Episode #4 is the 9th highest watched drama on TVer right now! Looks like the show is picking up interest. About 276,000 people have added it to the list of dramas they follow.
I've never read the manga or watched the anime, but I loved the first episode. lots of good stuff about connecting…
Me, too. I don’t have experience watching the anime version nor reading the manga. All I know is that I’m loving this story! To me it’s definitely a must-watch this fall season! Yeah, the ML Nomura Kato is doing good in his role as an innocent , pure, Hina-doll-loving HS boy. And Nagase Riko is doing wonderfully as the lively, blonde, cosplay-loving HS girl with a great heart. Actually she has a fair amount of acting experience, so I wouldn’t exactly call her a newcomer. But she is still quite young. The both of them have bright futures ahead.
And now we have two additional members of the cast to watch in the Inui sisters!
I’m the only one that actually love this drama. I like it when it has a little spice to it.😋
I like it. Not love yet, but I like the story so far. I'm a fan of Nao. I have this drama ranked at #2 so far this season. Check it out! https://kisskh.at/list/Ln8Md994
While moonlighting in this drama as a company employee in love with his senior, Mokudai Kazuto must be spending his days in 3 Nen C Gumi wa Furin Shitemasu as a high-school student chasing after his first love.

As of today, October 25, 2024, the ranking for the 3rd episode on TVer was 21. I hope later episodes climb even higher. I love the background music they play every episode. This time it was when Gojo was making Kitagawa's costume. It's got an upbeat, angelic-sounding vibe to it. And then when Gojo does Kitagawa's make-up--oh, me heart goes pitter-patter!
Recently checked the TVer website and found that this drama was ranked 33rd, which is really low, especially for a new series. That’s too bad, as I find it very enjoyable and entertaining. I’ve come across some negativity and frustration in checking YouTube and X. It seems that fans of the manga, anime, and AV (Yes, adult video) are upset at this watered down, not-true-to-the-original version of the story. They’re undoubtedly correct with their assessment, and I understand them. But looking at this drama without bias, I see some positives. It could be viewed as a gentle introduction into the world of cosplay and even Hina dolls. One could applaud a quiet, introverted high school boy who cares for his grandfather. Or a surprisingly innocent, not-full-of-herself gal. Not sure what will end up happening with the popularity of this show, but I will take advantage and enjoy it. Who knows, it may end up being a hidden gem of a drama in the end.
ep 2 was so good😭😭really a great lesson even for adults! I loved that AED scene, that was so tense
Agreed! Must-see five minutes or so for all Japanese elementary school kids. Somebody tell the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology!
Wow! Episode two had lots of eye candy! I think I took in too much sweets. Good thing I have to wait again until next week. Speaking of which, I'm reminded of I"s, the drama with Shiraishi Sei. Both dramas feature high-school students in provocative uniforms. Well, as the saying goes, "The ayes have it."
Not to give any story away, but let's just say it was the most satisfying unsatisfying ending. Or rather, an acceptable inconclusive finish to the drama. Except that they unfortunately did injustice to the ending credit reel, replacing the cute dogs with scenes from the drama. Well at least they kept that cool song sung by Miyazawa herself. About the drama itself, though, I was surprisingly pleased by most of it. Not the most serious or best-acted drama or anything. But entertaining enough, though it's about an elevator girl- just about extinct nowadays, aren't they? I don't know, because I don't go shopping at ritzy department stores. But Miyazawa's ahead-of-her-time looks will stand the test of time, IMHO.
I was interested in watching this drama because the ML played by Kikuchi Fuma appears briefly in Aoshima-kun wa ijiwaru in the last episode. The office locations of the two dramas are similar, but I'm not sure if they're using the same sets with just things moved around and arranged differently. The difference is that this time, the ML is older, while the FL is younger. And this time there are multiple relationships being addressed. My first impression of the mains' relationship in the first episode is that the development is quite sudden and quick. Which gives plenty of time for them to get together, drift (or get torn) apart, and then back together at the end, which is what I'm guessing is going to happen. As for the glasses couple (played by Shimekake Ryuya and Yamazaki HIrona), I think they'll get a fair amount of time together as a happy couple. But then age and personal differences will split them apart. But like the leads, I think they'll end up happy at the end. As for the final pairing between Kaku So and Saito Nagisa's characters, I think it'll be used mostly for comedic effect. Just my hunches for this fall drama.
Good start to a series I have high expectations of. Nao has a down-to-earth realism to her acting. It's really believable. And Tamamori Yuta is at once calm, cool, and cold playing his character. I also like the fact that Okazaki Sae and Koseki Yuta, two ML-types, are also supporting this cast. Not really into boxing, but maybe I can learn the ropes, so to speak.
The ending of episode 10, which I'm assuming is the final episode, made me think "This is a psychotic Marmalade Boy." I'm referring to the (to me at least) famous manga/anime.
I really really want to watch this again, as it coincides with when I first came to live in Japan. Plus, it's got two of my absolute favorite songs, one by Bird and the other by Elliott. Unfortunately it's very hard to come by, not being streamed by any VOD site, and the rare VHS tape for sale/rent.
They're showing this drama now September 2024 on TVer (available if you live in Japan). My initial impression after watching the first episode is that Miyazawa's character is very shy and doesn't want to intrude into other people's lives. But as fate has it, she sees and gets into situations which, as the description of this drama says, will help her grow up. Also, I'm loving the ending theme song, Kokoro kara suki, sung by Miyazawa herself along to some very smooth jazzy pop backing. Not to mention the cute dogs which seemingly have nothing to do with the drama at all.
