Loved CX's conversation on having 'learned to swim' after that woman pushed him into the river. Xin Yue walked…
I get the vibe that CX is doing it because (a) he needs their family’s support when he vies for the throne, (b) he knows she likes him and is encouraging her affections to make reason (a) stronger and (c) he’s trying to see whether XY would have any reaction to it - it’s almost like he glances toward XY and TSJ, feels jealous and then wants to see if XY will react to him falling in the water / going with whatever her name is. I say that because in the trailer he says something about how he wishes XY wouldn’t congratulate him every time he gets married - making me think that part of his advances toward other women has something to do with inspiring the same feelings of jealousy and romantic love he has when XY is approached by one of her other admirers.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but part 2 needs to wait at least 3 months after part 1 to air per new Chinese regulations.…
I heard about it after posting this comment :’( Thanks for telling me though. I don’t know why the Chinese authorities changed the rules. This is going to be torture.
I KNEW I should have waited to start this but couldn’t resist the temptation and now I’ll be suffering for the next few months. I really hope the second season has no delay in airing. Honestly TSJ is SO sweet but XL’s villainy white tresses are too alluring and yet I’m strangely also captivated by CX’s devious devotion. I haven’t seen a drama like this in a while where I couldn’t figure out who to root for from the start - but I’m loving it!
Binged all available episodes on Netflix and came on here to find out it’s completed! YESSSS. Binge shall continue. I honestly love it so much so far. Also, I really like that Sang Zhi and her mom have such a great relationship as compared to their last drama together :)
A-ri’s mother said it when Min Hye visited her in jail to ask her about A-Ri being alive. Something along the lines of “how dare you visit me, you’re the reason I’m here - I know it was you who reported me for tax evasion”
Ooh also the ending? Are they hinting at a season 2 from a male influencer’s perspective? Could be interesting plus the guy is way too good looking to be just a cleaner.
Solid 8.5 for me! I love watching the downfall! I did guess the ending but not all of it so still very satisfying. I am usually a hardcore romance person but I enjoyed this as much as I did The Glory. One complaint: IU’s Celebrity isn’t used in the drama. Netflix missed a bop!
I really enjoyed it because it had two of my favorite drama tropes - a smart and always winning female protagonist and multiple love interests (even an obsessive weirdo who I oddly liked). All wrapped up nice and neat in 40 episodes.
GIVE ME MORE FROM THE ENDING! They didn’t even mention the kid’s name! I LOVED this drama, heart and soul and multiple lifetimes and weddings and all. The only reason I can’t give it a 10 is for the above named reason. I really hope they give us extra like Eternal Love of Dream did.
Also, so ironic (and yet poetic) that this kid’s name is technically Mi Er? (Context: I’ve been obsessed with LYX’s Run Yu for years)
I was already likely to watch it anyway because of the main leads (I loved Love is Sweet) but the first episode has really intrigued me! I’m hoping watching while airing doesn’t torture me too much; I usually try to avoid doing this to myself but couldn’t resist the lure of these two. Also hope it keeps its momentum, so far no dull moments!
I watched the drama what feels like a century ago but seeing the sequel on Netflix made me super excited because while I only vaguely recall what happened in the drama, I do know that I really enjoyed it. And same goes for this film! There’s something about this couple that just keeps you going even at points where I was thinking the film was too long.

^ heard Tencent members are getting episodes 21 and 22 on August 3 and 4 respectively. True or false?
Also I keep reading the spoiler tags, someone stop me :’(
