Hahaha you are welcome!! As mentioned before, this drama peaked my interest at the beginning so I was too curious about Xinger-YWY's story that I had to find out what happened and in the process improved my Vietnamese reading skills by leaps and bounds lol...don't you think their love story is the greatest?! I mean it's the unconditional and pure type of love right?! There are so many more sweet moments in the book that would give you toothaches, and it's unfortunate that the production company didn't use any of them!!

Xinger-YWY and their people are on a boat heading back to ChangAn from Liang State (after they reunited since YWY's fake death they didn't get together right away, they met up a few times and then separated due to personal and political reasons, after Xinger agreed to follow YWY to Qing Hai she said she wanted to go visit Xiao Ce to say goodbye to him since she won't be seeing him anymore and it was during this visit that she got stuck there for months due to internal battles and tragedies that happened in Liang State...due to these troubles Xinger ended up bringing Xiao Ce's infant baby with her when she meets up with YWY...again lots of details here but I'll save for later)...
After dinner, Xinger found YWY sitting at the top of the boat, she came to sit next to him and they talked about her past life (in the book Xinger was an agent in modern times, so YWY asked her to tell him about her previous world)...then YWY said to Xinger...
YWY: Xinger, I don't care who you are...
Xinger (nods and smiles at YWY): I know, no matter what I'm still your Xinger.
YWY (surprised, stared down at her and lifted her chin up): Say it again.
Xinger: say what?

YWY (raised his eye-brow and jokingly asked): everything??

Xinger (leaned against YWY's chest, inside feeling a great sense of peace that she's never felt before, turned around and embraced YWY, whispered back): let's not separate again.
YWY: you're going with me to ChangAn, are you not scared?
Xinger: compared with before, I'm more scared of being separated from you. Every time we separate, some tragedy always finds us, just like this last time, I thought I would never see you again.
YWY: from now on, you don't have to be scared anymore.

After coming back to their rooms, YWY thought to himself that there are things that you should act fast and swift, waiting will result in losses, he must find an opportunity to make himself hers...giving each other everything belonging to the other...at midnight, he stood up from bed, walked around the room 2 rounds and decided: no need to look for an opportunity, tonight is the best time!!
YWY is someone who is meticulous, before he takes action he must plan out every detail...he changed into a crisp outfit and looked at the handsome face in the mirror, then sat down to drink a cup of tea while thinking about all the possible dialogs he could exchange with Xinger...ok done and ready to execute the plan...he got up and walked toward the door then suddenly the door swung open and in front of him was Xinger...YWY froze in his step for bit thinking to himself "what is this?! This is not a scenario I have imagined or planned for!!"

YWY: I slept too much during the day so now I can't sleep so I was going out for a midnight walk.
Xinger: it's windy outside, it's best to stay inside so you won't get sick. I noticed you didn't eat much during dinner, so I brought you some food.
YWY (stared down at the bowl of porridge Xinger brought): that's it??
Xinger: lucky enough to have food already, don't be picky.
Xinger then lightly patted head head like a little kid and said "finish this and then go rest up, don't wander around". After this Xinger turned around and walked out of the room.
YWY stunned and thought to himself "what is this?? All plans are mixed up...the bait came to my door and I let it walk away just like that?!"
YWY walked out of his room to follow Xinger to her room. When he got to her room he heard the sounds of a baby (Xiao Ce's baby) and the sounds of water splashing everywhere...he stopped at the doorway and watched Xinger attempting to give the baby a bath, her clothes were soaking wet...the baby got out of the tub and crawled toward the door...Xinger's eyes followed the baby and saw YWY standing there...it was like she was mesmerized by his beauty...when the baby got to the door, Xinger's maid came along and picked the baby up and brought him back to her room with her. YWY calmly walked into Xinger's room and closed the door. YWY went over to the bed to pick up a blanket and then came back and wrapped it around Xinger...Xinger's legs went numb, she's not sure if it's because she's been sitting down on the floor too long or because she's went weak at the sight of this beautiful man, but her legs have no feelings...
Xinger: what are you doing over here??
YWY: I miss somebody so I can't sleep. That somebody is actually very lovable, but a bit stupid. She tends to get lost all the time. If I don't keep an eye on her she will get lost again, gets hurt or even kidnapped. That's why even though I'm very close to that person, yet I still worry when I don't see her so I had to go look.
Xinger: there's no one that's stupid like that.
YWY: ohh yes there is, even more stupid than I just described.
Xinger felt embarrassed, held out a fist about to punch, but YWY grabbed a hold of her fist and held it in his hand. He moved his face close to hers where his lips were so close to hers she can feel his breathing...she closed her eyes...but after a while there was nothing happening, she slowly opened her eyes for a peek and saw YWY staring down at her with a smirk and asked "what...were you waiting for me to kiss you??"
Xinger yelled: YWY, you are too much!!
Furious that she got played Xinger pushed him away but right away he pulled her in for a surprise and deep kiss...
He kissed her one time, two times, three times.
YWY (opened his eyes and called her by her real name): Chu Qiao, be one with me?
YWY (changed back to calling her by the name that is his to call): Xinger...
Xinger: yes?
YWY: I love you.
YWY: I've loved you for a long time. Do you know?
Xinger: Yes.
YWY: what about you?
Xinger: me too.
YWY: you too what?
Xinger (struggling to breathe): ...
YWY: speak...you too what?

