So are you saying it gets better?? LOL I just watched up to episode 6 yesterday, because after watching Not Me…
It gets better, but not by much. I’m with you, I watched this after Not Me because they were so amazing and was just disappointed in this all around. Khai gets a little of what he deserves and has to work hard to get Third’s approval, and there’s quite a bit of drama involved in that process. Basically, The Third torture gets replaced by Khai torture from then on.
Some people think Khai didn’t get better but the show really did at least try to prove he was. I’d say continue on if you’re at all entertained, but keep your expectations pretty low!
Aye is best boy. Khan is best boy. Thua was annoying and lowkey kinda creeped me out. Nice series, just way too long and drawn out for the plot they gave it.
The series looks really nice and the leads are pretty, but it feels very inauthentic. Very manufactured. I don’t think it’s as horrible as some people make it out to be, but put it next to amazing, heartfelt chemistry like To My Star or Old Fashion Cupcake and it’s gonna look like a piece of shit.
I do think the actors did the best they could with the script. It’s a script issue. Overall, not the worst thing to binge on a Sunday afternoon.
Just finished and it goes without saying that this show is beautiful. But I have to ask, did anyone else feel like it sorely lacked a kiss or skinship at the end?
The underwater kiss and the scene where Teh felt him over his clothes were both gorgeous, but then it rebuilt all this tension and conflict afterward and I was really waiting on that kiss at the very end. I was pretty surprised it never happened and it left the ending feeling a little unsatisfying for me. I was under the impression that all that suspense and will-they-won’t-they was going to amount to a passionate payoff, and it just didn’t really happen? I’m just wondering if anyone else felt the same.
For all those gratuitous scenes of Teh crying, it really wouldn’t kill them to show the two share a kiss to end the series.
Do they have more kisses (or intimacy in general) in this sequel? ITSAY was beautiful but I spent basically the entire series waiting for that big, tension-dispersing kiss at the end and they just hugged. Was pretty disappointed. That scene where Teh feels him over his clothes was so great but it left me craving skinship between them that the show just never gave.
Please tell me there’s a couple good kisses or intimate scenes for Teh and Oh in this.
Yes they do. Don’t listen to the haters. They are together at the end of the first season. BLY’s exgirlfriend…
Thank you for actually answering my question. These people flocking to comments to hate on a series can be such pests, all I wanted to know was if they were together by the end of the last episode or not. 🤦♀️
BOC finally confirmed they will announce 2023 line-up on January 18th https://twitter.com/beoncloud_th/status/1613158833890918400?t=4rf1wQBHwx-y66P-vyHW4A&s=19🕯🙏✨️💖
The wait is killing me! If we don’t get a second season or a new MileApo series I’m going to riot.
This series will always be the crown jewel of BL for me. It checks off all of the boxes.
Plentiful kisses. Sincere, heart-warming fluff. Gritty drama, passionate sex scenes, unforgettable chemistry, top-notch acting, great production quality and an interesting plot with well-written characters. Not too short, not too long, no stupid tricks pulled at the end.
And then, as if that’s not enough, the OST? So fucking good. So much love for this show.
I adore OffGun but I think they do so much better in a darker more serious setting. Both of their acting excels like that, so I wish they had a new series that wasn’t seemingly just fluff.
I’m open to being proven wrong though. Maybe it was the lack of experience that made their prior work so far beneath Not Me, and now they’ll be awesome with fluff. Either way, I’ll be excitedly watching! It’ll be interesting to see their chemistry post-Not Me, where it was literally perfected.
I hate myself for not just watching this, I tried when it came out but it didn't catch me... I should just start…
Don’t force yourself if you’re not in a receptive mindset. You should wait until you feel ready so you can actually enjoy it rather than forcing yourself to sit and watch!
The way they filmed the scene with Khai kissing that girl at the bar was pretty bad and should’ve been reshot. He looked very into it and was kissing her back for a solid three seconds at least.
I know the show later explains he was ‘stunned’ but Off was kissing back for sure, which made forgiving Khai harder for the audience.
Just back to reminisce. Kuea was absolutely horrible. Zero depth to his character, completely inconsistent, annoying and boring simultaneously. NuNew’s acting was as stiff as a wooden pole and didn’t add any layers to the character at all either. His only three expressions are crying, deer in the headlights and doing some weird, shy half-smile thing.
Some good kisses with tongue, but man, what a mess. That proposal scene where he humiliated Lian in front of his entire family at the ceremony was so cringe-inducing it’s burned into my brain, and now I’m learning the second season is going to be about more engagement woes? They really couldn’t find any other topic to write about?

So passionate and beautifully done, but Teh avoiding kisses broke my fucking heart. I’m keeping my fingers crossed he gets a kiss soon or I might die.

Jesus. What a flop.
