yea cliche plot with typical predictable sad ending, not like they did twist to the ending so people already know how it ended.
The acting and chemistry were okay as well to me, they’re cute together.
yea they supposed to have a drama together (I heard they’re from same company) but in the drama, she’s just a guest role since it will be male centric.

haha I watched that as well because I like both of them but the movie wasn’t really well received because according to viewers, they ruined the novel. Not the acting but the plot, story itself😅

exactly, I’m not okay with useful people dying while useless characters have their happy ending that we don’t even to see😅

yes aside from next novel from sequel about their descendant, I can only think of dim dim chances of him coming back for good after 1 year or just once a year😌

I want ti watch back their happy/funny moments together, should have added the hiding inside his robe scene too😌

Aside from the ending, I’m actually quite satisfied that they did get marry and probably consummate their wedding night before all hell break loose😌

Shi Ying supposed to be a regeant until Shi Yu’s child will be old enough to take the throne. Shi Yu actually died in the novel but miraculously the writer made him a king in the drama and killed Shi Ying instead, which is too much for me.

like yea he appeared but only when flowers bloom, meaning one a year. ZY already had short lifespan left and she spent it missing him after losing her parents, her family.
I can’t take it that he’s not by her side like other couples who ended so happily. It’s like rubbing salt to my wound😌

it’s good that they did that scenes because we as viewers know and being shown how much he adores her ever since tge beginning but ZY in the drama didn’t know that. All she saw was high &mighty priest SY, her shifu. It’s a good scene for FL to see it herself, what’s really going on outside his facade in front of her😌

yes I understand when you said tragic and made reference to GMP, that’s a compliment to me since GMP was really well known.

ikr I like how unique she looks but still a beauty to me. Styling really matters, because towards the ending you will notice they actually tried more with her hairstyle and outifts, thus she’s looking prettier than her initial flat bang hairstyle days in the beginning. I think RM looks so much better with natural light make up because she has such pretty skin color imo. In her modern drama, her make up is very minimal and she shines, she has natural beauty. And yes, in some scenes in TLP, with her gorgeoys styling she did look like a doll.

Now that you bring up GMP which to me is my one top tragic drama that I love dearly until now😌
The leads of this drama dearly love each other till the end with all the sacrifices they made for each other but the ending was quite there Iike GMP I must say. GMP was more extreme but the heartbreak it gave me me, quite similar.

It’s crazy how they’re calling RM servant girl material looks because how she looked on last 10eps especially was really pretty imo, like even at the market when she said she has ‘average looks that don’t stand out in the crowd’, I was like girl have you seen yourself in the mirror this morning??

Lifespan short to 27yrz with losing sense, her parents freaking died and she had to lost SY too. I bet these scrip writers are fellow women 100% they always love pulling off something like this for FL😂

I can clearly see the differences when she treated SY & Yuan. There’s never lovestruck looks she had for SY whenever she looked at Yuan.
I also looked at stuffs from her pov so I can understand her like I understand SY.

If your brother who’s always there for you since you were little died in front of you like that, while you know he’s not the bad guy, would you be just whatever just because of someone you love for around 2-3years? yea love is blind but she made it clear that Yuan is family, brother or even father to her.
If you saw stuffs from just one point of view, this is the result. A bias opinion.

The main strength of last 8 episodes is the acting department. Like whoa I’m impressed with both Xiao Zhan & Ren Min. Such good acting synergy. Plus Allen Fang. The CGI & fighting scenes were top notch too😌
