I couldn't even finish it, the characters are extremely boring...I don't really get why people say it's refreshing? Sure, I did not finish it, but am I the only one who thinks that a little bit of a love triangle and angst can be very entertaining if done right. Not to mention that there are quiet a few dramas that don't have a lot of these tropes that people deem annoying so that doesn't really make this refreshing. And honestly, the execution, not the tropes are annoying.
When you mentioned Limitless I was instantly thrown aback, I thought the movie was pretty bad >.< For me the thing with web-dramas is that they're bad but short so I don't have a lot of time to get annoyed :D
I haven't watched this drama but I would disagree with you saying that "Making a woman commit suicide…
My homeland is the most suicidal country in Europe and 4th in the world so this issue is very well known to me not to mention that I want to become a psychologist thus I tried to become as empathetic as possible and succeded (I hope). Not too long ago I had exactly the same opinion as you but I soon realised that we're all prone to this kind of misery even if it's not induced by a broken relationship. It just so happens that a lot of people tie their meaning of life to finding their soul mate, eternal love and when they seem to lose it the world starts to cruble while all logic fails making them forget that there are other things that hold meaning. In order to be happy humans have to have a meaning and when that meaning is taken away from them then life becomes hell. For example I find meaning in studying, in bettering myself intellectually thus when I get a bad grade or just fail miserably I become very suicidal, of course, other people might not feel so extreme even if they tie their goal to the same things as me but that is the thing, we're individuals and unfortunately I'm very prone to depression....this turned into a autobiography, sorry. I'm just really passionate about human psychology and I strongly believe that people know too little of it so I don't know, I just want you to understand and I think that you can because you seem like a very smart person. :) Although everything I stated is debatable..just wanted to rant xd
I haven't watched this drama but I would disagree with you saying that "Making a woman commit suicide in 2017 because of… men basically, just feels wrong, doesn’t it?". We're all individuals and love still hurts the same. Humans are very complicated. Don't know, I might agree with you after watching the drama but when talking about it in general that's my opinion. Nonetheless amazing review as always! :)
" He loves her but he let's her go. " That's kind of a spoiler isn't it? >.< Anyway, great review, made me want to rewatch this drama a lot, but knowing all the secrets would take away most of the fun. The initial reveals hit you like a freaking brick..
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I agree with most things, especially when talking about the supporting cast,…
I haven't watched that many Japanese dramas yet but they never fail to surprise me. I would definitely recommend 1 Litre of Tears if you're not afraid of tragedies. Please do check out Hirugao it's of the most thought provoking dramas I've ever watched ( I even wrote a review about it *wink wink*). Date - Koi to wa Donna Mono Kashira is worth a shot if you're looking for a very unique rom-com but it's a hit or a miss for most..
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I agree with most things, especially when talking about the supporting cast, I was weirded out when I saw people hating on Shi Ho's character. Sure she was supposed to be bitchy, but they handeled her development really well!
I could only smile and think "Welcome to drama land" while reading your complains, but I was too bothered by similar things, like how skinny Bok Joo was, she's a weight lifter for God's sake.. At least they tried to make it somewhat believable. I honestly liked the filters a lot, they added to the atmosphere. If you want something a bit more raw I would suggest you check out Japanese dramas.