Later YWY thought to himself "I've always thought of myself as better than YX, that only I could bring her happiness, however after tonight I've realized that the other person is more noble than me...after 10 years together and he didn't do anything...I can't believe YWY is like this...but what can I do...when it comes to Xinger I become selfish and I always want more..."

Sure @Sey I will type it up in a bit when I get to my laptop since there are a lot of juicy details and typing on the phone will give my fingers arthritis lol...but trust me this part of the book is really good it made my heart flutter!! I'll hint that this is also the time when they both said "I love you" to each other!!
I know I am going to get a lot of backlash for this, but honestly I do not feel xing er deserves yuwen yue.
I don't disagree with you and at times I don't think Xinger deserves YWY either, but I adore the character YWY so much and in order for him to be happy he needs to be with Xinger and that's why I ship them together. I hate seeing YWY suffer and he has suffered so much already I want him to have his happy ending. :)

Omg yes!! There's an important part when they talked about their feelings and YWY made her admit out loud how she feels about him...he even asked her when she fell in love with him and she said she can't remember when and said "perhaps there were so many times and each time she fell in love with him a little bit more"...and then he said it's the same way for him as well as he doesn't really remember when it was that he fell in love with her...in the book they have a very playful relationship where they bicker often and he makes fun of her often but they are also very loving toward one another...

Xinger did agonized about this point before too when she was trying to figure out her feelings and during the 2 years she admitted to herself that all this time the person who has captured her heart was YWY...and that all those times before when she would think of him wasn't because she hated him but because she loved him...she also said that he was like her sunshine and since he left her world was now a gloomy sky...I feel like their love is truly one of a kind that triumphed through all obstacles because they were supposed to be enemies yet their love endured...the book was about a strong heroin and a great love story and I feel like this director screwed with both of those main elements...the YWY in the book created this kingdom of Qing Hai that didn't have slavery and even when and if there were slavery it was by choice and the slave has the freedom to buy him/herself back...this was the law YWY put in place...YWY said he wanted a place that was theirs and Qing Hai was it...you would love the YWY in the later parts of the book because he is so passionate when it comes to Xinger...he's very much like YeHua here where you can throw a beautiful naked woman in front of them and they wouldn't have any reaction but when they see their woman all they want to do is take them to bed!!

I'm really hoping and wishing they include their reunion from the book as the last scene because it ties everything up together nicely and it will show that our main couple Xinger-YWY have come full circle in their relationship (refer to my summary below for more details on this scene)...if they don't I will just go cry me a river...or drink 5 boba teas...or rewatch Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms...LOL...:D

@Linh no I haven't watched Princess Wei Young but if it has a sad ending I don't want to start...sad endings mess with my heart lol...I'm like you, I like romance and happy endings...I'm going on vacation with the family next week so hopefully that will take my mind off of this emotional roller coaster...I swear I feel like I'm going through a bad break up!! Aww @Linh I agree with you in that this is the first forum I've joined to discuss about a drama and in just a few days I feel like we've all become friends!! I also really appreciate everyone on this forum for being so respectful of one another, even when we have differing opinions...the reason I never or rarely ever comment on any public forum, is because of fear of getting attacked as I've seen on youtube and such...but I came here and saw that many of you are so invested in this drama so I decided to join the discussion and this has been a nice outlet for me to be able to talk about the drama I'm watching here because my hubby doesn't understand why I laugh and cry reading/watching this story lol...:)
Ok...onto the happy moments...it seems kisskh truncates long comments so I will have to break it up...but here's the summary of what happened during the 2 years as well as when YWY and Xinger reunite for the 1st time since his "death"...
So after YWY died at the lake, YX sent word back to YWY's family back in ChangAn that if they want his body back they will have to pay a ransom (YX sent people down to the lake to retrieve YWY's body but his body was never found so YX just lied and used a fake body to say he has YWY's body because it was all beat up anyway so no one would be able to recognize it)...YWY's family did pay the ransom to get YWY's fake body back but they didn't do it because they cared for him, they did it because of their face, but after they recovered YWY's fake body they spread the word that he has been disowned by the YuWen family clan because he has brought shame to their family name by sacrificing his life and his family name to save a woman, who was a slave and an enemy of the country...they then threw YWY's fake body out to be eaten by wolves and vultures...Xinger got news and sent people to recover what's left of YWY's fake remains (she still thinks this was his real body)...she buried his remains and created a grave site for him next to the ice lake and would visit it often and talk to him...at this point she no longer talks to YX...
2 years later...she was roaming around, traveling, and she ended up at a town near Liang state (I don't remember if it's near Liang state or at the Liang capital, but she's near Xiao Ce's home town :)...she was walking the streets one evening and saw that there was a moon lantern festival going on...she thinks about the time she and YWY went to the lantern festival and he bought her a rabbit lantern...then she saw vendors selling rabbit lanterns and decided to buy one...she walked with the lantern for a while and ended up at this river bank...she released the rabbit lantern into the river and watched it drift away...in the night sky and the illuminating light of the lanterns she "thought" she saw a familiar figure in the crowd, someone who's tall who looks like the "someone" in her memories, but it couldn't possibly be him...Xinger followed her rabbit lantern and saw that it has stopped moving so she ran closer to see and saw that her rabbit lantern bumped into a bigger rabbit lantern...she looked up and saw YWY standing on the other side of the crowd also watching the rabbit lanterns (the bigger rabbit lantern is YWY's)!! Xinger couldn't believe her eyes so she had to come closer to see for herself, she ran across the crowd towards that "tall man"...when she was inches in front of him she still couldn't believe what's in front of her...she thinks this is an illusion that she's dreaming, a dream she has envisioned for the past 2 years...they were in a crowded place and there were people around them and she didn't want to lose sight of this man, she thought to herself that in her life there has only been 2 times where she has really feared of losing someone, the first time was when YWY fell into the ice lake, and the second time was now...she reached out and grabbed his sleeve and suddenly a warm hand wrapped over her hand and held onto her...she buried her face in his chest and started sobbing, her tears soaked through his shirt and into his heart...she lost her balance because her knees went weak and he put his arm around her waist to support her...he didn't say anything but kept looking at her...through tears she asked him "Why lie to me?? Why not come see me?? I thought you died...I thought you died..." YWY moved his lips upward in a smirk but still did not say anything and continued to look at her...furious she pushed him away and asked "If you didn't die why didn't you come find me?? You could have written to me!!" YWY held out his arms and said "Come here..." Xinger wiped her tears, and for the first time in her life didn't want to argue with him and ran into his arms to be embraced in his chest...as he hugged her she said "Crazy guy!!" :)

