'm only a few episodes in but I'm just so shocked by the comments I've seen. I will say, I don't think their age gap is weird. Technically 19 is considered being an adult and he looks like a man in his mid-thirties so I'm just going to say he's 36. Which is perfect because I think that's how old Gong Yoo was when this was filmed. Go Eun was 24 I believe so I don't think a 12 year gap between the actors is bad. The problem is really just how the characters act. She just comes off as so childish to me sometimes and then the camera pans to Kim Shin looking at her like a grumpy ahjussi and it makes it 10x worse lmao. Like at the end of episode 1 when she tells him she loves him, why does she sound like a k-pop idol doing aegyo I hated it.

This would honestly be a perfect watch if they just made Eun Talk a senior in college instead of high school. She'd be in her early twenties and act a bit more mature AND SHE COULD LOSE THE SCHOOL UNIFORM. I hate that she's always in it. The main cover poster with the whole cast has Go Eun in a white turtle neck and maxi skirt. She looks like a mature woman of her age and so cute next to Gong Yoo. She's smiling bright giving off her characters optimistic cheery nature while still looking more mature than a high schooler. They should've gone for this vibe for her.

I really want to see the cast commentary that was part of the blue-ray. Anyone know if it’s uploaded online somewhere?

Was the Snowdrop blu-ray with cast commentary ever released? If it was where can I buy the blu-ray or watch uploaded content?

I didn't mind it too much. Could've been better, but not too bad. That's the way MAME propably wanted it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.…
Maybe you’re right about it being directed that way. I feel like he moves way too much and makes really over the top faces when he’s having his nightmares. Maybe they wanted it to be more dramatic so they directed him to be more over the top. But yeah idk I personally don’t like it. It also makes it feel less realistic. No one acts like that when they’re having a nightmare lol
On Love in the Air Oct 23, 2022
Am I the only one who doesn’t like Peat’s acting during his nightmare PTSD scenes? His acting during these scenes just seems bad and over the top to me. I absolutely love all of his other scenes, especially when he’s being sassy and giving us his iconic eye roll lol. But yeah idk something about his more serious scenes are hard to watch for me.

Rain is so fucking lucky, why can't i meet an older soft dom who will help me deal with all my problems ...
LITERALLY WHAT IM SAYING
On Love in the Air Oct 7, 2022
oh hell nah i know that prapai didn’t just blackmail sky into sleeping with him. that is such a toxic and borderline SA initial meeting. is this the kind of “plot” that was missing for ya’ll with payu and rain’s story??

besides the initial meeting i really do like the couple and am excited for their story. the reason behind their first meeting was icky but omg the chemistry and acting during that scene was amazing!! the rest of their scenes were great too.

idk why people are complaining about them showing payu and rain. yes we’ve already seen it but it was like a 5 minute scene. what annoyed me more was all the filler in the middle of the episode. like what was the point of that whole chicken dance thing??

I for one, will miss Rain and Phayu (although I'm excited for Prapai and Sky). I hear people talk about no plot…
exactly!! perfectly said! it’s a simple plot about them falling in love. it doesn’t need to be some dramatic story

Damn straight.I don't understand if people don't like it why are they wasting time dropping a comment here saying…
EXACTLY!! like find something better to do
Replying to tree3gram Oct 5, 2022
I think that the acting is great. Their interactions are so natural, the little smirks, smiles, and the way they…
YES!!! completely agree. the kidnapping scene came out of nowhere lol. but omg the chemistry and relationship is so good!! it’s healthy and normal i love it

2. People can be here even if they don't generally like MAME, because the world is not black and white. It is…
this comment isn’t the only one that talked about MAME. i’m seeing so many comments trashing on MAME and this series. if you don’t like MAME then don’t watch her shows. like there’s no need for people to be in the comments spreading hate and negativity. if gifs are tempting them into watching it then just watch it and form your own opinion. there’s no need to make a comment saying you “generally hate MAME’s work”. you can be curious but don’t get mad at MAME or the show if it’s not “different” or doesn’t “meet your expectations”. like don’t come back expecting something different and then get mad at the writer for not catering to your tastes. MAME is putting out the work she wants to put out for people who enjoy her storylines. also if you don’t like 4 releases from someone chances are you’re not gonna like the 5th because clearly you have different taste from what’s being put out. it’s not childish, it’s simple logic.

