There's also speculations that Saitoh Takumi might be cast as Kyuuma but let's still wait for the official announcement haha

He's my top pick for this one and I'd looooove to see him as Kyuuma. Other potentials include Oguri Shun, Ayano Go and Tamaki Hiroshi!

Satoko's grandfather was doing something bad to her, yes. They knew it because of what little Satoko said, that line about her asking Yuri something along the lines of, "do you sleep with your grandpa, too Yuri-chan?" and then she goes on to say, "but aren't girls supposed to sleep with their grandpa?"

Yuri's parents ask her if Satoko does sleep with her grandpa, and clarifies whether she means "in the same room" or "in the same futon". Satoko answered the latter one so that's when they knew something's wrong.

Blu-rays are usually out 6 months after a movie, but since this is RuroKen, I have hope that it will be released earlier than expected. From then, we have to wait maybe some few weeks for someone to pick up the movie for subs. So maybe 5 months at best, 7 months at worst.

Unless Netflix/HBO acquired the rights to it or something (which I hope will happen - time to shake the online streaming platforms with this masterpiece!)

I also like how we're presented with the cute, fluffy sweetness of Wako/Meguru, and then there's the funny but squeal-worthy dynamic of Asahi/Kira - two unconventional pairs, two different dynamics but both equally interesting (and with relevant issues!)

Not gonna lie, I was smiling throughout at Wako and Meguru's cuteness in the first episode, then laughing at Kira and Asahi's scenes (legendary kabedon with the heels yo), and then sobering up at the relatable issues raised.

The drama's light and fluffy but throws in some real relevant lines and issues. For a pilot episode, I think they did well in providing a balanced taste of what's in store in the future episodes. Definitely looking forward to the next one! :)

First saw him in Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai and I love his acting! A promising child actor, I'm excited to watch his growth over the years.

Now that a season 2 is confirmed, I just hope that they will follow the original ending of the manga. It's already perfect, no need to change it since it follows the theme of the story. Another thing - when it comes to Chishiya... I hope they also follow his storyline, as much as possible. But yes we're getting a season 2!!!

YES EXACTLY!!! The backstory is more drawn out a bit in the manga and it made me so happy to know that a manga first published 2010 already included an LGBTQ+ character in the story! :')

Hi! As someone who read the manga, I can tell you that there definitely will be a season 2, with the 1st season ending at the Beach arc, as we call it. There is definitely still a lot more in store. And yes, that woman (her name's Mira btw) is deliberately sidetracked because...... well, no more spoilers now hahaha!

Hi! As someone who read the manga, what I can tell you is that it ended at a point where it leads to more development. It's not a closed nor an open ending per se, but it's a cliffhanger that really leaves you hanging. :)

The manga is my fave, it's absolutely aweome!! It took the death game genre and looked at it from a psychological/existential perspective. It's dark and gritty!

Will definitely have a 2nd season, methinks. It was a deliberate decision to end it at the Beach arc, because that's the best cliffhanger for the series. The next phase will be even more intense.

Yeah, of all characters, why Arisu and Chishiya, when their specialties are among the most important in the series? Someone mentioned on Twitter that this makes sense because Arisu's a gamer in the live action, so maybe they'll work out something?
