In the forest, she’s roasting a chicken, they didn’t show her running around catching it. They don’t have to show every single details of what she did, just use some simple imagination will do😅
If there’s any cuts, I don’t find it interrupting the plot anyway. I can still understand perfectly fine.

I enjoy this drama so far. Those who dislike it probably had too much expectation from TBOY, like come on this is not the same level budget production. If you want to make comparison from Li Hongyi’s past works, maybe Queen Lau or Love Better Than Immortality are more fitting. This is more like light version of romcom wuxia, with some xianxia element. At least the acting dept is quite good here I can say. Everyone is watchable.

I want to make a wild guess about Bai Yue & Ye Xi… I think they’re married couple but of course she forgot that. Judging from his reaction when he didn’t even turn around when he saw her taking a bath, like he’s so cool about it😂
Her dream about them almost kissing is not a dream I bet, it happened in the past. Since this drama is like going reverse about what actually happened, she didn’t remember because of the lost memory after dying twice…and there’s a scene of them getting married in the ending song.
I’m curious about what happened with the previous crown prince who died. What really happened between them?

you need to get to ep2 to understand, there’s something else happening. This is like reverse story where FL finding out what actually happened to her because she lost her memory. ML knew everything but he seems to hide a lot of stuffs from her.

up to ep4, I also have the same question as FL Ye Xi, how many men have she been with? lol
so far it’s interesting, ep2 started to get better. I can already see the chemistry between ML FL, decent acting (more on FL side) and great visuals by both. Both ML FL look believable doing wuxia scenes. Gorgeous looking ML FL, definitely eye candies. I like that FL is good at martial art.
This story seems to focus more on FL so far, so maybe if you’re Li Hongyi’s fans, you will find his character a bit disappointing so far but it’s just the beginning, I’m quite sure it will also focus more on him later on.
I found this drama interesting because I want to know what really happened before FL lost her memory and relationship between Bai Yue & Ye Xi. He obviously hide something from her and didn’t want to be honest about it.
I don’t understand the comments saying they don’t understand the drama tho, what’s so confusing about? it’s pretty simple & easy to understand.

yup, they mostly cut romance scenes especially sizzling skinship. From what I can observed, they will go strict with traffic, more popular leads because their drama will get more attention and viewers. Less know dramas with less known leads didn’t suffer much from it.

ikr the production team should just leak the cut scenes like some dramas did, their hard works shouldn’t just go down the drain because of the censeorship.

I watched this until ep8 and yea sometimes it’s okay, sometimes it’s so boring I did a lot of skipping especially the SML’s part, he looked like their uncle help😹. The only scene I found memorable was under the rain scene, when ML was trying to give back FL earring which she accidently dropped in the restaurant. He almost saw her face but SML came to third wheel lol but it was such a beautiful scene imo the whole turning things and rain/umbrella added to melancholic effect. The gaming scene was interesting and cool to watch at first but it became repetitive & boring to me after few episodes. The age gap between leads are just 4yrs irl so it wasn’t that hard to watch. I don’t really like older women/younger clingy men trope anyway. Watch this if you want bunch of cool Lin Yi’s moments with his riffle/gun/stunts. Xu Lu is gorgeous, but heavy make up makes her looks way older. She looks way better with less, natural make up. Her in the red dress she wore during dance scene was so gorgeous!
Among c-actresses, I have always found Xu Lu & Bailu look older than their age. When I first saw both of them, I thought they’re 30+, good acting tho.

watch for some good visuals of the casts here, like most of them are really good looking especially the main leads. Cringey trope but it’s quite okay for short drama, plus the acting weren’t so bad.

It’s about time that she lands a lead role. She’s so pretty & very natural at acting in P&C. Some new actresses in lead roles can’t even act these days. Especially those new iqiyi dramas lol

Yun Shu is probably the only FL character in cdrama that I can tolerate the naiveness lol
and that’s mostly because I found her very naturally pretty and her chemistry with Zhang Si Nian off the charts! Like the chemistry is really chemistrying here.
I wish Wei Zheming & Xu Ruohan can work together again for modern romcom one day. Like the chemistry is THERE.

But FL acting is good, better than other new actresses I watched in iqiyi dramas these days.
