Yan Chi's father dies first, then Qin Wan requests for marriage decree from Empress Dowager to stop Yan Chi from…
Mourning period is 1 year and Qin Wan is only 18. In any case, Empress Dowager wanted them to marry earlier, so she allowed them to marry after initial mourning period of 100 days.
in the novel what was first their marriage or yan chi father death?
Yan Chi's father dies first, then Qin Wan requests for marriage decree from Empress Dowager to stop Yan Chi from leaving capital to investigate father's death, fearing he might get assassinated as well.
Wedding comes after, there's a fun bit where Prince Cheng tries to spook Empress Dowager into not going forward with the marriage by influencing the oracle reading as inauspicious pairing - but Yan Chi fixes it. Prince Cheng thinks he's smart, but Qin Wan/Yan Chi are waaay smarter.
How is it possible the empress dowager didnt recognise her own blood????? And didnt call out emperor as fake?…
Empress and Consort actually suspect that he is an imposter but they selfishly want their sons to inherit the throne, so they went along with it. Not until Emperor decides to move against Empress does she rebel with CP.
Guys check out the airing schedule. Kudos to @totoro888 for spotting it. There's a "double happiness" on Ep 33/34. Is that for QinWan & YanChi? π Also, who's gonna guess the significance of the brush, scroll and vase??
Bai Feng and Fu Ling had some positive feelings for each other in the novel, but it never developed further, and…
With 8 episodes left (counting the previews) it seems there is a whole chunk of the back half of the book that's going to be left out. Hope the scriptwriters don't do a rush job with the ending - would be too sad.
people here, I've two questions:1) are yan li and yue ning also couple in the novel?2) i saw people on tktk saying…
I can only speak for what's in the novel and maybe the scriptwriters have decided to change it, but he and YueNing were not a couple and in the end he survives and leaves the capital.
Hello Novel lovers the section of the drama with the wacky princess who wanted to marry ML did that change the…
You mean Princess YuanWu? After QinWan saves her brother and how YanChi killed her horse for daring to mess with FL(dropped from show, maybe too violent for censors?) - she backed off and was quite nice to both. She re-appears when Princess Yan Zhen marries Beidan CP (not sure if that will be kept). No effect on FL/ML relationship, actually made them closer.
I have a question to the novel readers out there: How long do we have to endure the crown prince wanting to marry…
Dunno? Consort selection was supposed to be prior to Beidan envoys arrival, but there are hints in the show as they talk about it. So not sure when/if it'll be written in.
Emperor in novel is an imposter. His real name is Yan Han, brother of then CP Yan Huai. Yan Han rebelled and in…
Chapter 404 covers a little on events on Yan Han/Huai, Chapter 423 is written clearly to show how the misidentity occured.
Sorry, didn't want to assume you'd want to read it all. In any case basically after the rebellion in the battlefield they found Yan Han injured and burns on his face holding Yan Huai's sowrd. So that started the mis-identification.
When he recovered from his injuries he couldn't talk for a while but realized he was mistaken for Yan Huai. If he had revealed himself to be Yan Han he would have been executed for the rebellion. So he chose to live a lie.
