I just started watching this series. No particular reason. I wish I had discovered this mine of gems earlier. I can see my grandmothers, and neither was Korean. This series goes beyond any culture and border. Thanks to the writer, the folks who accepted and financed the project, the actors and the crews. 감사합니다

I made a mistake. Sol sold them. We only know that Sol and Dan look very much alike based on statements by the convicted rapist and the corrupt politician. We also know that Sol was punished for helping Dan. Finally, we know that Dan is in the Boston area as per her area code on the cellular.
I am only on ep. 5, so I don't know what happened later. Having said that, resembling Sol and being part of the family, wouldn't Dan be 1. the girl selling the books at the beginning of the series with her little sister Byeong (that's why Byeong states in Ep. 5: I have seen that guy [JoonHwi] before)? 2. Sol's sister who had been attacked and whose hair had been set on fire by some b!tch whose father was a police chief?
It could be a saying... it’s a parallel to episode either 2 or 3 when he says that while threatening someone…
The only place where I heard that expression is Vincenzo. It comes up several times (Cho was saved by Vincenzo and didn't end up as vineyard fertilizer, Vincenzo in the end goes back to Italy and kills three people and turns them into fertilizer, etc.). The fact that two rows were not available to customers and two bastards had been killed and their bodies had never been found made me think - on top of ChaYoung - tapping the soil with her foot, that there was human fertilizer below. I am curious.
Nothing beats Choi Myung Hee's blazing end for me. To me, she is the real villain here. It was satisfying to see…
If I am not mistaken, she was the fake inspector checking the gas meter, and trying to burn everyone alive in the plaza. If so, she go what she was trying to do to others.
Not sure if I understood right. Did the bastards, who were executed, and whose bodies were never retrieved, end up as vineyard fertilizers? Could anyone cast light on the matter? Thanks.
Honestly, I'm really disappointed by the finale. The cliché capturing of FL, causing the ML go dumb dumb. Cha-young…
Looks to me that HanSeo was sacrificed so that Vincenzo could say the line "you are my true brother" or something like that. HanSeo deserved way better: he did his best to redeem himself.
I had hoped all along that the con artists who had drugged Vincenzo arriving in Korea would reappear. No such luck. The two executions were quite interesting to say the least, even showing a two-step one for the Babel bastard. Felt sorry for HanSeo. Not sure why the Plaza Cassano "family" was doing a sign, which in Italian means "what are you talking about?". The ending seemed inspired from "Crash landing on you".
Myung Hee is gonna be buried alive in that basement vault in my personal reimagining of it! If they pray over…
The dead cleansing themselves of the sin of avarice in Dante's Purgatory made fun of Crassus. This Roman general only lived for gold, and after a battle, the winners poured molten gold in his mouth. He died.
I was pretty upset that the Babel bastard enjoyed Haribo Gummibärchen. If they really had to do product placement with them, Vincenzo should have enjoyed them instead. "Haribo, den er go'" :-) [built on the original "Haribo macht Kinder froh"]
In ep 17, there is a scene where Vincenzo says Monks to move from their place but they refuse and The monk says…
Inferring from the monks always out of the temple in ep. 18 and the chamber being empty at the end of that episode, Vincenzo: "The gold is here. You guys get a share if you help me moving it out: too many people know about this place."
I watched episode 18 while sleeping, When gold thief comes to hit HCY and when Vincenzo comes to beat them I suddenly…
It made sense with the monks going out asking for alms all the time: they were not going out asking for alms. They may even have been the so-called mules. Vincenzo knew that the secret of the place had been blown, and took measures accordingly.
The way he put the "testa di cazzo" (sanitized translation: idiot) behind bars, and the way he defenestrated a thug in the ending was great. I wonder whether the balloon company outfit wil be items on sales in the future.
Thanks, and I just read the article, whose link you added. I knew that there were lots of dispute involving China, Korea and Japan on such items (my wife is Korean). You are very thourough if you went and checked the "incriminated" episode. Thanks again from a netflix viewer in Canada as well
All my information and comments about the Vincenzo series (very honestly and without any prejudice). Using genres?…
I didn't keep a tab on the murders. Your number I guess would refer to the events in which people got killed: Jeon Yobin's dad is 1 event and death and counts as one, and massacre of researchers is circa 20 deaths and counts as 1 event. I didn't realize how many people lost their lives until reading this.
Standard Buddhist symbol. Korean (and true in other countries) Buddhist sites are full of them. Nazis were just…
I realize that you agree with what I said. Could you however list the words I put in your mouth: I can assure that I can't see them, and I wasn't trying to do it. You would be of great help just in case other people share your impression. 감사합니다. Again, enjoy the series. I wasn't trying to spoil it for you.
