On Love Alarm Season 2 Mar 13, 2021
WOW! I knew people were going to be salty about the ending and just as predicted!
I’m probably in the minority who wanted this ending. I like that this season explored Hye Young’s backstory and we revisited Jo Jo’s trauma. I like that Sun Oh and his mother had some progress. I’m so glad that Yuk Jo got her happy ending because honestly that girl deserves the world.

Overall, I appreciate that they had the balls to not let Jo Jo end up with the popular choice because, honestly, it makes more sense this way - my opinion, feel free to disagree.

People like Sun Oh as he is the typical rich handsome male lead who always gets he wants. As harsh as it sounds, I’m glad he didn’t get what he wanted - we’ve seen this dozens of times...and it’s about time that the other guy gets the girl.

TLDR; you won’t enjoy this if you’re a Sun Oh stan.

As a fan of the webtoon, I treat this drama entirely separate. For the webtoon, I’m team Suho. For the drama, I’m team Seo Jun. And even if my ship didn’t come out on top, I really enjoyed the ending. It made me laugh, it made me smile. It’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed a drama as thoroughly as this one. 9/10 for me :)

Random Comment on Ep14That scene where Seojun was singing seemed familiar. It reminded me of Mary stayed out all…
This! I also had the same thought. His voice and his preference for dark colors remind me of Jang Geun Suk’s character from You’re Beautiful.

On another note, I hope we get to find out more about Soo Jin. There seems to be more than meets the eye with her situation. At least I hope so. It would be nice if she didn’t have a 180 in character just because we needed the second female lead to be antagonistic.

OH SO NOW, THEY WANT TO START FOLLOWING THE WEBTOON?
Nope. Nope. Nope.
Rejected.
Just like my guy Seo Jun SHOULD HAVE been so we can all move on from this.
I adore love triangles too but this one needs to end.

Title True Beauty Spoiler
Everyone’s going on about Su Ho vs Seo Jun while I’m over here mourning the loss of Kang Soo Jin’s good side ;-;
We couldn’t have one drama without the second female lead devolving into a bitch? I get it, she has her own issues but it doesn’t excuse her using Ju Kyung’s insecurities against her.

WHY, WHY, Why is Sifeng an intelligent being who is also super dumb? He KNOWS Xuanji doesn’t have her six senses so WHY does he assume that when she says she likes Sixth Disciple that she knows what she means? Surely, he must have realized by now that Xuanji has no sense when it comes to feelings. I feel like she makes that pretty evident. I swear, he’s a masochist.

While I do believe that Run Yu is the one ultimately at fault, I will never forget that it was actually Kuang Lu who encouraged him to pursue Jin Mi despite both of them knowing fully well that Xu Feng and Jin Mi had feelings for each other. I understand that she did it in sympathy (and because of her love) for Run Yu who never got what he wanted because of Xu Feng (who always got what he wanted because of his position as the Empress’ son). But the girl really did make her own bed when it came to not having her feelings returned. Especially when Run Yu considered not pursuing his feelings for Jin Mi out of respect for his brother and she encouraged him otherwise. However, as much as she encouraged, Run Yu was the one who made the final decision and therefore, the villain albeit one that you can empathize with.

If I continue pointing fingers, I could technically even blame Jin Mi as well for showing Run Yu true kindness and friendship which was the cause of his falling for her. Although I even question then if he truly even fell for her or whether it was more a convenient set up that she was Water Immortal’s daughter and he was fond of her. I’m not sure Run Yu knew what love really was, having grown up shunned and deprived of any sort of affection apart from Xu Feng’s brotherly comraderie.

While I’m at it, I also want to raise an argument: Jin Mi wasn’t even supposed to be his fiancé. The edict issued at Water and Wind Immortals’ marriage was that the first son of the Emperor would either be blood brothers or affianced to the child produced from that marriage. Jin Mi wasn’t that child therefore she shouldn’t have been considered Run Yu’s fiancé. Could’ve saved everyone a lot of heartache if someone pointed out that technicality. I bet Moon Immortal probably tried to raise it once but then got distracted by a red thread or something.

Hi! Spoiler hunting Does he have sexual relations with both girls harem style? Does he end up with CX in the end?…
Hi! It’s been a while so I looked at the Wikipedia page for the movie to jog my memory. He definitely gets married to Liu Li thinking she’s CX and then CX becomes her maid. Whether they actually had sexual relations I’m not sure - probably since they were wed? But she was having an affair with another prince so maybe not. He does end up with CX in the end and indeed true love at last.

Was really happy to find this on Prime as it made it easier to binge. Gong Zhi was a big reason why I stuck with this drama - my Slytherin heart loves him. Good story and really amazing production quality too. Felt like it was a video game at times and the animations were beautiful and were a fantastic use of showing flashbacks. 8/10 from me!

Ah Li also says that the only thing more humiliating would be to be seen on his underwear by said friend. That's…
Oh lol, was overthinking things then

So I loved this drama and have already started a rewatch, haha. Mild spoiler below, I guess.
I've hit a part of episode 25 that I don't quite understand - so this is after Dong Hua finds Feng Jiu bathing and hands her clothes piece by piece. At one point, he hands her something (I think) is akin to a bra which she's understandably embarrassed by. However, after she absconds, she's talking to Ah Li and says to him, 'If you met the person you like several years later and they find out you're still wearing diapers, what will you do?' And Ah Li, the little dramatic dough ball, says it would be so humiliating that he'd hit himself to death with a chunk of tofu. So judging from that conversation, it made me think that maybe what I thought was a bra was like a training bra and that was why she was so embarrassed. Is my understanding correct or am I totally off?
