I’m just finding out she’s married and has a son with her co-star/director/screenwriter Chen Si Feng of Beijing Love Story, when they fell in love making the drama! So romantic!

Sometimes it’s best to skip the description and just watch because of the epic trailer!

Yes, to the family and everyone including the FL it looked and felt like a legit breakup. But, the ML loves her more than she knows and more than he shows.

This is worth watching. There is more realism and a lot less cliches of foolishness found in the typical family drama. The acting is the best part of this drama with the script surprisingly coming in a close second. Modern family dramas tend to have the typical conflicts of job, marriage, relatives and in-laws. This drama adds several unpredictable twists to the plot line that’s refreshing. There is enough romance to satisfy romance lovers and enough heart wrenching moments to puff your eyes. There are a few “long discussions on a sofa” scenes in the latter half that I skipped through as expected from a 44/46 episode drama. They did not detract from the quality of the storyline. 8.5/10

I Have not gotten that far. But, I’m glad some justice is served on the villains. They are all Karens and are angry when they step in their own crap. Of course, the universe wronged them. They never cry for the people they hurt or the families they left grieving. It’s their bad luck or fate from the villains’ perspective.

Lol! I have watched Boss and Me several times.
He is good in the drama “The Four” with William Chen, if you like costume dramas. Of course, they are both better than the drama.

I have not seen Paris Downcast. I will skip it. I have so many other dramas to watch. Looks like he directed it as well as acted in it. Maybe, he should have written the script.

I skipped almost every scene with the rich overbearing parents, the wanna be love rivals and the assistants. This went from a love square to a pentagon and the rivals are irritating not competent. But, the ML’s smile and laughter is life!

I’m biased towards romance. I avoid bloody dramas with zombies, vampires and other flesh eaters. But, the way the ML plays the vampire is intriguing. He’s charismatic and a bit dark.

Shin Se Gi needed his own drama. I’ve watched this several times because of his character.

Fang Xaioyu constantly attacks the ML about his missing sister. I suspect she was the first wife who chased him and had the arranged marriage pushed on him by the parents. Haven’t seen her yet at 1/2 way through the drama. I haven’t read the novel. Just guessing. Another rival with strong family background.

Watch Vampire Prosecutor. It’s good and has two seasons.

I assume he is at least 3 years older. He was married 3 years earlier, if I accurately recall the discussion with his mother in ep. 21. I’m assuming he was out of college when he got married. Mo Fei just graduated. He was already a CEO when she graduated. He’s probably 3-5 years older. They styled her to look too young.

That was my favorite scene in the drama so far! Xueling forgot there is sky above a sky and she can be replaced. Her parents are just like her. She learned that manipulative move from them. That plagiarist assistant should have been fired months ago! She lacks talent.

They dragged out the minutiae and will rush the ending. You pretty much know all the co-conspirators by ep. 36. The only thing left is to expose them and get some justice in the last 9 episodes. There is no anticipation for anything exciting or romantic or mysterious to come. It’s bland at this point.

He’s a saint compared to the emperors who had a wife for each day of the year!

I liked the IT guy character played by Lee Hong Chi. He needs more main roles. The storyline was average. 8.5/10
