A flawed man is still a man, but I didn't manage to see this "character" as a man, as he had none of the masculine qualities, and had even no character at all. He was like a puppet, just being there and doing nothing - it was very weird to see. I felt that the emotions FL had towards this "character" were like projections of her dreams onto a white screen.

I thought I was the only one wishing that. :)

Tushan Jing / Ye Shi Qi (this is the same person)

The story evolves around the birth secret of FL and the revenge of ML for the murder of his teacher. I found it very entertaining - I liked both the character of ML and FL, and their story as well, which starts from ep 7 - but if you don't like it, just drop..

I didn't understand why she kept repeating "it is my fault" (after the confrontation scene).

I've just rewatched the end of ep 38, and still don't understand the "divine mantle" concept and how it is possible that the same soul is split in two persons and talking with each other (Fan Yue and Jing Yuan's dialogue), but thank you anyway. ;)

I can accept that, but why didn't this 'soul fragment' reunite with the rest when liberated from the hidden heart? And why this 'soul fragment' wanted to find Xing Yue in the sky?

If Bai Shuo is the reincarnation of Xing Yue, then Xing Yue wasn't in the sky, but right in front of him (just with no memories of her past life, but the soul is the same).

And why Bai Shuo said several times that she is Bai Shuo, and not Xing Yue?

If she is the reincarnation of Xing Yue, she is _also_ Xing Yue (it is the same soul), she just has no memory of her pas life.

The reincarnation means there is one soul who experiences several lifes... no? But Fan Yue and Jing Yuan were two different souls... Jing Yuan's soul left Fan Yue's body and went away to reunite with Xing Yue in ep 38.

If Fan Yue was truly his reincarnation, how it is possible that they are shown as two different souls? When Jing Yuan's soul entered into his body, his should have "just" reunite with Fan Yue's soul, so Fan Yue would remember everything what happened before his birth, the whole life of Jing Yuan, and we wouldn't see them as two different people.

Souls are supposed to be "eternal", and not just memories of a life.

So Bai Shuo and Fan Yue weren't the reincarnations of Xing Yue and Jing Yuan, as they had different souls. But then why did they have to 'continue' the story, and the mission of Xing Yue and Jing Yuan, and what exactly was the connection between Bai Shuo and Xing Yue, Fan Yue and Jing Yuan? I don't understand this "divine mantle" thing...

I was sad for Xing Yue and Jing Yuan.

"his looks are very fey and delicate imo" I agree 100%. I am watching this drama because the story is entertaining, but definitely not because of his looks... But I can understand that others like his looks, just my taste is different. :)

Shen Yuan in ep 32... Yi Ning in ep 33.

"I can’t warm up to this character no matter what." I feel the same. The amnesia doesn't justify what she did, she still had her own personality.

In ep 17

In "Are you the one", he won back the FL in ep32. It's seems to be his norm. :D But better late than never... (Lost you forever 🙄)

I remembered it wrong, it's in ep 33... :D

It's a happy ending, there is a 2ML, but it's not really a love triangle, there is no real break up, but ML and FL get together just around ep 32.. FL is very smart, so is ML, and he is very good at fighting as well. :)

"he started chasing after her only after he saw her in the capital, when she returned. " He went to the capital so fast not for the emperor, but because he knew that she would be there, to get revenge.

I agree, the scriptwriters messed up the romantic thread, and it's really a pity given the excellent chemistry between the main leads.
