I disagree with the general view that the female lead is strong. She is so helpless, easy to make use of and has…
I agree, she's not really strong. If she was, she'd have followed her heart instead of following orders to marry the general. In my humble opinion, both the bro and the general were sending up red flags of "using you, using you! Not really caring if you live or die, once you complete the mission for me."
Can someone give me more information? From the synopsis in the book and this drama, Fu Chou (mistakenly) sends her to be raped and disgraced in front of 10,000 people. Why does everyone still sing Fu Chou's praises? I want more perspective before I watch, and I also want to understand. How is it possible to forgive someone after that?
Rewatching this for the 4th time after many years. The first 3 times, I was blinded by the adorable realistic romance. Honestly, the main leads and the villain carried this show. it was a mess otherwise.
I'm on ep 11 and I just need to say the following: I ate Ji Sook's lack of backbone. I always hated it, but rewatching it now, I wonder how I was blindsided by the romance. Min Woo deserves more from her. I like her, because the actress did an awesome acting job, and also want Min Woo to have a person he can rely on. She needs to step up. She never gets as strong as the original woman. This is why I like b***hes more.
I hate Ji Sook's family. Her bro could only cause trouble for her and her family only uses her as a money horse, despite all the crying. Her mom, sure she's sick but she's so goddamn stubborn.
Is there any infidelity between the leads? Do they break up or separate? I like smooth, supportive couples lol,…
But I race-watched it, just to see for sure, and *gasp* the mom's situation makes him leave the FL, and get married with the crazy second lead! This state lasts for years and while he didn't like it and wasn't happy, he genuinely tried to make the marriage work. Nope, I hate forced breakups and especially selfish/ stupid parents.
Brace yourself guys, apparently they didn’t film the ending... soooo we won’t get our happy ending T_T
Whyyy??? Don't Chinese drama writers understand yet that people want a good ending, and that they just ruin the whole experience for everyone if they give a sad ending (especially when the novel has a happy ending!). I'm so disappointed. The writers let us down time and time again. *sad*
Is it worth to watch this? I'm skeptical about it since it's long.
It is extremely worth watching. This became my favorite so quickly. Before marriage was setting the stage, and it was so interesting. After marriage it became even more awesome. This story does not lag at all. I actually wanted more. After marriage was the best for me.
This starts out slow and I thought it was a safe drama to watch anywhere ( like at work). Then suddenly, after marriage, the whole thing becomes suddenly risque! Total lovey dovey feels and major cuddle and intimate scenes. I LOVE IT!! ♡♡♡ But NSFW. ♡♡♡♡♡
I'm thinking of watching this, but I hesitate with Emperor romances because there's just too many women for me to actually believe the romance. My modern mindset goes to war with my suspension of disbelief. I want to give this a try, because it's funny. However, is there and Empress? And how many concubines does the Emperor have? Please spoil me, anyone?

I still have hope for a happy ending, OMG!
