I don't know about others but the age gap or being a student and a teacher isn't what bothered me. What bothered…
I get it, I do but the male lead did feel guilty about feeling attracted to her when she was younger and he never acted on it. Plus, she was technically 18 if I remember correctly. I absolutely agree, he shouldn’t have fallen for her, him being her teacher and in a position of authority. Maybe they shouldn’t have made it so he liked her when she was younger and only fell for her later but the thing is it does happen and I think the emphasis should be on the fact that he didn’t do anything while she was younger - he never encouraged her affection for him, never used his age or position of authority over her in any way. It happened. They didn’t do anything wrong if they had a crush on each other while she was 18 and he was 27. Everything only happened when she was 31 and he was 40.

I really don't understand how babies are made in RSL universe without the sperm and through IVF? Can anyone please…
I understand the confusion because I also didn’t get it. As the other comment says, men make millions of sperm per load so really all they would need to do to solve the issue is selective IVF - picking out the sperms with the XY genes instead of the XX. But maybe whatever caused the problem of too few male births in the first place prevents them from doing this? Or maybe the male foetus pregnancies are higher risk?
Not really well explained but I’ll leave it alone.

I really enjoyed it - it’s like the Hunger Games but the prize is a man instead of wealth. The quality of filming and graphics are top notch, just like in Squid Games.
I like the ending but don’t really understand the practicalities of disarming the societal structures. I feel like they definitely left the ending open because of a possible season 2 based on its reception - classic Netflix move.
To be honest though, as much as I liked it, I don’t think I’d want a season 2 because I don’t see how they’d keep the game show vibe going without the actual RSL game and I’m too attached to the couples to see them separated. I’d rather live with the idea of happily ever after :)

I’m glad I left the last 4 episodes to binge. I think if I watched this in one go, I wouldn’t have gotten as frustrated when Yu Ra appeared.
But I loved the webtoon and I loved this adaption. I do appreciate the changes they made by not sticking completely to either web novel or webtoon.
Also, the height difference between Na In Woo and Park Min Young still makes me squeal even after 3 kids and 16 episodes. I adored the ending, everything tied up in a nice bow :)

I’ve started my rewatch and only JUST realized that Ji Won returned on 12 April 2013 and Ji Hyuk returned on 19 April 2013, meaning all that care and heroism that he exhibited on her first day back (when she had the freak out with Min Hwan and the coffee pot incident) was still past Ji Hyuk. The prolonged look in the elevator in Episode 2 is when he first sees her in his second chance. Wow, the revelations, I’m so late

I enjoyed this in the beginning but it started to get rather stale around episode 20 for me so I’m not sure I actually want to complete it anymore…

What can I say, I like a good second chance revenge story ĀÆ\_(惄)_/ĀÆ
Is it the best quality, acting, anything? No but it was short and entertaining.

I powered through and ignored the makeup and the problematic beginning as best I could. Had to rewatch the ending to fully get it but turns out they’re on their third reincarnation. Since there’s a ā€œThe Endā€, I’m guessing they won’t drag it out into season 2 which is great news because I hate when they do that. My rating is 7.5 but keep in mind that is with watching at x2 speed and skimming through some scenes. I do think this drama is interesting because there was quite a few twists and turns but as it’s so short, it feels very choppy. You can follow along but it doesn’t really give much satisfaction. Or maybe that’s my fault because of the way I watched. Either way, I do think it’s worth a try if you can get past the beginning and the makeup.
If it was longer with better quality and acting, the storyline could be on par with something as dramatic as Goodbye My Princess.

Considering this is over 10 years old and it’s my first time watching this, I’m very surprised that it doesn’t seem more dated apart from the makeup.
Having watched Extraordinary Attorney Woo not too long ago, I think I prefer EAW though. Still enjoyed this drama though.

UNNECESSARY. This was meant to be a HAPPY second chance! Why add this stupid ex-fiancƩe?! I signed up to watch joyful revenge on the cheaters, not this.

I rewatch this drama almost every other year and it never fails to make me smile :’)
Idk why the student-teacher romance bothers some people so much. There are much worse age gaps, much worse starts to relationships (especially in real life) and personally, I think they handled it appropriately. No one in the drama, not even the people falling in love, thought they should be together at that age so I don’t get why it’s a big deal that they get together later on.
Anyway, my opinion: I still love this drama.

It’s uncomfortable how relatable this drama is for me but I’m strangely enjoying it

I really like the changes they’ve made. It retains the feelings of the webtoon but it’s still surprising to watch the twists. I really appreciate how Ji Won got a one up on that awful manager and director. Hoping the worst two (Min Hwan and Su Min) get an even better comeuppance!

I am very glad I saved this for a binge! As much as I like the actors, I don’t think I would have been very loyal to wait for the episodes, especially over 3 months. Now just to wait for the final episode but honestly I’m just glad that the idiot finally found out the truth.
