I usually keep an eye on the cast. If they have Mo XiaoBao cast as a young teen then you know roughy know how the novel is going to be adapted.

In the novel, Both ML and FL transmigrated from modern world. ML from the year 2016 and FL from year 2026.

Not sure what you mean by age gap - in the novel ML transmigrated in 2016 as a teen, whilst FL transmigrated in 2026. So by the time they meet either; in ancient realm or return to modern world he would be a little older - can't remember by how many years it's been a while since i read it.

Hopefully they don't deviate from the main arcs, but a lot of their interaction would not pass the censors 😅

In novel, she does go back to modern world. Back to the same moment that she left, which would be on the bus in 2026. Oh and it’s a HE in both lifetimes.

In the novel it is - it's in the Epilogue chapter, so who knows how it'll get adapted.

Been a while since I read it. There was Su Zuidie, she was betrothed to Mo XiuYao, but betrayed the family - in the end I think she died in ML's prison.

Novel is good, back half of the adaptation - meh! Could have been better but it was rather predictable that the writers would write in Chu Zhao ending as they already removed the novel's arc for him.

Otherwise, it was a good show.

With the story spanning almost a decade, we can be sure that there has to be some adjustments unless it's like the Qin dynasty epic. So yeah, changes for sure, here's hoping they stick the main arcs.

Would love to see Mo XiaoBao arc but almost sure we won't but hey we could be surprised. Let's see when all the cast gets announced. 😁