No offence but Noeul's acting needs some serious work, Boss is hard carrying
really? i’m seeing a lot of comments criticizing their acting and i don’t think it’s that bad. definitely good for bl standards. idk maybe their chemistry is blinding me but they seem like good actors to me

i understand that there’s a grey area. i’m just saying if you’re repeatedly disappointed with the work someone is releasing at a certain point it’s you’re fault for going back to something and expecting different results. like if i don’t like 4 songs a musician released the 5th song release is probably going to disappoint me too. you can be a critical fan but again it’s like if all you do is criticize a person’s work at a certain point you should just stop giving it your attention and move on. and yes there can be a grey area but sometimes it can be as simple as “if you don’t like it don’t engage with it”

As far as the plot goes, well... there is none. :D BUT the chemistry of the leads is OMG, off the charts!! I've…
Why do people keep saying there's no plot?? Two guys meeting and falling in love is simple but it's still a plot. Just because there's no mafia, trauma, SA, life-long rivarly, etc. doesn't mean there's not plot. In the last couple of episodes we see it get a bit more dramatic with the whole kidnapping. A simple light-hearted plot between a couple with great chemistry is great. There doesn't need to be all this theatricality that a lot of bl's have.
On Love in the Air Oct 5, 2022
After reading the comment section:
1. Am i the only one who thinks the acting is fine? Maybe I'm being blinded by Boss and Noeul's chemistry but their dialogue looks natural when they're on screen together. Not oscar winning but definetly good for bl standards.

2. If you don't like MAME's work then why are you here? I saw a comment that said something along the lines of "would you recommend this for someone who doesn't usually like MAME's work" LIKEEEEE girl if you don't like MAME why are you even here?

3. This might be a shocker for some of you but the plot is about two guys that fall in love. Just because there isn't some crazy mafia, trauma, bodyswitching, SA, lifelong rivals plotline, doesn't mean there's no plot. Also Prapai and Sky's story is supposedly going to be more dramatic and have some kind of trauma element to it so if that's what you're looking for just wait until Thursday.

In conclusion the comment section didn't pass the vibe check. Phayu and Rain are so cute together and have amazing chemistry. Their story was fun, light hearted, but also had some drama with the whole kidnapping situation. As far as acting, they are doing a great job for their first acting job. Loved their story and am excited for Prapai and Sky's to start!

after finishing the drama, i understand why jisoo was cast as the female lead. although youngro is the female lead character, she doesn't feel like it. youngro feels more like a plot device that is just there to aid in sooho's story. the character isn't well developed and is either a cute bubbly person or a crying martyr who thinks she's responsible for everything and has to help everyone. in any other drama, i can see youngro being a character like bun ook where she isn't the lead. what i am trying to say is this character doesn't require a ton of range, which is why a rookie actress like jisoo was cast. NOW THIS IS NOT HATE!!! just because the range of the character is limited, doesn't mean jisoo did bad. i really enjoyed her performance and think that jisoo brought youngro's character to life. her fun bubbly personality in the beginning was very well acted by jisoo and towards the end she was able to act very serious and delivered great dramatic crying scenes. there were some inconsistencies, understandable as she is a rookie, but overall it was a strong performance for a debut role.

i also feel like because the drama loses its romance aspect and turns more into a spy/thriller genre, i think youngro loses her place the female lead character, especially when there are a lot of other dominant female characters who are more involved in the spy aspect of the drama.

i don't understand why people are hating jisoo's acting skill, saying she's repetitive, can only act out crying scenes, and doesn't have a wide range of emotion. all of the crying scenes are the way youngro as a character was written, jisoo is playing the character right. sure she has inconsistencies but she's a rookie and this was a debut performance. i understand that all she does is cry in a lot of episodes, but that was what the script called for and what she was directed to do. idk how this is jisoo's fault. she doesn't showcase a range of emotions because all she's written and directed to do is to cry or act pure. this doesn't mean her range is limited, it jsut means she was playing the character. if she takes on another character in the future, maybe we'll be able to see more of her range.
