it's not up to her but since the current emperor didn't have any son, then the next emperor could only be from the same bloodline aka his brother, but now that one of the concubine is pregnant with the emperor's child, then the emperor's brother is no longer in line for the sucession which is why the empress dowager is plotting the concubine's miscarriage

the current emperor is soon going to die so she can only make plans for the next emperor, imagine if she gets her (weak) second son + xue shu as the empress, the xue family power will be overwhelming, palace politics are indeed ruthless haha

this part was likely included to pass the censorship but you know the butterfly? she fell "asleep" and basically doesn't remember/know about writing any novel right now

the emperor is indeed her son but the xue family will lose its power because the new emperor will also be from another family (the concubine one) and the empress dowager explained that her grandson will never like her (since she's in bad terms with the pregnant concubine) so it's the concubine family that will gain the emperor power and the xue will lose theirs

going to bar and drink is just a way to meet people but usually it won't be for a serious relationship

waited long for this one and it doesn't disappoint at all, i'm so hyped for the next episodes

didn't know the comment section would be this bad lol maybe because i know it's a romcom so i'm just enjoying the drama as it is

the mum is a bit involved in the plot but in the recent episodes i skipped their parts and didn't miss anything big

i'll say i still like the drama but considering i'm only watching the scene with namsoon and her two ml? haha, i'm not interested in any of the side characters tbh especially her mum (grandma don't bring anything to the plot either) so i just skip their scenes, i feel like the focus is more on the mum than namsoon sometimes which is a pity

most likely it won't be a "happy ending" since when he'll no longer be a vengeful spirit he'll be able to go on the other side ... he died long ago after all, so an ending a bit similar to hotel del luna? i'm feeling

yeah he fits those characters a lot more, if he was to record a romcom i would like to see him play as a playful little shit, the type you want to hate but endearing as well

the premise is interesting and i like he's a vengeful spirit that most likely will find peace (and his love back for her) while spending time with her, only thing i really don't like is the whole celebrity aspect, junoh character was unsufferable and stupid so i'm actually glad he's gone, but the rest of the celebrities are just as annoying and i get that they're antagonist but this feels almost like a makjang drama, the enemies to lovers plot is dark enough and all these celebrities side characters are useless to the plot ...

the drama is so messy and this is honestly what i love the most about it haha (really dislike the fatphobia in it ... somehow they might talk about it at the end? the wrongs of the mother and all since after all he's taking drugs because of the way she treats him? but i don't have much hope ...)

it just keeps getting better, so hyped for episode 5 next week!
