They cant take it out because its wrapped in the plastic thats bought from the room(unless you are saying they…
they bought the plastic with the time tho? It was bought outside in the metal shutter chute that everyone can use using minutes. i remember they also bought toilet paper and buckets alongside it for everyone. so it wasn’t bought in each individual room, which makes me confused about why they didn’t just throw their waste bags outside 😭 i guess the only thing they can’t throw outside in terms of waste is the empty food boxes, but at least those can be kept in each room without it smelling like actual excrement.
very odd, i found it weird how they decided on delivering food down the chute when they could have just all went up to eat at floor 8, made floor 8 kind of a common room from the VERY beginning. Number 8 only let the power get to her head when she saw the chaos ensue around her and herself not being affected by any of it because of her number 8 status. Also was confused about the bathroom situation because while there was a rule that nothing they buy inside their rooms can be brought out from the rooms, they didn’t purchase their waste???? That can definitely be brought outside of the room no? In that case They could’ve dumped all the waste bags in the empty pool. Also very unfortunate that #1 ended up passing away, he was not as evil as 6 or 8 who deserved a bigger beating, but i imagine if #1 had been in any of the highest floors, he may have been just like the power abusers. kind of felt like #8 had a lot of pretty privilege the whole show, i was dying to see her get tased or at least face some sort of humbling punishment. but i guess this is reflective of the true nature of society, that you can’t touch a single hair on the rich and powerful, even if you try. i liked this one a bit more than squid game just because the plot was a little more complex and really made you think of the intricacies of social stratification and it’s impact on social dynamics
the translation team for the manga posted a new chapter at least lol
OMGG i remember the anime ended on a major cliffhanger, or like an unsatisfying ending😭😭 maybe i have to read the manga cus we aint getting this cdrama anytime soon
for the people who dont enjoy this drama, i just finished ep 7 and WOW just WOW it really blew me away. certainly i must admit the first two eps were kind of patchy and a rocky start, but I am absolutely loving how the story is developing. It is WAYYY more than just about the world ending. It's deeply philosophical, political, emotional, uncomfortably realistic, and eye-opening. So so good, im blown away actually
"An asteroid is on course to crash into Earth in 200 days and destroy the planet."1st line from the synopsis :|
the impact will be on all of earth lmfao why would it be on just korea... they people are all trying to go to the US because apparently the US has made bunkers and other technology that will keep them safe from the impact of the asteroid. I assume some people are also at the airport because they are trying to travel and fulfill all their lifes wishes before the world ends so they have no regrets in the end.
surprised YAI actually gets quite a bit of screentime, i thought they would cut him out completely. enjoying this slice of life take on the end of the earth. it makes it seem all the more real than a full-on action take on the trope. i like the dynamics between the friends, theyre so sweet; a laidback ditsy priest, morally-rigid but loyal military officer, caring but reckless teacher/orphanage worker, and her kind but mysterious lab scientist boyfriend
the MDL rating is way too low IMO, it doesn't deserve such a low rating. i think the YAI scandal just caused a lot of people to start the show with very low-expectations and the fact it was more slice-of-life and slow-paced rather than a thrilling action plot probably gave a lot of people whiplash, leading to the overall low rating. i recommend giving it a chance! it might be your cup of tea if you usually prefer slow-paced plots with more slice of lifey elements rather than fast-paced plots meant to keep you on the edge of your seat.
the fact that its so realistic and an accurate reflection of human nature makes me so uncomfortable, which is why I think they did a great job at capturing that uneasy feeling of a real crisis.
lmao so many school dramas that paint teachers and the SK school system in bad light but they got their panties in a twist over this one... get over it lmfao it aint that serious
storyline buildup was really great until ep 80ish, then the dragged out BS from the jeguk+dajung marriage arc was really annoying, especially the SR fake pregnancy shit like they dragged it out way too much. def did not need to be extended, this story could've easily finished in 120 eps, they added sm filler in the last 15-20 eps, but i did enjoy some of it cus it was just stupid comedic relief and interesting to watch. i personally was not satisfied by the ending, SR should've gotten punished in a slow and emotionally scarring way, like paralysis or painful chronic illness or smth. she died too quick for all the suffering she put everyone through. Jeguk as well, he was literally a psychopath and he didn't get any kind of punishment except the money he lost. i wish he went to prison fr. besides that sunwoo and seungah did a great job, i hope ysw can get more leads roles after this because he did so good!!