So after YWY died at the lake, YX sent word back to YWY's family back in ChangAn that if they want his body back they will have to pay a ransom (YX sent people down to the lake to retrieve YWY's body but his body was never found so YX just lied and used a fake body to say he has YWY's body because it was all beat up anyway so no one would be able to recognize it)...YWY's family did pay the ransom to get YWY's fake body back but they didn't do it because they cared for him, they did it because of their face, but after they recovered YWY's fake body they spread the word that he has been disowned by the YuWen family clan because he has brought shame to their family name by sacrificing his life and his family name to save a woman, who was a slave and an enemy of the country...they then threw YWY's fake body out to be eaten by wolves and vultures...Xinger got news and sent people to recover what's left of YWY's fake remains (she still thinks this was his real body)...she buried his remains and created a grave site for him next to the ice lake and would visit it often and talk to him...at this point she no longer talks to YX...
2 years later...she was roaming around, traveling, and she ended up at a town near Liang state (I don't remember if it's near Liang state or at the Liang capital, but she's near Xiao Ce's home town :)...she was walking the streets one evening and saw that there was a moon lantern festival going on...she thinks about the time she and YWY went to the lantern festival and he bought her a rabbit lantern...then she saw vendors selling rabbit lanterns and decided to buy one...she walked with the lantern for a while and ended up at this river bank...she released the rabbit lantern into the river and watched it drift away...in the night sky and the illuminating light of the lanterns she "thought" she saw a familiar figure in the crowd, someone who's tall who looks like the "someone" in her memories, but it couldn't possibly be him...Xinger followed her rabbit lantern and saw that it has stopped moving so she ran closer to see and saw that her rabbit lantern bumped into a bigger rabbit lantern...she looked up and saw YWY standing on the other side of the crowd also watching the rabbit lanterns (the bigger rabbit lantern is YWY's)!! Xinger couldn't believe her eyes so she had to come closer to see for herself, she ran across the crowd towards that "tall man"...when she was inches in front of him she still couldn't believe what's in front of her...she thinks this is an illusion that she's dreaming, a dream she has envisioned for the past 2 years...they were in a crowded place and there were people around them and she didn't want to lose sight of this man, she thought to herself that in her life there has only been 2 times where she has really feared of losing someone, the first time was when YWY fell into the ice lake, and the second time was now...she reached out and grabbed his sleeve and suddenly a warm hand wrapped over her hand and held onto her...she buried her face in his chest and started sobbing, her tears soaked through his shirt and into his heart...she lost her balance because her knees went weak and he put his arm around her waist to support her...he didn't say anything but kept looking at her...through tears she asked him "Why lie to me?? Why not come see me?? I thought you died...I thought you died..." YWY moved his lips upward in a smirk but still did not say anything and continued to look at her...furious she pushed him away and asked "If you didn't die why didn't you come find me?? You could have written to me!!" YWY held out his arms and said "Come here..." Xinger wiped her tears, and for the first time in her life didn't want to argue with him and ran into his arms to be embraced in his chest...as he hugged her she said "Crazy guy!!" :)
